Cambridge is very short of hostels, and this is one of the very few. While the location is far from the city centre, I liked it as I needed to be at the train station at 0430 and the hostel is very near to the station. Very safe for ladies - to get in there are three doors to tap through.
Thank you for your review. I'm delighted that you felt safe and comfortable- this is so important to us and hopefully it is reflected in the safe and friendly environment we have here. I hope you had a great stay! Best regards, James- Hostel Manager

the heater in my room spoilt, but luckily the weather was not too cold recently. out of three showers, two.could.not be locked. in addition, there are too few charging ports in the room, and each person does not have a light so one has to use their phone for lights.

super good! it was apartment like, the rooms were huge and extremely clean and cosy, there was a homely feeling, free laundry, usage of computers etc

was a little too far from brussels zuid train station: not easy to get there and I lost my way. not all beds have a charging port either, so it's tricky.if everyone wants to.charge their phone at the same time. also no lockers in room!

Good host, hairdryer provided, free day lockers, cooking facilities too! It is expensive, but after all it is Switzerland

I lost my wallet and only discovered it at the hotel, luckily the lady understood and let me head to my room first while waiting for my friend to come, which was good. After we checked out, we could store our luggage there, which was nice. only downside is that there is no lockers in the room.

The hostel is hard to find, check in is at hotel iris not at the backpackers. We were given a room at the hotel, nice and big,The heater in my room broke down, so it was inconvenient indeed. Later on the staff offered to let us switch rooms, however we declined the offer as it was too troublesome. But we did ask for an extra blanket, and that was given. The lights along the corridor went off too at 10pm at night, so it was super dark, you definitely need a flashlight to make it down the stairs.

I accidentally booked the wrong date on hostelworld so I emailed the hostel about the mistake and luckily, they were accomodating and allowed me to change it with minimal fuss! my ten bed hostel room had an ensuite bathroom, which is much more convenient and way bigger than the other showers!

fantastic, staff was friendly and pleasant. The rooms were clean, each bed had a curtain for privacy and a locker below it. However, my friend who was on the top bunk found it difficult to climb up to her bed as the third runk was at the ledge of bed and she couldn't put her feet on it. but apart from that, it's fine!

the rooms are really clean, nice and big, and there's even a table for you to do whatever you want there, as well as a sink in the room. The walls are pretty thin though, you can hear people speaking outside. Breakfast is provided as well, which is definitely a plus! The hostel is at the bottom of the hill, so if you have luggage and am going by bus, it might be a bit troublesome. But overall, good value for money.

The hostel, as promised is really a no-frills hotel. The hostel is really a stone throw away from Musee Du Louvre, which is really good. Check in took really long though, nearly an hour as the poor receptionist had to juggle checking us in and answering the phone at the same time We were given an 8 person bedroom. The room was clean, but one negative point is that there are only 2 charging ports, and one of them did not work so the 5 of us had to share one. The shower was slightly choked though
VERY GOOD LOCATION + CLEAN ROOMS... THANK YOU ! P.S. : Next time, for a 5 stars Palace service, you should find an other place... check-in can take time sometimes !

We booked a ten bed mixed dorm but were lucky to be upgraded to a private 2 person room. It's at the top floor though, and there's no light at the landing apart from the emergency exit sign so just be careful! Toilets and showers are a floor below so we need to climb down everytime we want need to use the toilets. Although the toilet and showers are small, they are clean, and so is the room. The upper bunk has no barrier to prevent you from falling off and no ladder, so just be careful!
