Great hostel. My boyfriend and I stayed here for 2 nights in a private room with ensuite. The room was really nice clean, comfortable and spacious with A/C and ceiling fan. Very comfortable bed only thing was there was only 2 pillows on the bed 4 would have been better. The private room all have there own little entrance veranda area looking out to the garden hang out area which was really nice. The location is great too. breakfast was decent. hot water was not always working

THIS HOSTEL IS A DIRTY MESS AND EXTREMELY UNORGANISED. I called up to change my booking from a 3 person room to a 4 person room, it took weeks for them to fix the booking & I had to call them almost everyday for about 3 weeks to get it done. We were not in the main hostel but in another location called the Lamrock Lodge, this place was terrible the man at reception was creepy and couldn't understand anything we were saying, on top of this our rooms were infested with cockroaches.

I only stayed at this hostel for 1 night it was ok but i felt like it could do with a make over. I didn't like having a house key style key to the dorm room and no lockers in dorm rooms is not very good I feel like charging extra for a locker that isn't even in your room is pretty slack also it would have been nice to have oats or cereal for breakfast rather than just toast or pancakes and seating would be nice as i had to eat standing. Staff were really nice and helpful though.

I loved staying at this hostel, dorm rooms were fantastic very spacious clean and comfortable, the breakfast was really good. The staff were awesome both the guys Jason and the south African guy who's name I didn't get were super friendly and helpful. Location is ace right among all the cool bars, shops and restaurants on Damon and Milwaukee and a quick walk to the train station. As a female solo traveler it would have been good if the hostel had social activities ie, game night

USA Hostels San Francisco is by far one of the best Hostels I have ever stayed in. As a female traveling by myself it was the perfect place to stay as I felt completely safe and the staff were super friendly and helpful. The hostel was really social and all the activities such as free walking tours, pub crawls, movie nights and wine and cheese night made it really easy to meet people and make friends. I had an amazing time here thanks to everyone especially Brendan who took the walking tour.

This hostel has great facilities, very clean and comfortable with everything that you need but the atmosphere was terrible. It is too big it has no homely feel to it and isn't good for meeting other people it feels like being in an airport or a public food court or something. as a female solo traveler I felt safe here (apart from walking past the projects at night) but it was a lonely place. Would be perfect if you are travelling in a group
Thank you for your comment. We are currently working on renovations on the 1st floor to make it more cozy and comfortable. See you soon.
