Little Quarter Hostel

Prague, Czech Republic

Pretty far up the hill (close to castle) so you're always walking up and down the hill to see things. The street is lined with souvenir shops, lots of tourists during the day but quiet at night. Easy to get a good sleep. Rooms are comfy and clean, amazing pillows, huge lockers. Not the best for meeting other travelers/not a party hostel. Friendliness of staff was a crapshoot but never great.

Charles Bridge Economic Hostel

Prague, Czech Republic

Great place but more like a hotel than hostel. Bad for meeting other travelers. Lots of older folks with kids. Security was great, only negative was they had run out of padlocks for the individual lockers in the dorm room but you really didn't need to have one. Towels were included, free drinks (bottled water, etc). Really enjoyed my stay!

Good for a frat house to party in

Cracow Hostel

Krakow, Poland

Great place, clean, friendly, very accommodating and you really can't get a better location. If you want to sleep, book a 6 bed or less room since it tends to draw people with a calmer quieter vibe. Plenty of toilets and showers. Wifi was a bit sketchy but they had plenty of computers to use. Breakfast was great, you could make your own eggs! I would highly recommend this place especially to a solo traveler. It was very easy to meet people. One of my favorite hostels!

Poprad, Slovakia

Great place to catch your breath and relax. Very mellow hostel, only one other person staying in my dorm room which is more like a suite, there is the bedroom and a living room/kitchenette. Location was fairly close to the train station but not in the center if town, you'll be walking a bit to do anything. Girl working was very friendly and happy to help answer questions about the area/best modes of transportation. Very flexible with check out. "Lockers" didn't lock, but still felt very safe!

Hostel above club Madrid

Kosice, Slovakia

Great place! Hostel is above a small restaurant/bar which is convenient but not rowdy so you can sleep at night (I think they close down by 11-12). Entry is the same for both hostel and restaurant so essentially anyone could wander upstairs to your room. No keys,
