Anker Hostel

Stayed for 2 nights. The location is 10 mins away from Oslo train station, the area is little bit dodgy but nothing to worry about. The staff were ok, quite curt but quite helpful at times. The dorm we stayed in (8 bed) was quite standard, lacked some cleanliness to be honest. Weird to find a kitchen in our room however, but otherwise there is a small shared kitchen people can use. Need to put a deposit down for kitchen utensils which was annoying. Common area is small so lacked atmosphere.

Stayed for 1 night. Location is quite far away, about a 40-50 min walk from central station. The dorms we were staying in looked old, the rooms were quite small (4 bed dorm) but quite clean and had a tv. The common area is quite big where films are played every night and you can play pool. Shared kitchen was large so quite sociable. Otherwise the atmosphere lacked slightly. The staff were really nice, went on a bar crawl with them! Would stay again, shame about the location.

I stayed here for one night in early july. Its quite close to South Kensington tube station, about a 10 min walk. We were watching a concert at the royal albert hall, which was less than 30 secs away so perfect for us. Not hard to find. The staff were really nice. Our room was situated on the 4th floor, no lift so had to lug away bags all the way, but this was quite minor. Really clean rooms with lockers under beds and an ensuite. Breakfast was included, rolls and cornflakes. Would stay again!
