A really nice stay overall. Super comfy beds and free towels and breakfast. Really social atmosphere for those looking to meet other people. A little bit of a walk to the main square in Prague, but the whole city is really small and walkable so that's not a big concern.
Castle Rock is located just next to Edinburgh Castle, and so it has a great location on the Royal Mile. It's a big place, and lots of people here are staying longer term - but there are also lots of people passing through as well. My bed had a lamp and sockets, and the bedding was comfy but the mattress was really worn through so if I stayed there longer than 2 nights I would have been really bothered by that. Basic breakfast available for £1.50 - juice, cereal, bread. Lots of lounge spaces too.
This is a safe and secure hostel that is about a 6-8 min walk from Queen's University campus and a quick bus/train ride (or a longer walk) away from Cathedral Quarter and Titanic Quarter. The rooms were spacious and the beds were actually comfortable! (can't always say that about a hostel). Breakfast was basic (bread, cereal, jams) but included so that's great. Always events going on for you to join, and booking tours through them is easy as well. The only downside is no bedside lamps/plugs.
Great location in a beautiful city. The rooms and bathrooms were clean and well-maintained. Having the bar just a few steps away was a big plus too (cheap drinks!). Social atmosphere but if you want to go to bed early be sure to bring earplugs with you because you can hear the bar late on rowdy nights. There is a bakery next door (and many more on the street) so breakfast is easy and cheap to get. Overall a great stay. Location is perfect :)
A bit of a walk into the heart of the city, but Bilbao is so small that it's completely manageable. Rooms were a bit cramped but I was also staying with some pretty noisy (and stinky!) people so that didn't really help! Nice staff and it was pretty clean overall.
Good location. Beds were comfy but our room didn't have air conditioning, so with it being late July the heat was pretty unbearable at night. Kitchen facilities were good too. Shared M/F washroom. It is a huge hostel so they had lots of fun events going on - I recommend the walking tour and pub crawls, always worth your time. A good social atmosphere but it lacks a big main living room/hangout space (we mostly used the kitchen or the small space downstairs). But overall good value for your money
Sintra is definitely a must-visit city if you are near Lisbon, and Nice Way Palace was a great place to stay. A relaxed, chill-out vibe (Sintra is definitely not a "party town"), the hostel was still quite social and we met some nice people. Staff were nice and helpful, especially Mike. Free breakfast was basic but fine. Rooms were clean but I found the mattress a bit thin, but otherwise comfy. I recommend you look up specific directions on how to get here before arriving though - it's confusing
A great stay! The bedrooms were clean and roomy, and the safe/locker was very convenient. The bathrooms were nice too (separate male and female - 3 shower and 3 bathroom stalls each) and cleaned fairly often. The free events were great and we enjoyed the atmosphere and were able to make friends easily. The complementary breakfast included breads, cereals, a little meat and cheese, yogurt (at times) and breakfast drinks - the best hostel breakfast I've ever had! The staff were really nice too!
