All round it’s okay and the staff are excellent, attentive and hardworking HOWEVER in a bid to minimise costs (and maximise their profit) the owner has not employed enough staff to cover the 24 hour reception meaning I almost missed a flight because the employees were on their break when I came to collect my luggage. This is in no way the fault of the employees who deserve their break, the owner has to stop being greedy and employ enough staff to give the hard workers time to take a rest/eat.

The location is very central (in the Médina) and a short walk from the ferries to spain or a cheap taxi from the bus station. The staff were very friendly and they put on a nice breakfast with olives, bread, jam, coffee and a local fried bread the name I’ve forgotten. The rooftop was also a nice place to hang out and there’s a decent view of the harbour. Showers and toilets were clean enough and the hot water was great. Staff are friendly, informative and laid back. I would definitely recommend

Nice little hostel with beautiful rooftop and kind staff. It’s centrally located and a 25 minutes walk (mostly uphill) from the bus station. It was basically just a lodging in a nice old house with friendly staff but not much going on otherwise. Owing to its traditional setup the bathrooms were a little awkward and cramped but the water was reliably hot.

Beautiful traditional building with modern facilities and friendly staff. The rooms and bathrooms were very clean and high quality with air conditioning and great hot water. The internet was quite slow in the rooms but tolerable in the courtyard downstairs. The breakfast was really generous and of a high standard as were the meals we bought in the restaurant downstairs for dinner. I would definitely recommend this hostel

Great place I stayed for over a week. It’s more like a sharehouse than a hostel and was very comfortable. We would use the great kitchen, go for swims and drink long into the night. I can rate this as one of the better hostel experiences I’ve had. Bathrooms were sufficient, good wifi and beds.

Nice enough hostel but the owner/main staff member was quite rude and we didn’t really like hanging around. I stayed elsewhere in the town and preferred it there. This place did have a good kitchen though and was relatively close to the main area of town but still further than other popular hostels.

Great hostel right across from the main bus station (there is another bus station for smaller collectivo services within 10 minute walk).it was a nice building, very warm and spacious with plenty of common space and a big kitchen. The staff were also very kind. The hot water and wifi were both excellent. Good breakfast too. Later in the trip they were booked out so we stayed elsewhere and it wasn’t nearly as good

Very relaxed hostel in a beautiful old house. The staff were nice and put on a great breakfast. The kitchen was also well equipped and good for solo cooking. Place was clean and the beds were comfortable. Wifi was good and hot water was great. Location was decent, pretty close to the main areas and a supermarket

Really nice hostel with good common areas and atmosphere. We enjoyed the rooftop with drinks and music as well as the laid back vibe of the hostel. Plus it is very central and easy to find. Wifi was good as was hot water and beds were very comfortable. Everything was very clean despite the dust of the desert and they were happy to help with any questions about tours and the like

Famous party hostel a little bit tacky but fairly harmless. It wasn’t really my thing and prefer to be off the gringo trail but the facilities and bar were nice enough. I think it’s more a matter of preference but there were just a few obnoxious folks who were attracted to the hostel. If you prefer a more quiet hostel to chill out then probably not the place for you. Good wifi, beds and staff though

Stayed here in January 2017 and the experience has stuck with me. It’s just a few beds stuck behind a tour office. At the time the toilet was broken for a few days and it smelt quite strongly of urine. In general it just smelt quite bad and wasn’t clean. I trusted the owner who was there most of the time and he organised a good budget trip for us up the Amazon for a few nights but the sleeping quarters were really something to remember.

The staff really make this place. Shouts out to everyone there that made our stay great. We met heaps of cool people and partied like it was 1999. Really social and chill atmosphere and close to the centre by tram. People we knew from other hostels were envious of our place.

The common area, wifi, showers and staff were all top notch. If you're worried about how far it is from the city centre, don't be. This place is in a great neighbourhood with lots of shops and food around. The walk to the centre is fast and pretty cool anyway. I'll be staying here again for sure. The only drawback was the lack of a kitchen

This hostel had great wifi, clean beds and well designed showers. The common areas are the real highlight though. This place has a massive smoking room (whatever you want to smoke is okay) with big pillows and a great atmosphere. There is also a non smoking area with a pool table and bar. Staff were chill. My friends and I stayed elsewhere in Amsterdam and this was definitely the best place. I would stay here again.
Hi there, Thank you so much for leaving such a nice review! It is great to read you and your friend enjoyed your stay with us. We hope to see both of you soon again! Cheers, The Flying Piggies

Our 4 bed private room was relatively clean albeit small, and poorly lit with crumby wifi. The staff were pretty funny and nice on the rare occasion we interacted with them at the door however there wasn't much of an atmosphere owing to the lack of common areas (aside from the discounted pub downstairs). While our room smelt fine the rest of the hostel had a particular and quite strong smell, not necessarily bad but certainly not good. Good cheap crash pad, excellent location, nothing more.

Hostel was okay and pretty quirky. The rooms were very clean as was the linen and the showers however there wasn't much of an atmosphere at the place and the common area wasn't fantastic.

I had to move rooms twice because of a mistake on the part of a staff member though they did make it up to us in the form of a significant discount and free drinks. We then had food thrown away from the kitchen and the wifi is only free in the lobby where're they use a strange voucher system. Overall this place was okay but definite,y not the best of the 3 or so hostels we stayed in during our stay in Berlin.

The kitchen was very unclean and the showers were quite dirty for the few days I was there. The staff were friendly enough and the common area was okay however there wasn't much of an atmosphere

Facilities were excellent especially the kitchen and rooftop. I made a few good friends here and the Mexican food night was awesome. I can't fault anything really

Breakfast was a bit so so apart from the awesome coffee. I met cool people here though it seemed relatively quiet and bit removed from the main area ( though quite close by tram). Main fault was that we weren't able to leave our bags there for the 12 or so hours between checkout and our flight meaning we had to lug heavy backpacks around Milan for many hours.

Staff kept barging into our room during lockout even though our friend was sick, we had a private room and told them cleaning was not necessary (we'd been there one night). Breakfast was also very basic. Location was excellent though I can't fault that we were in the middle of everything and the view from our window was awesome.

I can't rave about this place enough, it was definitely the highlight of Italy for us. The location is awesome, so close to sienna yet within a half hour bike ride of tiny Tuscan villages with awesome food and authentic vibes. The staff were obviously a family committed to providing top notch service. This place could definitely afford to charge more for the pool, views and huge rooms. Until my dying days I'll remember san rooco and our great room.

Luca and delfina provided us with great recommendations, general info and a warm place to stay which was very close to the attractions and public transport. I think the two of them could afford to charge more for what was a great experience. I can't speak highly enough of their hospitality.
