MOx Hostel Arraial d'Ajuda

Arraial da Ajuda, Brazil

Nice location on Arrajals Main Street, lots of Restaurants and Bars next door, beach 8 mins away. Rooms are just fine, we stayed in a shared dorm and a private dorm (which was very spaceious and had its own bathroom, just like the shared dorms. TVs in every dorm). Breakfast is served every morning from 8-10 and it's more than decent! The Staff doesn't speak english, but theyre friendly and try to help you out with your questions and problems. Would def. stay here again!

Girassol Hostel

Girassol Hostel is located in the alternative area of Villa Madelena which is easy accessible (metro station 10mins away) and seemed safe to me. The hostel is small so that the atmosphere is family-like. Our private room had one double bed and closet in it. The staff is friendly, helpful and speaks good English. On top of the very good Wifi there are two computers you can freely use. In the morning you can help yourself to a breakfast with toast, jam and eggs. Overall, I def. recommend it.

Hostel Made in Brazil

Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

New and VERY basic hostel, we booked a private room which was basically just a room with one bunk-bed for us. The rooms are very small, almost no space. There are two bathrooms with one shower each in them, very basic as well, but clean most of the time. Staff spoke some english and was very friendly and outgoing. There is no breakfast, there's a restaurant downstairs though which serves pretty good food at all times at good prices. Wifi was ok, broke down a few times though. 3 mins from metro.
