Great hostel. It is still pretty new, so there are not many reviews, but this is owned by the same folks that own Backpackers Family House, so trust it. This hostel is good.

All good here. Restaurant and guest kitchen always a plus. Chill, but fun.

Only hostel I have ever given a 100% rating out of maybe 60 hostel reviews. Staff is mostly multi-lingual locals who are all really great. This place is awesome.

Standard party hostel. Good vibes, bad wifi. Staff is helpful and nice. Some worn out or broken items, some sense of lack of authority (not necessarily a bad thing at all). They do a pretty good job at keeping it quiet in the rooms (impressive), and the bathrooms aren't bad. Note, they do have hot water, it is just a valve on the pipe instead of a knob on the wall.
Hi, We have fix the wifi issue, it was a blocking signal from our security camera with the wifi, but it has been fixed. thanks to your comment. and most of the items in the hostel have been repaired and or bought brand new. Cheers Happy Holidays Management

Hostel is fine. It was quiet and just what I was looking for, but do not expect a lot to do around the hostel. Kitchen was nice and modern. Overall glad I was traveling with a group; otherwise, I would have moved into the Old Town much sooner.

One of the better "corporate" hostels out there. Perfectly located with decent facilities. Loved that they have a full restaurant and bar, but still had a kitchen for the guests! Had a little confusion about the bill, but the staff was great and worked with me. It is one of the more expensive options in Bocas, and for that reason I left...only to end up coming back, because it really is the best option.

Such a lovely place! It is a little out of the way and quiet. The owners and their friends/family are all super sweet and helpful. The facilities are all brand new, so everything works very well. Internet was fast, AC was cold, and they had a filter system so you could drink from the tap (free water). Such a great experience here.

Good hostel, great view, friendly staff for the most part. Amazing view, ok wifi, no free breakfast or kitchen for guests. Jose is the man. All around can't wait to go back!

I stayed in 3 different hostels in Bogota. This is my favorite one. Really nice staff, friendly guests, and great everything else (breakfast, location, internet, etc...). Bob's Restaurant a couple of blocks down the street has awesome pizza too.

Not a bad place. Looked like it could get really fun on the weekends, but not a lot going on during the week. Staff ranged from very sweet and accommodating to abrasive. Bartenders were great. Amazing rooftop and courtyard pool.
Thank you for this awesome comment.Find us on Facebook : La Brisa Loca Hostel, Santa Marta.

It is a corporate party hostel. Just about what you would expect. Nothing really bad, but nothing really stands out either. It would be better if employees had more freedom to create an atmosphere.

My only complaint about this hostel would be that it is kind of quiet. Other than that it is AMAZING. The ladies who work here are super sweet. The building and courtyards are beautiful. The internet is blazing fast. The breakfast is good. Location is great. All around a really nice spot.

Not impressed. One staff member was nice (the Argentinian guy that worked evenings). Other than that they were pretty bad. Particularly one guy that worked mornings. He said he was an owner too...very disappointing. I lost my locker key and they charged me 20,000 pesos and took over an hour to have someone come open it. Would not recommend going here. I am sure they will have some response to this review. It is always sad to see a hostel argue against a guest in a review...

Good hostel. Staff was helpful and engaging. Internet was a little slow, but I think that is a product of being in the middle of the jungle. They organize great tours of the Amazon. Would definitely stay here again!

Great hostel. Not too much party, but a good atmosphere and located very close to the beach. A quick $2.50 Real ride to downtown. Staff is helpful and attentive. Chill and fun.
Thank you for the review. We are waiting you on high season to enjoy more concerts as the ones we had,

Really great hostel. The owners are young and terrific. The staff is the same. Small private hostel with a great atmosphere and facilities. Good breakfast, good wifi. Easy metro ride to the beaches, and a quick walk to party in Lapa.

This is one of my favorite hostels. They get a lot of things very right here. Quiet hostel with great facilities (roof top covered grill, kitchen and lounge! Good wifi. Predominantly Spanish speaking if that matters.

I feel bad writing this review as there were many employees here I really like. However, it seemed one of the owners may have come in and "whipped the employees into shape". My first night there was a lot of fun, but the atmosphere took a sharp decline from there. The first night many of the employees took us out and had fun. By the end I didn't receive my key deposit back, people were not interacting and I was not allowed to wait for my cab for an hour in the common area at 5am.

Decent hostel. Not terribly priced, but I hear you can stay at Internet Cafes for cheaper. Very clean, good facilities. Staff was fine. Good location. Would stay again, but no loyalty here.

Good spot. Has a pool, restaurant and roof top bar that are all top notch. Price isn't bad. Felt a little corporate though.

Decent place to stay in Yangon. I really liked the cubicle set up for the beds as it provides a little privacy. Can get loud at night though because reception and all the beds are in one room.

Top notch hostel. These guys are pretty new, so they do not have a whole lot of reviews yet. However, they are AMAZING. Owned and operated by a very sweet family who speak English well. Only 20 beds total, so a really warm, quiet atmosphere. Securty is the best I have ever seen - keycard entry to the location, cameras, locking dorms and lockers. Great A/C everywhere, strong WIFI, microwave and fridge and helpful staff. Clean, new, secure with a good vibe. Can't be beat!
Thank you so much George. ^_^ for the good review. And we are also happy to have chance to meet you.

Decent place to chill. Good facilities (WIFI, AC, pool, restaurant, etc...), but no good common area, kind of out of the way, expensive. Definitely a resort with some dorm rooms instead of a proper hostel.

Not really a hostel, but a really great chill hotel on the cheap. Everything was great here except for the wifi...it wasn't bad, just inconsistent. And after traveling in Asia for a month it seems like that is just kind of the way things are here. Bottom line, if you are looking for a nice, inexpensive spot near good surfing this is it.

After traveling Australia for 2.5 months I can confidently say this is the best hostel I have in which I have stayed in Australia. Most hostels have a corporate feel, and very strict rules. They do not trust their guests and their "culture" is very artificial. Not the case with Tropic Days. Young, friendly staff keep the atmosphere positive and chill...like I am used to from Eastern Europe and Central America. Great job guys!

Eh, it is a hostel in Australia. It's pricey and not super clean, but the people are friendly enough. At no point did I think the staff was bad, but I was just never sure what their particular influence was.

This place is awesome. I highly suggest traveling within the Israel hostel network as they give you discounts and are really great places. Though not in the very best location it only takes about 10-15 minutes to walk to tons of stuff. The owner, Omer, also knows of something cool to do any time of week! Oh, and the rooftop is probably the best place in the world to chill.
Cheers man, you were one of those guests holding the space when its not holiday weather outside. Thanks for giving a hand with the rooftop tent. its perfect. See you on the road.

Nothing short of epic. My bunk mate stole a bunch of my gear in spite of numerous cameras. The staff sent his information around to other Hostels in Israel. He turned up in Tel Aviv at Overstay Hostel (also amazing), and I booked a shuttle immediately to get him. When I arrived, the staff at Overstay coordinated with Abraham staff and I recovered nearly all my stuff! Totally unheard of. On top of all that they refunded my stay as an apology!!! Great facilities location too!
Hi, Thank you very much for your warm review! We are glad you've left your valuables in our lockers, so the stuff taken weren't too precious. It makes us as happy as you are to know that "ILH - israel hostels" network works fine, and takes care of backpackers all over the country! Hope to see you here again soon :) Gil Volfson Guest Relations

Hostel was fine. You had to pay extra for a locker which is unusual in my experience. Also, the atmosphere was lacking a little bit, but that may be because of the current tensions in the Middle East are keeping tourist away.

Great spot. Could use a little cleaning and updating, but the atmosphere couldn't be beaten and the staff is great. Very bohemian. Lots of traveling musicians and good hippies. Really did have an excellent vibe. Of the 3 hostels I stayed in Istanbul this was my favorite. Next time I am in Istanbul I will be staying here. Internet was spotty and the kitchen was small.
Thanks buddy =) glad you liked it. We like hippies... as long as there not too smelly haha, at least 1 shower a week ;) it was a great few weeks with the rainbow community crashing here. great people and good times make for the best memories. İm building a new kitchen so hopefully it will be more functional. As for the internet.... all i can say is its turkey, next time you come ill pıck you up from the airport on my camel haha

Great hostel. There was a mix up in the pricing and the staff worked with me to make sure we both walked away happy. I do wish they had a kitchen, but I think that is the only thing I would change.

Good hostel. Friendly, helpful staff. Went in off season, and the biggest group of people we saw at night was in the common area in the hostel. Not much of an atmosphere though. Honestly think that had more to do with the fact it was off season than the hostel though. Showers were not the best.

Fantastic hostel, amazing/friendly staff, perfect common area. If I had a complaint (and that would be a stretch) I would want a little more consistent internet. Definitely in my top 5 hostels I have ever stayed in.

Decent hostel, but there was not much of an atmosphere. Most of the staff were great, but there were a couple that were slightly abrasive and didn't seem to fit. This is probably a large contributor to the lack of atmosphere.
I was hoping you would answer my email so I can look into what exactly was the problem but I never got a reply. We now have all new staff members except one very nice Australian staff member.

There are party hostels and then there is this place. Truly aggressive drinking every night. I was the only one in my dorm to not puke in the 4 nights I stayed here. Dinner is good.

Good spot! Everything was fine, but it would be nice to have a common area that is not also a bar/restaurant for everyone. Also, the internet was terrible. I got no internet in my room, and only was able to connect about 50% of the time in the common areas. Additionally, you are not allowed to have your own alcohol which can get expensive quick.
Thank you for your feedback. You have to admit that if there's 80 people using network it won't work 100% fast. We state on out website that wifi is only available in common areas. Also it's not a surprise that you are NOT allowed to drink your own beverage in a bar\restaurant unless you know one.

Friendly, attractive staff, and everything was pretty good. However, the smoking room leaks into the main common area so it smells like smoke, and the wifi is not the greatest (never was able to get my computer connected)

Such a great place! This will be my highest rating to date! The staff was in the middle of changing over when I stayed there, and can confidently say both the incoming and outgoing staff are wonderful. By far and away the best thing about this place is the atmosphere the staff and layout create. Yes, it is a party hostel, but if you stay a few days everyone will become family as well. LOVE THIS PLACE. Also, Monk's Bunk has the best wifi I have seen in a hostel.

Just "eh". A couple of staff members were very helpful and were able to book me for longer and helped me find the right bus. The facilities were typical of the larger dorms, and there were children (read 12 to 17 years old running around).

Jelena is hands down the sweetest person I have met on my trip so far. She is overly accommodating and will bend over backwards to make sure you are happy and well informed. When we showed up the app only booked 1 person (there were 2 of us). She said no problem and figured out a way to get us both in for the night! Such an absolute sweetheart, and very knowledgeable about her city. Go to Zagreb if only to see what a wonderful person Jelena is!
