The staff was not the most friendly but they know it and people who go to Amsterdam usually don't care. The hostel is huge with a nice and big bar/restaurant/living room (good breakfast included). Nice garden. Free Wifi but not in the rooms. Small rooms and bathrooms. There is a club in the basement that should be cool (i didn't go but the idea sounds nice). It close to the city centre, you can easily walk there.
Really nice. Close to the centre (never took transportations). Free wifi, one key per person, really clean room and toilettes (i had shower in my room and was really big). They don't offer breakfast but they have a well organized kitchen. Elevator. They don't have curfew but still no 24h reception (if i'm not wrong the common living room closes at 23.00). I enjoyed my staying there, i would recommend it. But also check their other hostel, GRAND PLACE which one minute from Grand Place/Grote Markt
One minute away from Gare du Lyon, that's good. But the station (and its people) is not the best surrounding. Reception nice enough and 24h. NO FREE WIFI (should be illegal) and NOT SAFE (one key per room). Very small common room and bad shared toilettes and shower. I will suggest to go there JUST if you arrive late at night or have to go to the station early in the morning because the price then is fine, considering is Paris.
This hostel is A M A Z I N G! The staff is super helpful, rooms are large, clean and fashionable. Here the showers and the toilettes are shared but showers are huge and everything is so clean,it's definitely not like the normal shared bathroom (i experienced in other hostels). 24 h reception, no curfew, a lovely cheap bar opened until late, cozy living room with huge TV (you can watch movies, TV series, play PS), free wifi and PCs, possibility of dinner (homemade mama's food) and pubcrawl for 20
