Had a great stay here. Clean and spacious with nice pool and very close to all the pubs at night. Would recommend.

Great hostel which was clean and spacious and had a reasonable atmosphere at night. Quite a long walk out of town which wasn’t the worst thing in the world but could be a bit annoying at times.

Great for a solo traveller. Roof bar is a great place to start a big night out. Food is also excellent!

Good hostel but no atmosphere which was unfortunate. May just be the time of year though.

Fantastic hostel with a really great social vibe. Hostel dinners are a great idea which brings everyone together in the evenings! Would highly recommend!

Very disappointed with this hostel. Please be aware that most of the people staying here are "students" (read unemployed people who bum around the hostel all day) and that there is very minimal social organisation. The staff are inattentive and cancel almost all of the 'scheduled activities' at the last minute. Avoid at all costs!
Hey there, We're sorry to hear that you were disappointed with your stay here. To address some of your concerns - we do have long term students that stay here, and we do complete an application process with each one of them to ensure we get the right people. We're sorry that you were put off by this. We hate to cancel activities as we love running them to show people a good time but unfortunately if we don't have enough interest (at least 5 people) we do have to cancel them. Unfortunately you did catch the end of a period where there was a large convention in town, so a lot of our guests were occupied with that rather than our social activities. Again, thanks for your feedback, and we are sorry that you were disappointed. I hope that you may give us a chance down the track to redeem ourselves at this or one of our other locations here. If not however, safe travels, and all the best! Cheers, ITH Management

Nothing particularly wrong with this hostel but just lacked any sort of atmosphere unfortunately.

Not really a hostel - more of a budget hotel. Very nice room and enjoyable stay. However wifi was fairly rubbish and it was a good half an hours walk away from the city proper.

Very good hostel with a fun bar. Lockers under the beds was a useful addition and the staff were very helpful with organising activities during the day. Overall a good hostel experience in a beautiful city.

Really nice hostel but not much in the way of atmosphere. Too full of school groups and old people.

The madhouse is an amazing hostel with enthusiastic and fun staff. It manages to provide all the craziness of a party hostel without compromising on security, cleanliness or overall quality of accommodation. I had a wonderful time and met wonderful people during my stay here! Will be back for sure!

I was disappointed with the service at Hostel Merlin. The staff were unhelpful and barely spoke any English, the beds were small and uncomfortable, the showers were really annoying because you had to press the button every 10 seconds and the toilet was hard to use because the roof was on such a slope. I was very disappointed overall.

Hostel was adequate without being anything special. No kitchen was annoying and there was very little atmosphere - even in the bar. Lockers were good though and watching the sound of music with everyone in the common room was fun.
hi there. thanks for your Feedback. safe travells :)

The Treehouse is a nice place to stay although it was very quiet and had quite an old/family population which meant it wasn't ideal for meeting people. The skiing nearby was a lot of fun though and both the breakfasts and dinners were good. Would stay again.

Wombats was a good hostel. I liked being close to the Nashmarket where there was heaps of really nice food at a great price. The kitchen was also pretty good and the walking tour was fantastic with a really good guide! Rooms were also nice with individual power points. Would stay here again.

This hostel was good with the highlight being a fun cooking course on a Thursday night. Rooms were clean and spacious with big lockers. I did think however that the fact that you needed a swipe card and two physical keys to access your stuff seemed a bit ridiculous though. Would definitely stay here again :)

The best hostel I have ever stayed at without question! Staff are just lovely people who are so inclusive and really help to create a vibrant and sociable atmosphere! Every night there is a different themes party and each one is as fun as the next. On top of that the hostel itself is of the highest quality and is even quiet at night meaning you can still sleep well and see beautiful Budapest! Will definitely be back for round 2 in the summer! Amazing place, amazing people!

Really nice hostel with a good security system and cool bunk beds. Staff were lovely too and there was a good kitchen. Easily the best hostel breakfast we've ever had! The pancakes were amazing! Would definitely stay here again!

The hostel run walking tour was fantastic- the guide not only showed us the best historical sites but also took us to the best spots to get local specialties! One negative- despite having 2 kitchens- one was ill equipped and the other was occupied by the hostel chef between 6pm and 10pm every night, making it almost impossible to cook your own meals. Overall was good though! Would stay again!

Good vibe - night time activities that get everyone involved make it really easy to meet people! The free dinner consisted of chickpeas and onions, so not amazing- but hey, it's free! Staff were helpful and gave lots of tips! Water pressure in the shower is pretty pathetic though. Would stay here again!

Great hostel with an awesome vibe and a good kitchen. Walking tour was also really worthwhile and a great way to meet other travellers staying at the hostel. Rooms have good big lockers and comfortable beds. Also good to note is that you don't have to pre-book tickets to the Alhambra this time of year! Would definitely stay here again!

Great location near the bridge and bullring. Rooms were spacious and staff nice. Wifi was pretty good too. Free breakfast was poor but no worse than other hostels. Good paela restaurant next door. Would stay again.

Cute little hostel. Fantastic wifi- amazing reception! Close to mesquita and close to train station (catch bus 3- takes 15 mins or so). Hot water seems to only work in the morning. Not much atmosphere but it's the off season. Would stay again!
Hi, thank you for your nice review. We have hot water all day. See you again soon !

Nice place with a great location right next to a central metro station and close to Los Ramblas. Had a great kitchen which was well equipped and had a fridge. Also really close to the supermarket. Wristband keys were cool. Breakfast was very ordinary but who really cares. Also very little atmosphere but it is the low season. Would stay again.

Nothing special but spacious rooms and good central location. Not amazing but certainly good enough and there didn't seem to be many other options in Montpellier. Would stay again.

Nice little hostel. Even though they don't have a kitchen they do have a microwave and a kettle which were handy. Great location in a really nice city. Staff were lovely. Only complaint was having to shower in the dark due to dodgy motion sensors. Overall very good though and would stay again.

Nice hostel in a good location near the beach. Staff were lovely and very helpful. Kitchen was really good and we were able to cook every night. Atmosphere was quiet but it is the down season. Would definitely recommend it.

Good hotel in a great location near the station. Corner shop and boulangerie right downstairs was very handy. Rooms were nice with fresh towels and newly made beds every day. However the staff were not particularly helpful and the bathroom was absurdly small such that I literally couldn't use the toilet because the front was so close to the wall. Would stay here again but mainly just because anywhere else good seemed significantly more expensive.

Nice hostel with a lovely owner who was very helpful and welcoming and even gave us his personal restaurant recommendations. Note that this is not really a hostel but more a spare room. Location is a bit off the main island but easy to get to on the bus in only 20 mins and it's only 1E30. If he tells you the the second bathroom is out of order double check coz it's actually just the toilet and the shower still works perfectly. Would stay here again :)

Great hostel only a short walk from the city centre. The staff were great and we're always able to answer our questions. We found in vaguely funny that the shower was in our room right near to our bed. The dinner was not worth the money (can get amazing pastas in town for similar money) but the breakfast was alright. Would definitely stay here again.

Great hostel with a really fun bar and a great drinking bus tour. Rooms were good and clean and it was close to everywhere important. Main criticism would be that the kitchen is really just a kettle and a couple of microwaves. Would definitely stay here again!

Nice hostel with really helpful staff but rooms were very cramped and kitchen was not particularly well equipped (eg no knives). Not much of a hostel atmosphere but still good fun and met lots of people in the kitchen and common room.
thank you very much for your feedback. it seems like some guest are taking some kitchen equipment as a souvenir. we will fill it up again. did you check the dishwasher? maybe the knifes were in there. hope to see you again

Nice hostel with a good kitchen which was a good way to save money in an expensive city. The rooms were spacious with big lockers and comfy beds. The staff were lovely, particularly Andrea who went above and beyond to help us several times. Contrary to other reviews we had no problem with Mosquitos. Only complaint would be the lack of a hostel-like atmosphere. Would stay here again!

Great hostel in a great location. Bar is awesome with reasonably priced drinks and really good place to meet others. Rooms were clean with ensuite. Wifi was terrible but all in all a great few nights. Would definitely stay here again in the future.
