Nice staff, very clean. Good powerful showers. Modern style beds with charger and light. Location couldn't have been better next to lots of bars and restaurants. All the trams stop nearby too. Good big lockers that are provided with a key and therefore no padlock needed. Towels included. Warm rooms and slept well on both of my nights.

The 6 person dorm i stayed in was very big with lots of space. Even though there was only one bathroom for the dorm it was always immaculately clean and I never had to queue to use it. I went to the bar on the first night and it was very busy and happy hour was on. Good facilities and lounge area. Pretty central location too.

I got moved to the 4 bed dorm instead of the 8 bed one due to a mix up. There was one lady on reception doing all the work and was very busy with no help. This made the place a bit chaotic. Had no problems here, very close to station and shops.

Friendly guy on checkin. Very solid metal bunk bed that doesn't move or make a noise. Slept very well which is unusual for me.

Fine place with staff that are friendly and informative. Big lockers in the room. Close to the station and Metro. Easy to get everywhere. Had good room mates that helps. A famous pizza joint around the corner. Breakfast is included but I didn't have any due to getting up too late. Would recommend.

I stayed in the dorm room and was pleased. Very nice staff and location was good close to Altona station. Plenty of shops and restaurants near by. Communal Kitchen was handy. Beer for sale by the reception for reasonable prices.
Dear Guest, thank you for your feedback. We're glad you enjoyed your stay and hope to welcome you again soon. Greetings from Hamburg, your MEININGER-Team

The 12 person from dorm i stayed in was very impressive. They also had a good key/locker system. The key is a rubber bracket worn around the wrist. Played chilled music in bathrooms and lounge. Location and staff were great too.

Check in guy very informative and friendly. On same street as the strip and a short bus journey away. Get the 24 hour pass for $8.

Really nice place. On a quiet street but central. Big lounge room with TV and also with a lot of books and magazines. Kitchen was always clean and there is a big balcony that has fabulous views of Braga. Helena is always willing to offer tips about Braga and was very cheerful.

Nice hostel, everything new and clean. Handy having the elevators from the baixa to the hostel's street. Staff nice. Hostel is central but in a quiet area away from all the weirdos that loiter around Rossio and Bairro Alto.

Good location, about 10 minutes walk from the old town. Supermarket across from the hostel and plenty of cafes and bars on the street. Staff were very nice and helpful especially the lady who checked me in. Lots of showers, one of them had a very powerful jet of water. Big kitchen with plenty of benches and space, also had a nice lounge adjoining the kitchen. A small negative was that closing the dorm door involved slamming it very loudly, waking most people up. Overall a very nice place to stay.
Thanks for the review!! We're really glad you liked the hostel. We'll put some oil to the room doors so they can close smoothly =). See you soon!

I liked the building with an old fashioned feel. Wooden floors, portrait pictures on the walls etc. Everything was clean, towels provided. Very helpful staff. Good location too, on a quiet street in the centre of town.

It was very quiet when I stayed and weren't many people staying here. Toilets could have been cleaner but the dorm I stayed in was very nice and the bed was comfortable. The male receptionist not particularly cheerful.

Everything good here. Dorms were big and clean with big lockers. Good facilities and nice receptionists. Was lacking in atmosphere when I was there but I may just have been unlucky and been there during a quiet spell.
Thanks a lot for your feedback! We are appreciate it! We are glad to meet you at our hostel again, hope you will have more fun next time!=)

Very cheerful receptionist lady who checked me in. Good location very near shops, bars etc. Very secure with big lockers under the beds. Slept very well all the nights I was there. Chilled atmosphere, music played in the shower areas through loud speakers which was cool.

Good location in the old town. The dorm I was in was good and had a nice en suite. Unfortunately the room was used as a corridor to the adjoining room by all sorts of people. They were very inconsiderate and loud. Dark haired receptionist who checked me in was highly miserable, perhaps she was having a bad day. Communal kitchen was inhabited by permanent Romanian residents in the evening. Sterile atmosphere throughout the place.

Location of this hostel couldn't be better and the rooftop has an amazing view. Staff were very cool and the place was always thoroughly cleaned. They have lockers for €1 per day and were big enough to fit my luggage. There is a fridge there too which is handy.

Very close to the beach. Nicer than the more famous beach around the coast. Getting to the town centre took about 15/20 mins by walking up some fairly steep stairs. I had a private room that had a balcony and on suite. Room had a fridge, sink, plates and cutlery. There was a supermarket and restaurants by the port around the corner. Staff were very nice and friendly. Room cleaned everyday and provided new towels too. I was there in the off season and therefore everywhere was very quiet.

I stayed in the six dorm bed for three nights which was fine. Even though there was only one bathroom/toilet on each floor, it was always available and clean. Close to the Metro stop and the walk to the main station takes around 15 minutes. There is an outside area at the back of the hostel with benches and chairs where people met up in the evenings. I only dealt with the young receptionist guy and he was always polite and friendly.

Enjoyed staying here. Very close to the main station. Room always clean and good beds and nice roof terrace. Thought the bar was expensive. Could buy a beer for a 1/3 of the bar price if you walk to the shop around the corner.

Couldn't beat the location with lots of bars and shops on the doorstep. Good facilities and the staff were excellent. Free usage of a PC and printer on the rooftop communal area. Used it to print off my flight boarding card.

The best hostel that I have stayed in. Huge bathroom with lots of showers and toilets, which is a rare thing. Big locker under beds for safe storage. Nice converted building in a good location. Nice communal area.

Had a pleasant stay here. I booked online and in error booked Friday night instead of Saturday. When I turned up on Saturday the guy on the reception told me it was ok and didn't charge me any extra. Good location and showers were clean.
