Breakfast is slow, so make sure you leave time to get it as it's really good! Hostel was clean and safe. Amazing location, especially if you are only staying for one night after getting a flight in.
Hi there! Thanks for being patient while waiting for your breakfast! Unlike most traditional hostels that serve a buffet, we make all our breakfasts to order so they're extra fresh and delicious! Glad you enjoyed it! Safe travels! - Scout

Loved this hostel- I stayed in a spacious 8 person dorm chalet with its own kitchen bathroom and TV, (renting DVDs from reception was great for when it rained). Good location just over the road from the beach and 5-10 min walk from supermarket, ferry and town.

Loved this hostel- great location, super clean, no bunk beds and every bed had 2 plug sockets and a bedside table- little things that made it really comfy and nice to stay. I've paid a lot more for a lot less in other places- really recommend this hostel.
Thank you for your nice comments. Glad you enjoyed it here. Cheers Neil

I've stayed in ~40 hostels in NZ and this was one of my favourites. Lovely spacious clean bedrooms, well set out kitchen and large dining table, powerful showers. Only a minute from a big supermarket. The only downside was the WiFi, which only worked in the downstairs communal area and even then it was patchy and slow. I stayed in several other hostels in wellington and it is well worth spending a couple of dollars more to stay here!

Lovely hostel with a great vibe and good location just a minute from the beach. Very clean and fantastic facilities (I stayed in the deluxe dorm)

Definitely one of the best hostels I've stayed in! Gorgeous deck with spa and lovely views of the sea and mountains, best place to eat breakfast! Lots of space to relax, also really nice to be in a dorm that's not full of bunks! Small enough that you get to know everyone there, pretty much perfect :)

A great place to stay if you want some peace and quiet. Extremely clean and great bathroom and kitchen facilities. Free washing machine + clothes line was also a bonus! Not great if travelling alone and looking for a sociable scene, and just a bit too far from shopping/ supermarkets unless you want to catch a bus everywhere. Occasionally felt a bit like I was invading someones house as I wasn't used to homestyle accommodation. Would stay there again if looking for a few relaxing days.

Really cool place to stay for a few days, staff were helpful and genuinely friendly! Great location just minutes from beach/pier, library (free wifi!) and supermarket. Good vibes!

perfect hostel for recovering from jetlag while still being very close to the city. Clean and good facilities but not the best place for socialising
