Hostel Hutteldorf, Vienna, Austria

23rd Jun 2015

I really enjoyed my time at Hostel Hutteldorf, which is a huge hostel conveniently located near a train stop. The hostel offers a free breakfast, which is an added bonus. The showers are clean but the water pressure isn't great, and there was never soap in the bathrooms. However, the bedrooms were nice and offered plenty of storage space.

Castle Hostel 1004, Bled, Slovenia

I was impressed with how clean this hostel was despite the huge number of travelers staying here. The staff was more than helpful and super friendly. The showers, kitchen, and common room were very nice and made me feel at home. However, the locker space was quite limited and there were a lot of rowdy people packed into my dorm, which made it feel a bit cramped in the room. Nonetheless, the staff and facilities were great, as was the location and proximity to markets and restaurants.

Nana's Rooms, Ljubljana, Slovenia

This hostel was a bit difficult to find coming from the train station, but once we arrived, we really enjoyed it. The place is beautiful and spacious and there are even curtains between bunk beds to give extra privacy. My main disappointment was the lack of storage lockers, which made me uncomfortable, but the large kitchen, vending machines, and clean bathroom facilities made up for it. Laundry is expensive so you may want to keep that in mind when staying here.

Mali Jago (MJ) Hostel, Zagreb, Croatia

Maju Jaya was a beautiful and clean hostel and my biggest regret is that I could only stay for one night! Fantastic showers with towels included, and large luggage lockers as well. Nice common room with computers and a big selection of DVDs to watch. Great kitchen as well, which I wish I had gotten to use more. Overall, a well-staffed, exceptionally clean hostel with a lot of fun, young travelers.

Mandarin Hostel Budapest, Budapest, Hungary
8.6
13th Jun 2015

I enjoyed my stay at Mandarin Hostel because of its central location and nice facilities. The hostel has a good atmosphere because lots of young travelers stay there and the common room is a great place to hang out and meet people. However, the aspects of my stay that I didn't like as much were the poor Wifi connection and some negative experiences with staff members. While some staff members were nice, others were blatantly rude. Also, the bathrooms were not cleaned during my stay.

Boutique Apartments Possonium, Bratislava, Slovakia

I absolutely loved my stay at Hostel Possonium! It is conveniently located right across from the train station, so you won't get lost trying to find the place. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helped me with everything from finding a nearby bank to operating the washing machine. The hostel's garden restaurant and bar is a great place to hang out at any time of the day (and breakfast is cheap!). Also, laundry and towels are free, which is a huge bonus. I highly recommend this hostel.

Hostel Fleda, Brno, Czech Republic
8.9
10th Jun 2015

Hostel Fleda is a nice, quiet hostel with friendly staff. The rooms are large and relatively private with not too many beds. There is a nice kitchen to prepare food in as well. When I stayed there in early June there were not many other travelers there so the hostel was quiet and relaxing. Overall, the facilities were slightly unclean and the location of the hostel wasn't that close to the city center, but it was a good value for the money and had charming balconies and common areas.

Czech Inn, Prague, Czech Republic
10.0
8th Jun 2015

I really enjoyed my time at Czech Inn and had no trouble sleeping well in the very comfortable beds. The showers are great and the bathrooms are quite clean. The facilities are very modern and there is a nice bar in the basement. The Wifi is not so great, however, and if you stay in one of the large dorms, as I did, it is likely that there will be a lot of rowdy people coming home late at night. However, the hostel itself was beautiful and offered very large storage boxes.
