Good location and staff were nice. Unable to organise any tours due to no one being around to split the cost with, for instance quoted us 1000 yuan for 2 people for a day trip to the Tengger Desert. The hostel is soooo cold, they dont turn the heating on, thank god the aircon in our room warmed it up a bit after we left it on for ages. The bathrooms are unbelieveably dirty. Good price though (98 yuan for private double) and not many options in Zhongwei for foreigners.

The surrounding area is great with good local food and FANTASTIC okonomiyaki nearby, also super convenient transport links for both the airport express and osaka station. Staff very cheerful. Beds comfy. Shared bathrooms are fine especially if you dont wait until right before checkout to shower. Good deal.

Ok location right on the main street. Reception is in a different building down the road. We stayed in a double with shared bathroom, for the floor we were on (our room and a 4 bed dorm room) there was only one toilet. Just little issues like had to ask for towels, wifi never worked, really noisy from the traffic. To be honest Dulan is completely overhyped and was the lamest place we visited in our month-long Taiwan trip. It is full of older hippy-type foreign men, I woukd say avoid the town!

Lovely helpful staff and great advice about hiking the Tiger Leaping Gorge. Nice place and on a good street with delicious dumplings nearby. There is a karaoke place across the road but they stop making noise at 11pm or midnight so its totally fine. Really recommend staying here!

Really nice staff, especially the guy who makes the coffees in the restaurant. Nice rooms, only negative is that the bathroom smells sooooo bad, I think the smell comes back up the drain. Had to keep bathroom door shut all the time and hold your breath whenever you used the bathroom. Good location in Dali, easy walk from the bus. Nice vibe to the place.

Nice and the garden and cafe is cute but overpriced and kind of lacking in atmosphere. Everyone sat around the hostel common area staring at their phones, not much camaraderie or talking etc. The rooms are nice but sound really travels, you can hear people walking up and down the corridor extremely clearly and the bathrooms have a clear door so your roommate can see you having a poop. (we sellotaped up a sarong to fix this problem). Good food nearby and interesting area.

This place is fantastic The common area is the best we have seen in 3 months in China, with a nice atmosphere, foosball table, postcards for sale (and they will sell you stamps and post them as well) and coffee/breakfast/wifi etc. The staff is also really helpful with offering to check your train, tell you what to see and how to work out travel to Longji Terraces or further abroad. It is an easy walk from the main bus station or train station. Rooms are fine, normal chinese hotel type.
