The staff were so friendly and kind! Really go above and beyond with the dinners and organized activities during the day and night and making sure everyone feels connected and included. It's definitely a party hostel but everyone was respectful of noise and the fact that some people weren't going out or had to sleep/get up early. Great location next to Hyde Park - made for a beautiful day walking through it into the city :)

The hostel was intimate and friendly; I can't thank the hosts enough for making my stay so special. Upon checking in they saw it would be my birthday on my last day there; they decorated the common area and got me a cake and party favors So kind and thoughtful - absolute gem of a place. Super peaceful and pretty setting.

They were super helpful and flexible. My only complaints were that wifi didn't work in the room, individual rooms did not have locks or lockers, and accommodations were extremely bare (room only consisted of a bed, a fan, and an outlet). However, common area in basement was nice and it worked for the price!

Jimmy Jumps holds a special place in my heart. Great hostel, great staff, great organized activities. Really fun, social vibe without being some crazy party hostel. Loved the sturdy bunks with curtains. Wifi in the room and water temps in our shower weren't as consistent, but other than that everything was great. I def recommend it!

LOVED cinnamon Sally's. This is how a hostel should be. Fun and social without being too wild or immature. A little out of old town, but right next to the train station so still a good location. Only two bathrooms which sometimes led to waiting, but they had two additional sinks and four showers and there was never a wait for those. Clean and cozy. Wonderful staff. Great waffles.

After all of the nightmare reviews, I braced myself for the worst... but y'all are trippin lol this place is totally fine. I found it to be social, clean, well staffed, and secure. The rooftop is nice and the location is actually pretty good for walking to/from most spots in the city. Sure, this isn't the cool small hostel vibe but nowhere in Oslo is so you can make due.

This hostel is in the perfect location and the rooftop terrace is lovely. Wifi was hit or miss, as were outlets by beds (only 1/3 bunks were close enough to 1/2 double outlets in my room). Ensuite bathroom was a little gross (smelled like urine and constantly covered in water from the slanted floor + shower) but tolerable. Breakfast was good! Appreciated that sheets were included and that there was a good amount of common area space. The latter didn't contribute to much sociality, however.

LOVED the vibe of this place. It's a party hostel but has an intimate (only 20 guests) and low key vibe. Cheap family dinners, organized events every night, great recommendations and tips. They provide food to cook yourself breakfast (eggs, toast, tea/coffee) for free. Only cons were bathrooms (only one toilet is truly private and it was broken half the time) and showers RARELY have hot water. They tell you you can just turn it off and wait then heat is back, but it doesn't last, so beware!

Hostel & city were pretty dead, so I didn't get full experience. Cons: no age limit, slept in room alone with 60-year-old man. Pros: awesome recommendations for city & food, good bar, fun staff. Not right in city center but w/in 10 min walk. 15 min from bus station. Near Slovak Pub (go there!). I imagine this place is better when people are around, haha.

Bar was fun/good for meeting ppl, but rest of the hostel left a lot to be desired. Our shower drain was clogged when we arrived. Roommates said they already informed staff. Asked that night & next day, told: "Idk anything about this/I'm the only one here." Not fixed in our 3 days. Room was dusty & WAY too small. Top bunk has no side guards but bottom has solid wood all around to floor, so anything dropped requires pulling heavy bunk out (2-3 person job). Not enough competition to motivate quality

Great vibe in the bar, easy to meet other travelers. Since you don't check in with a person, you don't get info about tours/activities and need to find out for yourself. Also strange that that advertise themselves as all age/family friendly since they seen out of place there. Overall my experience was great though! Wifi works, good food and drinks, great vibe, awesome location.

I really loved this hostel. The hostel bar next door has great drinks and food and is a great place to meet other travelers. Being right next to the Sacre Couer was amazing. So beautiful with great views. The hostel is also by a great area with a lot of restaurants. The sights are easy to get to via metro. Breakfast is just a croissant and bread, but they do have a coffee machine that can make cappuccinos and lattes. Staff are very kind and helpful!

One of the best hostels I've stayed in. Modern, comfortable rooms, nice breakfast, nice bar. It's only five minutes from the tram to the train station and even less to the station to all the sights. My only complaint was that the water in the sinks and showers felt slimy, so it was hard to feel clean. I originally filled up my water bottle from the sink and it did not taste right at all. Water from downstairs at the bar is fine though.

Cocomama was so great. My bed was SO comfortable (which goes a long way when you've been in hostels for months). Jet pack is a cool place in a cool (recently hipster gentrified) location, but it is rather far from the city center. Public transport is easy though and only about 10 min away. The vibe there is really fun, nice lounge area that a lot of people chill in. Plus a couple neighborhood cats come to say hi which is nice. There was a small roach and spiders in the shower, so be prepared for that. No hostel organized events and it's much more party than alternative. Staff were very kind and helpful.

Loved it here. Such a great vibe, fabulous staff, great common areas and facilities. Being able to actually have eggs for breakfast was so nice. The hostel has activities every day and great advice if you want to do stuff on your own. Lockers in room and under bed storage plus outlets for every bunk via surge protectors. Wifi was fickle but oh well. I have no doubt this hostel was a big part of what made my time in Prague so awesome. Thanks guys!

Wombats is awesome. Organized activities and tours, great chill out spaces including a full bar that serves pizza and other snacks. Our room could have fit another bunk bed but instead we had a lot of room which I appreciated. My only qualms were that there aren't showers outside of the rooms (so if someone is hogging the bathroom you just don't get to shower) and the wifi was very frustrating. It would show as being strong but just didn't work most of the time even after agreeing to the pop up.

Hi there! Thanks so much for your kind words! Actually, we do have additional showers on the 2nd floor, just ask for the key at reception. :) I won't comment on the wifi though. Read my other -plentiful- answers to different ratings. ;) Stay safe & happy travels!

My stay here was pleasant. The six person room is actually subdivided into thirds and no one else was in my bunk, so it was like I had my own room. While the main door to the entire room locked, the door to my cubicle space could only be locked from the inside when I was in there. They do have large lockers though (1/2 were broken, but since I was alone it was fine). Bathroom and shower were nice. Cafe downstairs has nice vibe, but hostel isn't a great places to meet people. By river though!

My stay here was pleasant. The hostel has relationships with various companies, so I didn't have to book paragliding in advance and I prepaid for a meal (for a less expensive price!) at a nearby restaurant. My only real qualms were that you had to pay for comp use (although maybe they've had problems with people not getting off in the past), it's not a great place to meet people (but you can go out of your way to make friends) and the bathrooms were kind of janky & 1/2 showers had no hot water.

Ostello Bello was one of my favorite hostels I've stayed in. They make everything super easy. Everything is clean and modern. The bar area where you can get food, drinks, and breakfast is actually a popular spot for locals too, so it's a fun vibe with live music in the evenings and quality food and drinks. Fabio and Dominico are so sweet and helpful. I loved the vibe of this hostel. It's a little far out from most sights but I walked everywhere anyway and the metro is only about 10 min away. They don't have much space, so the only common area is the kitchen which doesn't even have any tables. Only two bathrooms but that didn't cause any huge problems. We were fed pasta every night, which was nice.

HI :) yes of course you can walk everywhere, we are only 1 mile from colosseo :) the Secreat about the small common area is to make everybody together - when it is small for sure you have to meet all the others travelers - so in 5 years experience we discovered that :) our Goal is that you make friends and until now it worked - in the common area no table but Shelves so you have more space - we studied everything dont worry - See u in ROme again

The staff at this hostel are so nice and helpful. The hostel is within a 15 minute walk of anywhere you want to go. It's only a 15 minute walk from the Brignole train station but only if you use google maps and not the emailed directions, which is a longer and more complicated walk. Only two showers for everyone in the hostel should be problematic, especially given the lockout, but I never had an issue. Showers don't have much pressure. No common area other than kitchen and lobby. Spotty wifi.

This hostel was nice! Great location only two blocks from the promenade and just over 10 min walking from the train station. Nice common area with TV and computers, plus free breakfast. Staff was very nice and cleaning crew took care of our bathroom swiftly after the shower overflowed. There are "lockers" in your room but they are just small cubbies with plastic caging that you could rip with your bare hands if you really wanted to. Balcony in room and beds were very comfy. This hostel isn't in the greatest area; the neighborhood a little rough and about a 15 minute walk from the port. Nothing unmanageable though. Having a bar in the hostel was nice (only 1€/glass of wine), breakfast was worth the 5€. Nice common area! Room was clean but nowhere to lock up my stuff. Also, you leave/pick up your key at the front desk without any ID verification. We only had 2 keys and 3 outlets (counting the 1 in the bathroom) for 4 people. Little complaints aside, Vertigo was good!

My only qualm is that the rooms don't have locks and the locker you get is in the lobby and isn't large enough to hold an average pack, just your valuables. It wasn't a big deal though. The hostel's location in the Arabic market area is so great. The staff was nice and helpful. The backyard bar/terrace is nice. While they don't offer dinners they do offer nighttime activities you can pay to join. The bunk beds in the room were definitely an afterthought, blocking closets and not near outlets. Bottom bunks only had about 2ish feet of space so you can't sit on your bed and chill. Shower is not even 2x2 feet so if you're a bigger person I imagine showering would be difficult.

La Banda Rooftop Hostel, Seville, Spain

This is the best hostel I've ever stayed in. The rooftop has an amazing view and is a great place to hang out, plus that's where the DELICIOUS 6€ dinners and free breakfasts are served as well as a bar with plenty of creative drink options. Richie and Georgia make the effort to learn everyone's name and really make you feel at home. Great place to meet people, quickly access the sights, and just enjoy your time in Sevilla.

This hostel is overall very nice. Clean, modern but comfy common areas, great rooftop space! My biggest qualm was that wifi only worked in the indoor common areas and not in our room or the roof. The staff was very kind, fun, and helpful, especially when it came to helping me with my bus.

Thanks for your comment and letting us know about your wishes. We are sorting out the wifi as we speak. We are coming up with a great solution. :-) Hope to see you soon back at the house.

Home Lisbon Hostel, Lisbon, Portugal

Home Lisbon Hostel is nothing short of magical. Rooms are good - lower bunks have curtains. Showers are nice quality and clean. Location is prime. But what really sells this place are the people and the vibe. Mamma and her dinners are sublime. Great environment if you're traveling alone - feels like home with lots of love but also great community vibe to meet people. Hostel hosted tours of the city and Sintra are a must. Beware: This place will ruin all other hostels for you! PS: xoxo to Mamma!
