The only thing that this place lacks is atmosphere. The barman and owner could do a bit more to get the party going- everything else was great. Spotless with great facilities- just not as fun as the other hostels we stayed in in Floripa.

Great Hostel- Felt incredibly welcome when we first arrived, great atmosphere and great meals! This definitely makes up for the lack of kitchen as well.

This a great location and a great base for exploring Palermo. There's a great atmosphere but the volunteer staff there at the time were extremely unprofessional and made us feel uncomfortable- which is a shame because the owners are lovely. Small kitchen but nice rooftop bar.

Kitchen is badly equipped- they are encouraging you to order from the bar really! There's no atmosphere here- we've been in way better party hostels that have better parties- this is just a bad nightclub with bedrooms! Bar staff can be rude and the bar is just full of people on their phones as its the only place with wifi- definitely wouldn't stay here again!

Great value for money and great atmosphere! The only thing is the bunk beds are sooo wobbly so didn't get great night sleep. Definitely a better option than Milhouse though! Good well equipped kitchen- staff have great info on the town and owner gets the party going in the bar!

This hostel is just below average on pretty everything. The kitchen is awful, staff are slow to serve you and it totally lacks any atmosphere- only slightly better than it's cheaper sister hostel in Calafate.

We loved this hostel!! Christian the owner keeps the place absolutely spotless and is a gent of a man! We were here for New Years where we had a group dinner and Christian gave us a bottle of wine to share- we didn't want to leave this hostel, there's a great atmoshere- couldn't recommend enough!

This is an AWFUL hostel- kitchen is tiny, no equipment and FILTHY. Staff are rude, no introduction and they don't tell anyone that you have to pay a deposit on the cutlery. Room is prison-like, they play rave music in the morning...we could go on why we hated this hostel! Stay in any other one to enjoy El Calafate!!

This is an absolute GEM of a hostel! Well worth being out of the town to stay in such a lovely place- staff are excellent and everything else was amazing! Great breakfast, free yoga, lovely beds, would definitely recommend :)

be sure to stay two nights and avail of the other trips. we only stayed one and did the sand boarding but stay two and you can do a flight over the nazca lines. the guides on the sand bordering were really shit, didn't give any advise and were very inpatient. we still enjoyed it all the same

Great location in the old town with a fantastic view from the bar upstairs. The in house travel agency is very handy if you are looking for info on things to do or organising trips. Biggest draw back was there was no kitchen which means you have to either order off the menu or eat out. There is no fridges (or at least we didn't see or were told there was any to use) so you can't store your own food. They do provide breakfast and dinner which is cheap enough.

Only stayed one night to break up the journey from Salento to Quito. Staff recommended we take the night bus from Cali to Ipiales which is still being reported as being an unsafe journey at night which was a bit off putting. There is lots of places around to eat and eat cheaply as well. The in house salsa school seems to be very popular but we weren't able to use it but a lot of people in our dorm were.

Had the best kitchen we have seen so far. The frying pans had a non stick coating, there was spatulas with handles and even sharp knifes. The location is great, only 15 minutes walk from the main drinking area of Medellin. The tv room is amazing to just chill out when you need a night off from partying.

The hostel has a great location inside the walled city. This is a great spot to go wander but is not a good spot on a budget. It is very touristy and the prices and restaurants are very high end and so are the prices. The kitchen is poorly equipped and very small which is a shame considering is so expensive to eat out locally. However the atmosphere and the bar is great and real easy to meet and chat to people. All the good bars are within walking distance also.

Probably the worst hostel we stayed in. No real atmosphere in the place. The staff take up most of the kitchen during the day cooking their own food. The kitchen itself is the worst equipped one we have seen yet. None of the pots or pans had handles and very little utensils. The staff gave us three different stories when we asked about the mud volcano and were very short and not very helpful. Wouldn't recommend it unless you were totally stuck.

We originally planned to stay for 3 nights but ended up staying for a week. We absolutely loved this hostel. The staff were amazing and incredibly friendly it was definitely the best service we have gotten so far. The rooms are nice with a locker for each bed which fits a full 70litre pack, the showers are ice cold with not heads on them so its more like a hose the its so hot it doesn't matter. The pool and bar area are great for setting the amazing friendly atmosphere in the place!

The hostel is in the perfect location in the main square. It is fitted with two kitchens, one on each floor, the biggest being on the top floor. It has the usual type of pots and pans you would except from most hostels, all the frying pans are silver with no sign of the non stick coating type thing, but its not an issue really. There is a good atmosphere in the evening with most people hanging out in the reception/bar/terrace area having a few beers. Strongly recommend it!!

Casa Bellavista is in a great location in the La Candaleria district of Bogota. One thing to know is that it is down a narrow lane that cars can't drive through. It is a family run hostel. Only the daughter (I can't remember her name) has a good bit of english, the rest only have a little. The hostel itself is clean and quiet, its not a party hostel. It is very colonial and the walls are not meant to be soundproof and they are not by any means so bring ear plugs.
