Nice hostel about 4km from Alexanderplatz. Beds are comfortable although a little squeaky. Nice and clean bathrooms. I haven't tried the kitchen. Good buffet breakfast included, definitely a plus. Staff is friendly and helpful. Officially the reception opens at 10am, which is rather annoying, but in practice I was able to check out earlier and even leave my luggage for the duration of the day. I would definitely stay there again.

Wow! One of the best hostels I've ever stayed in. Barichara is a lovely village and this hostel took the best of it: located on a slope, it is organized around various terraces: tables/chairs, hammocks, a (small) swimming pool, plants and trees with birds in cages... Cute. Even the showers look great! Big and really well-equiped kitchen. Lockers in dorm. Helpful staff. Only downsides: beds could be a little more comfortable and wi-fi is unreliable. Definitely recommend.

Nice and pretty hostel with a good atmosphere right in the middle of la Candelaria. Breakfast is basic but included. Helpful staff. Lockers outside the dorm. Walls are very thin so might get a bit loud, but while I was staying everyone was very respectful so that wasn't a problem. Wi-fi, as often, was unreliable and did not work well in the rooms.

A clean and modern hostel not too far from Gringolandia, but away from the noise. Convenient location next to a metro station. The place in itself has nothing special. It is a little expensive in my opinion, but still a very decent place to stay. The owner lady is friendly and helpful. No lockers in my dorm.

A bit out of town (20' from both the main square or the bus terminal). Friendly owners who will carry you into town whenever they have the opportunity. Kitchen is very basic. A basic breakfast was included.

Out of town, but no more than 20' from the main bus terminal or the main square. Rather good facilities, including the kitchen. Fewer lockers than dorm beds, though. Nice and helpful staff. Good atmosphere when I was staying there. the traffic light beep mentioned by some reviewers is indeed annoying, but earplugs easily solved the problem.

Basic hotel attended by not so friendly staff in a dodgy neighborhood. Useful as a pit stop between a flight and a bus; not suitable for a longer stay. Take a taxi after dark; I walked from the Metrovia station in the middle of the day and was apparently not very welcome, at least for some unfriendly teenagers. At least, the place is clean and there are individual lockers. A huge mall is nearby and is pretty much the only civilized place around.

Rather good hostel in Miraflores, conveniently located one block away from a metrobus station. Beds tend to shake in earthquake mode every time someone moves or simply walks around. Big lockers under beds. Breakfast is OK. Friendly and helpful staff.
Thank you for your review. We are glad that you had a good stay with us, and in special, that each of us has been able to help you. We hope to welcome you back soon again.

Nice hostel with friendly and helpful staff. Located a few blocks away from the main square (10 minutes by foot at most), on a small "plazeta". Rather quiet by Peruvian standards. Excellent buffet breakfast. Good cleanliness. Recommended address.

Great hostel with super friendly staff and a social, chilled out (but quiet) atmosphere. The location could be better since it is a steady 20 minute walk into town, but on the other hand it is close to the bus terminal and there is a market nearby (and even a supermarket not too far). The breakfast rocks! Cooked fresh with something different every day. I came for one night, I ended up staying a week -- and that's not because of the city itself: Arica, though not unpleasant, has few attractions.

Nice and helpful staff. Cleanliness is taken seriously there, although the dusty conditions thwart some of the staff's efforts. Location a bit out of town, but just 5 minutes walking; the nieghbourhood is relatively quiet. Two bathrooms is too short for the number of guests. Lockers are small, outside rooms and in a very inconvenient location (outside in everyone's way or under the sun). Security is a joke with the room's window open 24 hours onto the street. But would still definitely recommend.

Very basic place with cardboard walls, located in a drab street. But this location has two advantages: (1) close to some bus agencies (easy to hop on a bus) and (2) close to the city center. Note however that the main bus terminal is far away. I had booked a dorm bed with breakfast included; by the time I arrived, it had changed into a single room without breakfast; I eventually got a basic breakfast for free; so all in all it was a good deal! But it seems that reservation handling is hectic.

Quite basic place with many bunk beds packed into small rooms. Lockers are one floor below in the basement. Kitchen a bit tiny. Friendly and helpful owners, though. In the context of la Serena (packed during summer), still a decent place to spend a night or two. Would not recommend for longer stays, however. Cleanliness and location OK.

Friendly and helpful staff. Nice location. The Tuesday asado is rather good value, in my opinion. Excellent cleanliness: sanitaries are cleaned several times a day. One annoying thing: I had to change room, although I booked three nights in the first place (without extending my stay); but they offered me a free artesanal beer in compensation so, hey, that was not that bad. The last night, the people below were engaged in a decibel contest; nothing to blame the hostel for, but still a pain.

Individual rooms for the price of a dorm bed, excellent facilities (two complete bathrooms, two additional WC, well equipped-kitchen with individual cupboards and food boxes, large and comfortable common areas, even a courtyard with trees). Excellent location with two metro stations around, supermarket one block away... Friendly staff. The only downside is that the staff is not always on site, so if you come at odd hours (which was my case), you might stare at the door longer than expected.

The super friendly staff can't unfortunately hide some of the hostel's shortcomings: kitchen is outside and under-equipped; no real tables (one mere wooden plank and a bench, plus one plastic table near the reception); 1.5 bathrooms for two dorms (the "half-bathroom" being next to the kitchen, outside; you have to sit sidewards on the throne because there's no room for your legs!). Some plus sides, though: good breakfast with fried eggs; rock-solid bunk beds, good location. Still enjoyed staying

Comfortable bunk beds. Individual lockers. The fastest Internet connection I've experienced when travelling! Good breakfast with fruits & yoghurt. The kitchen is outside under a roof; weird but fine. Helpful staff. Perfect location half-way between the bus terminal and the city center. All in all a good address.

Only spent one night there on my way to Chiloé. The hospedaje is run by a lovely granny and a more grumpy grandpa. Excellent rooms & facilities. A bit pricey, but we're speaking about individual rooms here, so that's OK. Very clean. Can't really say more since I spent little time there.

Rooms are a bit cramped. Security is a joke since there are no individual lockers in the dorm and the front door remains open most of the day. Location a bit outside of town center, but still OK. Staff compensates the downsides by being helpful and with a very good breakfast. All in all still a decent place by Patagonian standards.

Staff ranging from very kind and helpful to just nice. Kitchen a bit under-equipped. Self-service breakfast available from the very early morning: easy when going trekking or to catch a bus. I rented camping gear there: the tent was good, mattress and stove OK, but the sleeping bag way too light: I had to put all my clothes on not to freeze. Good central location, although that makes it a bit far from the bus terminal.

Kitchen is under equipped. Only one bathroom for 4 dorms. Staff not always so nice. Wi-fi unreliable, though good bandwidth when you succeed in connecting. Otherwise good location.

Let's be honest: this hostel is quite basic. Yet, I really enjoyed staying there. The staff is friendly, and there was a good atmosphere.

Well-equipped kitchen. Helpful staff. Big lockers. Comfortable beds. Good breakfast, with home-made marmelade; we even had pancakes for Christmas! Location is OK, not far from the town centre. All in all, a very good address in Bariloche.

Nice kitchen. Nice breakfast. Large dorm, with large lockers. Very clean. Helpful staff. Location is OK, a few blocks away from the seafront, the city centre and the bus station. All in all a very good address in Puerto Madryn.

The hostel is OK, though with not much atmosphere -- and with the beer-drinking, late-partying, loud-speaking crowd that this kind of city seems to attract.
Thanks for your comment . You were here durig the off season maybe that`s why you dindn`t find as much party as you want. Cheers El Viajero Staff

At first you will notice the surfer crowd, but there are other types of travellers as well. Staff is friendly and useful. Good breakfast. Lockers under the beds. Kitchen rather well-equiped.

Rooms are really small. There's not enough room for the bags, not to mention space to come and go. Lockers under the beds. Note: no breakfast. Great location 50m from the beach. The bar opposite the "plaza" plays loud music until at least 3am -- bring earplugs. There's a set dinner most days for 150$, but I haven't tried it. Wi-Fi for one hour between 22:00 and 23:00, which is nice in such a remote village. Although the tap water is supposed to be drinkable, I would advise against it (got sick).

Locker is a bit small. Breakfast starts at 9am, which is late if you have to catch a bus in the morning. Location is good (close to both the old and the new town); there are homeless people on the streets which can give a feeling of insecurity, but I doubt there is real danger. Staff is friendly and helpful (they phoned a bus company for me and kept dialing until they answered). Breakfast is good. Only two bathrooms, which is not enough. The hostel in itself is pretty: old house and vivid colors

Magnetic cards for doors. Lockers are just drawers below the beds. Good breakfast (cereals/milk, coffee/tea/chocolate, bread, jam/dulce de leche, toaster). Friendly staff, though some of the more recent did not know much about the city. Location: not far from the old city, and just two blocks from the ferry & bus terminals.

Friendly staff. Amazing breakfast (eggs, pastries, cereals/milk). Location is OK, not far from a subway station and within walkable distance of both the microcentro and San Telmo. Stayed there twice, so obviously it's not bad at all.
