This was a fine place to spend a night - we were able to check in when we arrived at 10am after an overnight train ride which we really appreciated, and were even upgraded to a private room! Staff were helpful enough, but one staff member did not speak much English which made communication difficult. Bathrooms were small and did not smell very clean, but the bedroom was comfortable and clean enough, and we enjoyed the balcony.
We enjoyed our stay at this clean, comfortable place - bottom bunk beds have privacy curtains which is a nice touch, and lockers are large enough to fit a backpack. Well-equipped kitchen with free coffee and tea, and cereal/toast for breakfast. The owner, Phil, goes above and beyond to make his guests feel welcome, and we loved chatting with the other staff as well!
Probably our favorite hostel of the many we stayed in on our trip! Gorgeous building with very clean, comfortable rooms - the extra money for the 6-bed dorm is worth it for the amazing view from the balcony! Extremely comfortable beds with privacy curtains, reading lights and outlets. Great atmosphere (local craft beers in the fridge help with making new friends), and Cat is such a welcoming and helpful host. Hope to come back someday for a longer stay!
Very comfortable and clean apartment in an excellent location right in the middle of downtown. Small but well-equipped kitchen was a definite plus. The owner is friendly and happy to help out - excellent value for money!
Definitely a hippie vibe at this hostel, but it's just as described in the detailed information. Surprisingly clean and comfortable, although the wifi didn't work while we were there.
Amazing little find in Budapest! A small hostel with big rooms - no bunk beds In our room and we had our own little "nook" with personal lamps and plenty of space, even though we paid the very reasonable price for a 7-bed dorm. We loved the location by the river, close to lots of restaurants and the attractions on the Buda side. Not right in the party center of town, but we liked that, and budapest is very walkable overall.
We loved our stay here! A small, cozy hostel that makes it so easy to meet almost everyone else staying in the hostel. Almost every night the hostel organized delicious, inexpensive veggie dinners and pub crawls that were easygoing and very social. Maybe more expensive than other hostels in the area but the atmosphere and great free breakfast (toast, eggs, cereal, cheese and meats) made it worthwhile.
Great location close to the bus stop and within walking distance of all sites. Clean, comfortable place with really funny, friendly staff and an atmosphere conducive to meeting other travelers. Breakfast wasn't much, just toast and cereal with coffee. Wish we could have stayed longer to take advantage of all the social events and check out the spa!
Clean place, our room wasn't too noisy even with the bar downstairs. Nicely equipped kitchen and a comfy common room. We were exhausted from traveling so we didn't go to the bar but it looked like a nice place to hang out! Great location right by the bus stop made a day trip to blarney castle very easy.
A bit of a walk (20 minutes) from the center of Dingle, but it's not unpleasant, and they have a free shuttle to bring you to town to catch your bus. Staff was very welcoming and had many suggestions for things to do in town, also offered to store our bags for the day and then drive them into town to meet us before our bus. No breakfast included, but two very well-equipped kitchens for cooking meals. Nice, hippie-esque place for young people and families alike.
We loved our stay at this hostel! We got great advice about a couple of off-the-beaten-path hikes, our room was comfortable and clean, and there was plenty of space both indoors and out to sit and read or eat at the on-site restaurant/cafe. Our favorite part was the free breakfast, which was a wonderful surprise - cereal with yogurt and absolutely delicious gourmet toppings, brown bread and jam, and tasty coffee and tea. Doolin Hostel helped us to fall in love with Doolin!
Excellent location, clean and welcoming space. The staff was friendly enough, and quite helpful with information about the city. There was a big school group staying while we were there, so we didn't meet many other travelers. The rooms were well-equipped with lockers under the beds and individual lights and outlets by each bed. Cozy common room with movies and computers; nice, bright kitchen with a basic breakfast (toast, coffee, cereal, fruit) in the mornings.
