Nice central location for Wimbledon. Lockers, bfast & wifi are good. No booze allowed and no bar so not exactly the most fun place. One of those hostels that houses a lot of shifty long term residents. Nice enough place though

Better than average. Journeys bunk beds are horrible. Free breakfast is always appreciated. Good wifi. Short walk to North Laine and the beach

Friend's Hostel

Good place to stay if you don't mind roughing it for a night or two. Kitchen is small and disgusting. There is a reason it is cheaper than most in Paris, but it is serviceable. No lockers/security whatsoever so strap your belongings to yourself if you stay here. Having to pay for wifi in the evening is bogus. Opposite a metro stop is a bonus.

£8 on weekdays is great value, free wifi and lockers is good stuff. The Polish girl who works there is beautiful. It was pretty cool as an athiest to wake up in a church every morning. Pool table, big kitchen, common room. Cool old-school hostel

In this day and age, bit mean to charge for wifi. The breakfast is ridiculously expensive. Only 2 lockers inside my 8 bed dorm, if you miss out you have to pay outside the room £3 a day to use a locker! Really cool building inside, like a mansion, ensuite is handy.

Mainly filled with uni students, not so good for meeting travellers. No staff on site. Kitchen was big and clean, but quite light on cooking equipment. Bathrooms are great. Lockers in room were good. Bed uncomfortable. Nice courtyard out back. TV in room is a strange feature. In a nice quiet neighbourhood not too far from the tube.

Great courtyard. Staff very helpful. Little bit out of city centre but it's a nice walk and close to subway. Breakfast was ordinary. Good sized locker in room, wifi is great downstairs, not so in room. For €13 a pretty good place to stay

Only 1 night here, but enjoyed it. Staff and location are great, quite social and a good party hostel. Common room is a bit small, kitchen is also a bit small, hard to move at breakfast time! Excellent bathrooms. Would stay again

Not a hostel, just a guy who rents out his flat and puts bunk beds in some rooms. Be aware that there is no reception so you have to find a pay phone to call to check in and to check out. I could not be bothered spending money to ring him to hand my keys back, so i lost my €5 key deposit. Kitchen is tiny and grosse. No wifi. Bathroom/toilets are ok. Location is fantastic. Elevator is a death trap! Quite a cheap place to stay, but be warned that you get what you pay for.

Showers are terrrrrrrrible. No water pressure and only stay on for 10 seconds then you have to keep pushing a button. Nowhere to put your clothes. Wifi is really good. The whole hostel is very small, kitchen cramped. If you have a room upstars it is a pain in the arse to keep having to walk down three flights of stairs to get to the lockers, none in the room. Powerpoint and light next to the bed is good. Bunks very small

Great spot in Hanoi, right next to Bia Hoi corner! Room was very nice for the price, bathroom like that of a 4 star hotel. Have free computers, but wifi would be nice. Free pool table!

Staff were so friendly and helpful, particuarly when we arrived at 5.30am and woke the dude up to let us in. Room was available so he let us check in super early! Really welcoming vibe here, recommend it. Only bad thing is the room was a bit damp, bathroom a bit grosse.

Phuoc An Hotel

Fantastic location, in a quite street right next to some good cafes and bia hoi bars! Bar 20 metres down street has beer for 15 cents a glass. Despite being quiet, only a very short walk to main part of town (which is quite small anyway). Free breakfast included with our twin room was great, we arrived very early in the morning after a sketchy overnight bus ride and were over the moon that the staff let us check into our room early. My only criticism is the staff were a bit pushy selling tours

The Mad Monkey

Phnom Penh, Cambodia
74%

Welcoming, clean hostel with friendly staff. Only stay here if you want to have a comfortable western feel to your hostel. Quite expensive by Cambodian standards, can easily get a private room elsewhere for the price of their dorm. Food and drinks are criminally expensive compared to elsewhere in Phnom Penh. Charming staff made it a good stay though. Location is in a quiet (relatively speaking!) spot, a bit away from the main clubbing/debauchery area
