Feel Hostels City Center, Malaga, Spain
9.1
20th Jan 2015

I liked Feel Hostel - breakfast included was nice as was the Sangria and food if needed in the evenings. My only quibble was that it was really quite cold at the time I was there and there is no heating in the rooms. But the staff were really lovely and I enjoyed the walking tour.

The staff were very friendly and helpful and I would recommend the walking tours - I went on the Legends tour late afternoon and it was really interesting. They offered lots of other evening events too - going out and flamenco etc. Rooms spacious, beds comfy and bathrooms clean. Wifi sometimes a bit less than perfect but most of the time good enough. The paella when I fist arrived was delicious! I would definitely recommend this hostel.

The hostel owner is amazing: very friendly, with good English and so enthusiastic and informative about all that Spain and in particular what Toledo has to offer. The room was small for four people but clean and the bunk bed comfortable. The bathrooms are spotless and the Internet good. I liked my three muffins for breakfast and the tea was unlimited!

Revolutum Hostel, Salamanca, Spain

The hostel is ideally placed in the centre of the city. It is clean and the beds are comfortable. The breakfasts are good with lots of fresh bread, fruit and cheese, with coffee and tea available. It is possible to use a kitchen area which is well equipped. My only grumble would be that in the dorm room that I was using, there were no sockets within the room for recharging phones etc. only two sockets in the bathroom area that actually worked which was a bit inconvenient.

This is a nice place but does not have a 'hostel' environment. It was warm despite freezing conditions outside, comfortable bunk beds, clean throughout and well located. The kitchen/eating area was large and equipped minimally with utensils but good enough.

Azabache Hostel, Santiago de Compostela, Spain

The hostel is right in the middle of Santiago near the cathedral which is especially atmospheric in the evening when the whole city comes to life. It is well run with good security getting into the building from the street, and as it was very cold outside when I was there, it was lovely to find that the rooms were warm on arrival. The bathrooms are small but very clean. The beds are comfortable.

Lost Inn Lisbon, Lisbon, Portugal
10.0
22nd Dec 2014

We stayed at Lost Inn at Lisbon over Christmas and had a wonderful time. Most restaurants and shops were shut but the staff prepared a special Christmas Eve meal which was great - traditional home made 'Bacalhau' and Portuguese cakes and wine. This was in addition to their normal Sangria at 8pm and walking tour of the area every morning. The hostel is within a lovely old building, clean and comfortable and with a good breakfast included. It was excellent.

Hostel of the Sun, Naples, Italy

One of the best hostels ever! The staff were so friendly and helpful. I arrived needing to find a cycle shop for spare parts for my bike - everyone so kind phoning for me and helping me to sort out the problem. I went to stay with a friend on the Amalfi coast - again, very helpful regarding leaving my stuff with them. There is a lovely atmosphere, the breakfasts are good and the rooms are clean and comfortable.
