Not a bad stay at BPI between Christmas and NYE. Really busy time of year, and the hostel was packed. I wish there was a better atmosphere for meeting others given the busy time of year. Location was right by the beach, and a stroll to the supermarkets and main strip. Booked a 4-bed room, but the room ended up having a fifth bed added to it. Unsure why and the staff didn't explain.

Only stopped for a night in Brisbane and stayed at Bunk. A very busy hostel with a bar attached. Location is good and close to transit. Bathrooms could have been cleaner, and one of the shower heads didn't work properly.

Fantastic stay at Flashpackers Noosa! Stayed over Christmas, and the hostel really brought all the guests, staff, and owners together with free food and champagne. Made spending Christmas away from home feel somewhat homey. The location is a bit far from the main bustle of Noosa, but the free shuttle service somewhat made up for that. Gorgeous surroundings. Great pool. And clean facilities.

Had a great stay at Frasers on Rainbow Beach! Nightly activities were great and brought a great atmosphere. Rooms were good and the ensuite bathroom was well maintained. There truly isn't much else to do in Rainbow Beach besides going to Fraser Island.

Overall a decent hostel! It is massive and always had a lot of people going in and out, so the security can definitely be improved. Location is prime, and you can't go wrong with Magnums if that's what you're looking for. For a massive hostel, there wasn't a great space for meeting others other than the small kitchens, which was a bummer considering the potential it could have had. Otherwise, there isn't much to do in Airlie Beach besides getting on a boat for a sailing trip.

Location, location, location! Super fun hostel centrally located. You literally cannot be closer to the action of 6th street. Clean rooms, clean bathrooms, chill staff, and the kitchen is always a great hangout. Met a ton of great folks from all over. Only complaint is that it can get noisy with the lounge downstairs, but you sign up for that when you book here.

Fantastic time at the Tipsy Tiger! Alex and Shane are awesome, and will show you a good time around Penang. Traveled solo and met awesome people here. The rooms were comfortably air conditioned, and the location was central and close to points of interest. The two free drinks every night is great, and you'll meet people in no time!

Great little hostel in Koh Lanta. You can rent a scooter here, and makes getting around really easy. The bathrooms in the rooms weren't very clean, but the hot showers in the common areas were incredible. I went during off-season, so it was extremely quite, and the beaches were unfortunately not maintained and dirty.

Only stayed one night here, but had a blast. Was traveling alone and met great people. The hostel really facilitates a great atmosphere for meeting people. The location might not be the best, but I'm sure anyone can manage. Close to good food options, and the staff were incredibly helpful, helping me arrange onward transportation.

Decent hostel, but not much of an atmosphere. The faucet area was not the cleanest. The top bunk was not the best; I'm rather short and still hit my head every time I got up on the ceiling. Good location if your primary aim is to hang around Kuta. Lots of bars and nightclubs. Kuta is a mess, and honestly not the best place in Bali.

Decent hostel literally right beside the Chinatown MRT station. It was definitely a little pricey, and there wasn't much of an atmosphere. Good if you want to be central to the sights!

Fantastic hostel with lots of travellers and a fantastic atmosphere. Mix of foreign and Burmese staff who all speak perfect English and are great help. It offers many tours and activities. Super clean with housekeeping offering a second cleaning during the day if needed. Free pasta at 1pm, 4pm, and 7pm. Great bar and kitchen as well. Would recommend! Just a little pricey for Myanmar.

Fantastic hostel right off Khao San Road. Bathrooms are clean, and the building is very secure. Self-service laundry was effective. Massive dorm rooms are helpfully segregated by blinds and curtains. Pretty great atmosphere.

Little hostel right off Bangla Road and right across the street from the beach. Not the cleanest place, but for the location is understandable. A bit hard to find. Right upstairs from a seedy massage place and exchange bureau.

Great hostel near Shinjuku sanchome station. Not a very social atmosphere overall, but the facilities are clean. Showers are especially nice for a hostel. Would recommend if you want to stay close to the LGBT bars in Nichome.
Thank you very much for staying our hostel and we are looking forward to you coming back here again. we are trying to get this hostel improved. hope to see you soon.

The hostel is overall hip and clean. Location is fantastic, close to many sites and the main walking strip in Reykjavik. The placement of electrical outlets in the rooms are a little inconvenient though.

#bunk was a fantastic place to stay in Istanbul! The location is super close to Taksim, public transportation, and the airport shuttle buses. The staff were fantastic, and gave great recommendations on restaurants, transportation, and sights to see. The hostel is clean, hip, and well-run. I would recommend it to anyone traveling to Istanbul! Turkey is taking a hit right now with the current political situation, so the hostel was a little bit empty. It's not bad at! Visit Turkey and stay here!

Fantastic stay! The location is close to the beach and the bus station. Old town is a walk away, but it's nice to live amongst locals. Security is good and the staff is friendly. Pool and BBQ are a nice touch. Would recommend if you're visiting Zadar!

Location is very central and close to the ferries and buses. The hostel is small and everyone was eager to socialize when we were there. The dinner out was a nice touch, and we were introduced to a great bar! Would recommend if you're looking for a boozy stay in split!

The location is in the middle of Old Town, and the experience is great living amongst the history. The staff was new and tried really hard to be helpful! The hostel seemed empty and we didn't meet anyone there. The 24 hour access to breakfast is a plus. There was barely any staff presence during our stay.

Had an amazing experience here. The bar has reasonably priced drinks and food, and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Security is great, considering the location. Would recommend to anyone traveling to Amsterdam!

This hostel is located near the 101, and right in the midst of a night market. The space is very compact, but the common room is great for meeting other travellers. It is relatively close to an MRT station. Because of its location, it can be very noisy at night because the dorms have windows that face the night market. Rice was amazing! She gave me a lot of information on what to see in Taipei, and even took me to breakfast! Definitely recommended for travellers who are keen to meet others.

This hostel is excellent for travellers looking for a cozy space to stay. The hostel itself is very small, so it has a very homey feel to it. I recommend staying here during the winter because Taiwan does not have heating, but since the dorms in this hostel are in the basement, it's very warm. Renee was great, but the other staff were a bit cold at times. There is a ton of information that you can find on Taiwan at the hostel, and the location is extremely convenient.

We were initially staying at a different hostel in Shanghai and did not enjoy it, so we booked Blue Mountain Bund based on the fantastic reviews on HostelWorld. For a hostel in China, Blue Mountain Bund has amazing amenities and staff. The common room is great, and drinks and food are reasonably priced. The staff speak great English, and won't hesitate to tell you where to go to find great food and spots for nightlife. The location is close to the Bund and the Metro station. Would stay again!
