Disappointed in the atmosphere, not easy to socialize there, as the common spaces are too big/scattered, people tend to gather in small groups and the staff was not very proactive in creating a fun vibe. The common bathroom is not convenient - you cannot really hang your clothes anywhere inside/outside while you're showering so it's kind of challenging!

Amazing hostel, with great volunteers (shout-out to Silvia) and a unique village atmosphere. The villagers were beyond nice and welcoming and def. were part of the experience - there was a religious village celebration when I was there and we all went hiking together + had a village dinner. If you want to experience Macedonia off the beaten track, discover its traditions and some of its best landscapes, and have a relaxing time, you don't wanna miss Vertical Hostel Mavrovo!! Laura

Wonderful hostel, perfect location, very friendly atmosphere, free dinners every night and a special mention to the cook : Chang, who is also a beautiful person ! Perfect for solo travellers or groups willing to socialize. Lots of different nationalities. They have a variety of dorms (mixed or female) and it's also a good place to just chill & rest. Plus they have a very pretty bird :)

Very nice hostel, with different spacious buildings spread in the Old Town. Definitely a must to stay in the Old Town overnight, when it gets emptier and quieter. Cool staff & nicely organised walk/cliff jumping for sunset. Party atmosphere in the common areas, but if you want enjoy a quiet & comfy night you can still do so. Very clean everywhere. Just regretted showers don't have hangers making it hard to change & put clothes anywhere when showering. Still, would highly recommend the place!

This is a great, recently opened hostel, decorated with lots of taste and originality, which will make you feel you're invited in a private apartment. It is spacious and yet not too big, making it easy to meet and socialise with fellow travelers, but also with the staff who is very friendly, available and open to endless chats, or even sometimes to go for coffee :). Facilities are very comfy & convenient. I highly recommend the place and would stay again next time in Novi Sad!

It was so nice to stay at Guest House Bistrik and to enjoy a relaxing & cosy time in the big double room (+ living room!) I've had for barely more than the price of a single bed in a dorm in Sarajevo. The guesthouse is located in a quiet residential area uphill, and still very close to the city centre (10-15mn walking to the major attractions). The landlord is really welcoming and arranging, driving me to the bus station in East Sarajevo and sharing stories along the way. Would stay again!

Home away from home, one best hostels I've ever stayed in. Staff makes our time here so family-like and heartwarming. Majda is a delicious cook. The garden is the best space for tired and curious solo travelers to socialize and chill out. The 1-day organised tour with Bata was one of the best experiences I've had in the Balkans, for the personal stories shared, in the mesmerizing landscapes of Herzegovina. It is not nicknamed the "one more night" hostel for nothin, don't miss this special place!

A really nice hostel located in the owners' family house in the very city center, but still in a calm street. The living room is huge and decorated with traditional items. Rooms and bathrooms are comfy and clean. The garden is truly perfect for solo travelers of all ages who enjoy relaxing in hammocks after a day hiking in beautiful mountainous Peja. If you are into kittens, you will find your happiness. And you will for sure meet interesting and friendly people there.

Simply amazing place. I've been back there three times during my stay around Kosovo. You simply can't beat how welcoming, fun and interesting to talk to the staff is. You can't beat the atmosphere and the location either. Beds are comfy and bathrooms spotless. This hostel fully contributes to make Prishtina very special for travelers - If I need a place next time I come here, I will for sure stay happily in Hostel Han again :-)

A bit disappointed - Safestay York is a big complex for families and/or big groups of travelers, but it is not really what solo travelers could expect from a hostel. There is basically no atmosphere in the common areas, the staff is not very present, and it is difficult to meet people to explore the city there. I see it more like a big hotel with dorms. Beds are comfy, but bathrooms are really small, and get flooded easily once one showers, which can result in dirtiness.

The atmosphere of this little hostel is really warm. It is full of volunteers from different countries that live here for a while and are willing to share a lot with customers. It could not be best-located as it is 10mn. max for every hostpot of Budapest nightlife and in the heart of the Jewish area that contain most of the awesome façades and sightviewing of the city. Bathroom and kitchen are very well-equipped. The mattresses are a bit too thin though.

3nights in this hostel and according to the reviews I was truly expecting worse! The beds are the most comfy I ever found in a hostel: HUGE pillows and thick cover. The atmosphere is very poor as there is no one in the common room and not any effort made in the decoration. But if you come with a group of friends, it is huge, just for you, with a micro-waves and big sofas. The showers are the big negative point: no locker, only curtains, towers outside, not very practical. Very average location

Very OK hostel with a nice concept - the color blocks which are forming the beds About the location!: even it's very near the Parliament (which is definitely a top sight of the city) this same Parliament is not that close to the Old town and the city centre, where the nightlife happens and most of the day activities as well (25mn walk). Along the Danube (4 American girls in my dormitory left their stuff and didnt come back the 2 nights after, hope everythings okay) Very calm ambiance-too much?

Haven't understood why it was so high rated, to be honest. Quite desappointed by the guy from the staff - a newbie way too shy and unsure for this job. Not helpful at all. The common room is very small - moveover, it's very dark. Did not enjoy the atmosphere that much. The breakfast is very basic and not so enjoyable. Of course do not think it's a disgusting place to go but still I was not convinced as other places I've been. Still location VERY good and okay facilities.

This is a very very charming hostel with nice atmosphere and personnality and I'ld recommand it to all of you. Perfect location, around 3 min. from the Town Hall (where free tours are departing). The common room is filled with chill-out music, pouffes (these very comfy seats), modern colours and decorated with good taste.Lighty You wake up with a free delicious breakfast including pancakes and hot drinks, perfect sound and good people! There are several big separate bathrooms - very luxurious
