This is an alcohol free hostel. I would have not stayed there had I known that. I read many reviews and none of them mentioned that, and it was also not clearly stated in the website for the hostel either. The social events, breakfast, security, and cleanliness were good.

I was there for three nights, and I was unhappy with the hostel. First of all there is one key to each room that has three people. So when I got a new roommate at midnight he came up and had to keep on knocking until it woke me up just to get inside. Plus, even with a layer of linens, then the sheet covers under me something kept on biting me in my sleep, I came way from the hostel with countless bug bites that were 99.9% not mosquito bites. The shower didn't. Drain properly too.

The hostel was quite nice although it was rather quite compared to most of the hostels I have stayed in. This might be a draw to some, but I am traveling alone. It wasn't a hostel where you meet people and go out with those people, but it is pretty ideal if you are traveling with friends. I stayed in a four person room which was quite narrow, but sheets were part of the price of the hostel. There were two unisex bathrooms and two showers per gender. The showers had curtains.

I stayed in the giant 66 person room, and the beds were separated into cubicles of 2 bunk bed each. The environment at the hostel was great and I meet many people and went out with them. The showers aren't anything to boast about. I didn't take a shower for the two days I was there. Ick. I just couldn't bring myself to do that. Anyhow, you have to pay for the linnens for the bed. There are lockers to put your stuff right next to your bunk which felt safe to me. The staff was super fair and nice
