America del Sur Hostel Buenos Aires, Buenos Aires, Argentina
8.3
14th Dec 2019

I had a fabulous time at America Del Sur. The rooms are cleaned sometimes twice a day and the beds are comfy with your own outlet for charging and light. The only downside is the sink is outside the bathroom which is annoying when people are trying to get ready in the morning. The social ambience is great lots, they also coordinate activities and bbq's.

Great social atmosphere, they organize a lot of activities. Hostel is basic but clean, but this seems to be all the hostels in Mendoza. The location is central and easy to get everywhere from. Lots of bathrooms which is a plus, but could do with a more cozy social area.

Facilities are clean, the 16 bed dorm is stuffy and needs a dehumidifier badly and beds need to be oiled as they're super noisy. Also there needs to be more staff in the morning I waited one hour to check out because only one person was working the breakfast and reception. Otherwise nice hostel. A bit far from main part of the city but close to the metro.

Staff was the best part! The staff is all super friendly and really helpful even after I left! They stayed up late and waited for me when I would be taking a late bus to Marrakech. Rooms are pretty clean and have lockers which is a huge plus. Breakfast everyday is good and it's super cheap and not too far from the main square. Only complaint is the bathrooms but I've experienced musty bathrooms all over Morocco.

Located in the medina so you can reach everything by foot. Rooms are spacious and clean. Staff was really friendly always offering to help answer questions or walk us from place to place since as a female you get a lot of harassment in Morocco so I really appreciated that. Only complaint is the bathrooms get a little musty smelling but that's everywhere in Morocco. And there was no lockers to lock up personal items. But overall cleanest hostel I stayed at in Morocco.

Located fairly central so easy to get around. There is a bathroom in each room which is nice, although toilet & shower are in the same room so a bit annoying if someone is showering and you need to use the toilet. As well there is only two plugs for the entire room this is a major downside. This is was one of the cheapest places for Oktoberfest but still way too overpriced.

Great hostel located in the center of Akureyri. The rooms are really clean and there is lots of outlets which is good. Beds are basic metal bunk beds with a springy mattress. Wasn't a huge fan of the showers being located in the basement when were on the 3rd floor and you walk past the bar to get there. Would stay here again.

The place was nice and pretty clean. There ins't a place to meet new people so if the people in your room aren't social you won't enjoy your time here if you're a solo backpacker. As well staff was helpful most of the time but i feel I got ripped off I paid a deposit for a towel which I was told I'd get back then upon check out another worker said they don't charge for a deposit and said even if I had the deposit goes towards laundry. So be sure to bring your own towel to avoid this

If don't plan to party on the weekend don't stay here. You can always hear people from the bar downstairs. Room wasn't the cleanest and wasn't a good environment, almost everyone in my room was on holiday working visa and didn't hang around. The only plus is that it's located right in the CBD.

One of the cleanest hostels I've stayed in. They clean the room every day and give you fresh sheets and a towel each day. There isn't a great hang out area to meet people from other rooms more of a hotel setup but none the less great facilities and staff was super helpful. There's even free breakfast which is a plus especially for a hostel in NYC. Great price.

Very nice place and very close to the central station. My only complaint is how much they charge for everything! If you don't bring your own sheets they charge about 4 euros so some people didn't take the sheets and just sleep on the bed with no sheets how disgusting!

Clean room except if you don't bring your own sheets they charge you 4 euros which is optional so a lot of people choose not to do it and sleep on the bed with no bed sheets that made me feel very uncomfortable to think about how many people before me did that in the bed I was sleeping in, granted I had sheets but still. A bit of a walk from the station and not too far from city center.

First of all when I went to drop off my bags there was no one working. I rang the bell I called no answer. Someone let me in and told me the staff left. I then was told to just take an empty bed. Later in the evening when I found a staff member first they tried to say no one was working because it was someone's birthday then they blamed me saying I arrived early to my check in time even though their page says 24 hour reception. terruble place stay somewhere else.

One of the worst places I've stayed at. The worker was so rude! He came into our room at 2:30 in the morning without knocking and just walked into our room for no reason. Not to mention this was an all female room and he was a male worker. This is not okay! Secondly there's no outlets only about four for the entire room. The facility was really old and run down bathrooms were gross and dirty. Far too overpriced for the quality.
