Lovely hostel with very friendly staff and plenty of toilets, showers and hot water. Breakfast was a little disappointing but one can't grumble given the price. It is in the perfect location, literally 2 minutes from the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia and loads of shops and cafés

Hostel Mostel

Having spent the last fortnight staying in hostels in Bulgaria this was the worst one I've found so far. Essentially just a converted flat, and not a very clean one. No hot water when you needed it. Too few showers and toilets. A very small kitchen and no living area or seating for socialising or eating food. Won't be staying here again.

Hostel Mostel Veliko Tarnovo

Considering the reputation we were rather disappointed with hostel mostel. There were too few showers and toilets leading to long queues. The wifi was sporadic at best, and the atmosphere was poor. Additionally, unless you have paid for the more expensive beds you have to pay extra for breakfast and the evening meal. This clause is completely absent from Hostel Mostel's own advertising at seems at odds with their claim of "no hidden fees". In summary cheap but dull and with few facilities.

Very friendly staff, cheap and in a good location for cafés and bars in the old town. Would stay here again.
