Billabong Hostel Phnom Penh, Phnom Penh, Cambodia

Billabong is the cleanest hostel I've ever stayed in. The rooms are spacious and the bed linens, bathrooms, and floors are all spotless. It's a quieter hostel so if you're looking to be in bed a bit earlier and not have a party scene then this hostel is perfect for you. instayed in an 8 bed all female room and it was still quiet and respectful!

The Siem Reap Hostel, Siem Reap, Cambodia

This hostel was a balanced mix of social, relaxed, friendly, and had a number of night activities for those interested. The staff at this hostel are the best, most accommodating and friendliest I have come across in all my travels. They really take time to help you. I stayed in a 6 bed mixed dorm room. The beds and bathroom in the room were clean and there were public facilities in case the room was taken. Only complaint was that the third floor public showers were full of mosquitos.

The hostel was good but the service wasn't very friendly the nights we stayed there. The staff had limited English speakers and no business cards or papers with the hostel address to give to a taxi driver or someone else who speaks English. There were no maps of the city or subway available for purchasing. It was very inconvenient. There was one man who worked there who was very helpful. He didn't speak English but any question we had he would always give us a helpful answer.

We loved how big the showers were and how clean everything was. The beds were very comfortable and wide. We liked that you could have outside food in the lobby areas. Also the cleanliness of the bathrooms and showers was incredible. Nothing wrong about this hostel, we would stay here again for sure.

Peking Yard Hostel, Beijing, China

This was the best hostel I have ever stayed in! For me having a friendly staff that can speak English is really important and everyone at Peking Yard hostel went beyond what was required of them to be helpful. One very terrible thing is the mold buildup in the room we stayed in. It looked like black mold which is harmful to the lungs. It was in two corners of the room and we were very worried about it. This should be cleaned!!! Also it would be nice to be able to eat outside food in the lobby.
