A truly unique experience! The whole setting is like something out of a story and absolutely loved waking up to that view. There are regular buses to Barichara but the hike there is something special. Justin and Andrea are amazing hosts and thir kitchen is the cherry on top. Would absolutely stay here again!

So glad you had a nice time. There are lots of hikes, long and short, you can do from the hostel. You'll pass lots of coffee forest, mandarin orchards, pineapple fields and glorious views. A dream!

I originally booked two nights here but I fell in love with CK and stayed here another 2. The staff is generally helpful, the kitchen is standard, wifi is decent and the its pretty easy to meet people in your room. I would stay here again when I make my way back!

This hostel is decent. The rooms are standard bunk bed and you have the option to have just fan or A/C. At 150 baht a night for a room with A/C I can't complain. The wifi here is decent inside but doesn't work outside in the social area. The social area is actually really cool, it has tables, little bungalow areas and hammocks all on the river. The place was kind of dead when I was there. The bathrooms are clean and not any better or worse than most in Thailand. I would stay again.

This hostel is the best hostel I have stayed in while in Bangkok. It is clean, very close to a skytrain stop (basically right under the exit), near central world mall and some local street vendors. About a 70 baht taxi ride to khao san if you are interested in that place. Otherwise, the rooms have aircon and decent beds. I would stay again.

I really like this hostel, it is in a great location and it is very easy to meet people. The bedrooms are clean but the bathrooms not so much. They have geckos that like to run around but I have seen worse. The shower was good. Breakfast comes with coffee, toast and fruit. If I make it back to Penang I will be staying here again.

6th May 2016

I love Dorms KL. I originally stayed for 3 nights but extended another 2 nights and I will be going back there in a few days before heading out to Thailand. Bedrooms were clean, bathrooms were plentiful, free breakfast from the restaurant next door, easy to get to from KLIA, close to multiple metro stations and the staff is amazing. I had a great time here and I can not wait to return.

I love this little hostel, I was greeted by a friendly man. He even took my picture for the wall, which has pictures of other travelers that stayed there haha. Each room has its own bathroom and amazing A/C. I was only there to break up traveling the islands on my way to the airport, so I can't speak for the location. The only downside was that it seemed so empty. I shared a room with one other person and did not see a single other soul there. Too bad, it is a great place.

Lemonade Boutique Inn, Koh Lanta, Thailand
10.0
27th Apr 2016

I love Koh Lanta and I love lemonade. It is very close to the beach and you are greeted with cookies and lemonade, after a long boat ride from Phuket this really made me feel welcomed. The bathrooms are clean and so are the bedrooms, you have a drape around your bed which is good for sleeping but can lead to an anti-social environment. The front desk was extremely helpful with booking fun activities around the island. You can rent a motorbike for 150 baht, I would suggest doing so. Thumbs up!

This review is a little late, I have been on the move for a while but finally have the time to write something about this awesome hostel. Okay first of all it is the cleanest place I have stayed in while I was in Bangkok. The rooms have amazing A/C that gets turned off for a few hours in the early morning. The beds have their own power outlets and lights so you do not need to search for one. The bathroom is clean. The staff was very helpful and there is an airport shuttle. I would stay again.

Home Hug Hostel, Bangkok, Thailand

17th Apr 2016

Okay, this place isnt horrible. There is air con in the rooms, it shuts off for 3 hours in the early afternoon. The bed itself seemed clean but with that being said the staff does not change the sheets after someone leaves. Power outlet near each of the beds. Wifi here was okay, sometimes it disconnects. The bathroom situation is not the greatest, but that seems normal in Thailand. The plumbing is bad, the kitchen flooded with brown water my last day there. I pray it was just dirt. Price is good

I don't know if I am picky or just have a certain standard that I need to meet. Normally I do not give hostels this high of a rating but La Posada de Huertas really surprised me. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were clean. The staff cleaned the kitchen, bedrooms and bathrooms daily. When I mean clean, they mopped and scrubbed everything. I have been in many hostels where you weren't even sure if the room had been cleaned this year. The only issue I had was the wifi, spotty at best.

Overall I would stay here again, the rooms were the perfect size for the price. The last few hostels I have been staying in have been 22 - 36 people in a cramped room. This was only 8. Rooms were cleaned daily around 12pm. Bathrooms were spread throughout the hostel and I never struggled to find one or have to wait. Staff was pretty chill, I stuck to myself mainly, I have been traveling and parting for 2 months, needed some alone time but the place would be great to meet people in. Thumbs up!

Trendy Hostel, Paris, France
8.3
30th Mar 2016

There are wooden crates with locks under the bed, its big enough for your bag and a little more. Its secure as long as someone doesn't have an axe with them. It was cheap considering this is Paris. Staff was the best part, very welcoming and probably some of the best hostel staff I have encountered. I stayed in a 22(?) or maybe more dorm room. It was comfy and I had two outlets to myself on the top bunk. Wifi was okay, dropped randomly. 1 bathroom for all 22 of us. Location was okay, near metro.

Avalon House, Dublin, Ireland

29th Mar 2016

I only stayed here for one night because I had to catch a flight the next day and just returned from Galway. I stayed in the Avalon room, nothing special, big room with 24 (I think?) beds. It was like any other large room hostel I stayed at. The showers were okay, it was 4 showers, 4 toilets in a dorm style setup. Water seemed to fill the floor up when people took showers. It was cheap and it came with free breakfast, I probably wouldn't stay here if I was looking to site see in Dublin.

Sleepzone, Galway, Ireland

26th Mar 2016

The staff at Sleepzone were very helpful and made the stay very easy. There were tours to the Cliffs of Moher and Connemara for 20 euros. The breakfast was extremely simple compared to most hostels. It included coffee, milk and toast plus condiments for the toast. Still it was free so I can not complain. The room I stayed in had its own private bathroom for the just the people in that room, that was a huge plus for me. It was clean and well located. If I return to Galway I will stay here again.

Abbey Court, Dublin, Ireland

23rd Mar 2016

This Hostel is cheap and centrally located. It is fairly easy to get to Temple Bar and Dublin Castle. The security was okay, there are under the bed cage lockers, someone stole my lock, I suppose that's my fault because I accidentally left the key on the bed. Surprisingly nothing inside the lockers were stolen. The shower situation is okay, the door got stuck several times. One girl even broke the door trying to get out when it happened to her. The place is a maze, difficult to find the room.

View Property Reply

Hey! Thanks for the review. The front door is locked permanently and guests can only enter with a key. We monitor who enters very closely and have very high standard security cameras all over the hostel. We also have guarded luggage storage at reception. We are very big and do have a maze like quality some might say, but we have made sure to sign post all areas of the hostel so guests can find their way easily. Many thanks :) Yvonne

Travel Joy Hostels Chelsea, London, England

20th Mar 2016

Compared to most hostels in London, this place is very reasonably priced. The breakfast is amazing and the best I have ever had at a Hostel, not to mention it is free! The bathrooms get very dirty in the morning, there are too many people in and out, not the staff fault but I definitely would not want to touch the ground with my feet. It's close to pimlico station which can get you connected to any place in the city via the Victoria line. The rooms were small I but good enough for sleeping.

Thank you very much for taking the time to leave us a feedback of your stay with us. We are delighted to know you could take advantage of our prime location to visit the sights and move around London. Moreover, we are very happy to hear you found our free breakfast worth mentioning on your review. We are sorry about the cleaning of our bathrooms, we do clean them twice a day but you could have stop by the reception to let us know and we would have clean them again without any problems. Thank you again for your helpful feedback and we hope to see you again!

Okay first off, I want to say I loved this Hostel. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay again. The rooms are cheap and your standard dorm style, with the addition of USB chargers/outlets connected to your bed frame. Two things that were not so great, the atmosphere was tailored more toward groups, it was difficult to meet other solo travelers. The "bad" part was the wifi, it barely worked outside of reception and even then I disconnected every 15min.

Hello Jacob! It is nice to hear that you have enjoyed your stayed with us. Sorry that you were suffering because of our groups! I hope next time you will have more lucky and hostel will be fully with solo travellers:) Don't forget always you can ask of them next to the our ZINCBAR:D And what about wifi we are still working on that! take care, cheers, host - Wika.
