Nice stay here. The barman Tony is lovely but he's the exception. Most staff are pretty mardy. The kitchen is small and a lady that lives there uses all the hobs to cook food. One day she spent 5 hours cooking!! Breakfast is basic. Rooms are good sizes and the locker in your room can only be opened by your own key card. The bar downstairs has a good atmosphere and live acts.
We liked it here. The 'metro' you have to get is FGC, which has an orange symbol above it. Once we found this it was super easy. The train only takes 15 minutes or so but it's a comfortable journey. Another review called the walk from the station to the hostel a 'hike'.. It's not. It took us 7 minutes with massive backpacks on. Yeah it gets steep at the top but it's not so bad
We were put into separate beds (I was on the bottom bunk of one bed
The directions on here are crap. We got lost, rang the hostel and the lady couldn't speak English so it ended up taking us 2 hours to find the place. It's about 20 minute walk out of town on a dodgy road. The bar staff were lovely and it was open to the public on a night so had atmosphere. The room we stayed in couldn't be locked from the inside! It was just a padlock on the outside for when you went out. No bin in the room - pain. Breakfast is basic (bread
We loved our stay here. The staff are lovely they told us everywhere that is good to go in Madrid. The hostel is in a brilliant location and the rooms are nice and clean, which contain a big locker each but you need a padlock. The rooftop bar is a nice place to chill out but you couldn't take your own beer so it meant buying a small beer at €3 each time. The breakfast was simple but the tomato stuff that you put on the bread is to die for! Highly recommend staying here.
The staff here were amazing they showed you everywhere to go in Girona and had a laugh with you. The location is only 15 mins from the station and is only 2 mins away from everything. The rooms were nice and big with big lockers and a private bathroom. The kitchen had everything you need. Breakfast was nice and simple. The rooftop bar is a great added bonus, you can take your own beer up or buy it and it was a brilliant atmosphere! Bar lady had good tips about other places. Would stay again.
The staff were lovely and had a really good map in reception to show you where all the nearest shops/metro stops/restaurants etc were. The rooms were a good size and they contained a safe each but no lockers. It was a nice big shared bathroom in the room but between 8 it meant people were waiting for showers etc for a while. The courtyard is lovely to sit in at night and the bar had a decent atmosphere. The price is the only downfall, yes it's Paris but its 20 mins out
The directions from the site are good. Rooms were nice and clean but the only security was the lock on your door. No lockers or safes in the rooms either. Breakfast is simple, the usual thing you'd find in a hostel. The kitchen consists of an oven hob
Not a bad stay at this hostel. Our main problems were the stairs; spiral staircase for backpackers isn't brilliant, they were a death trap! The showers were located out the back but you had to walk through the bar to get to them plus the bar is for public so anyone can get to them - only a shower curtain between you and the sinks. Staff were really helpful and the bar was nice
Had a really good time at this hostel, the staff were friendly and welcoming. The location is good, only a five minute walk from the centre, train station
We booked a 6 bed female dorm but after we checked in and went up to our room we found that we were actually staying with 4 boys. Turns out they'd mixed up our booking and put us in a mixed dorm, there were no female dorms left. Apart from that, the room was clean and quite nice. The bathroom was lovely. The street that our room backed onto was quite loud because we did sleep with the window open as the room was boiling. The area seemed kind of dodgy and was a pain to get to. Overall alright.
