The location is along an alley with lots of construction nearby. However it’s very close to the main road where there’s a convenience store and ATM nearby, as well as places to eat. It’s also close to white beach, less than 5 minutes away by foot. D’ Mall is less than ten minutes away. Facilities were clean, beds were comfy. They don’t have activities every night though. It was fun when they had activities, but pretty much dead when there wasn’t. Still a great place for budget travelers.

I was pleasantly surprised with this place considering the very cheap rate they’re charging for a dorm bed. Great location, lots of cheap places to eat nearby, the grocery store is just across the street. Kitchen facilities were complete, wifi was reliable, common areas were spacious, the staff were very friendly and helpful, and get this… they even have a small gym onsite! I managed to get a workout in lol. This is one hostel i’d highly recommend.

Pleasantly surprised with this place, considering the very cheap rate they’re charging. Beds were comfy, wifi is reliable. Staff were helpful. There’s a restaurant onsite and the food is fairly priced. Good location, Escalante is within walking distance, as well as a couple of shops and stores. I was really satisfied during my initial stay, i stayed here again before flying out of the country.

Awesome hostel in a perfect location. Close to Metro Stations, many attractions are within walking distance, lots of places to eat nearby. Great atmosphere, really easy to make new friends. Bar is open til 5AM. Facilities are good too. Wish they didn’t charge for luggage storage though.

It’s a fairly new hostel with great facilities. There’s AC in the dorm rooms which are switched on during the night— this is heaven sent in Caye Caulker. Wifi is reliable, all dorm rooms are secure. It’s not a party hostel and it gets quiet at times, so if you’re looking to party this might not be the place for you. The staff were real helpful. Only drawback, there’s only 2 toilets in the hostel for everyone. Always had to wait in line when I had to use the bathroom.

Facilities are pretty basic, but without a doubt this is the place to stay for backpackers in Caye Caulker. Great location, close to everything, awesome vibes all around, it’s real easy to make friends. When all bars are closed, this is where everyone hangs out. True enough when I had to transfer to another hostel because Bella’s was fully booked, I still ended up hanging out here. Will definitely stay here again if I ever go back to Caye Caulker.

This is a great place to stay in San Pedro! Great location, close to the port, right at the beach, with lots of places to eat within walking distance. Each dorm bed has individual electrical sockets, and the dorm rooms have AC! wifi was kinda iffy but mostly reliable. The restaurant downstairs serves delicious food. This is without a doubt the place to stay in San Pedro for travelers on a budget!

Great location in San Ignacio. It’s close to the center of town and the bus stop is just a 5 minute walk away. The staff is friendly and helpful. Great atmosphere too, real easy to make friends. Wifi is fast and reliable. Only wish there were more power sockets in each room, there’s not enough for everyone in each dorm room.

Not many options for backpackers in belize city, but this would do for a night, there’s nothing much to do in Belize city anyway. The location is great, located in a quiet part of the city. A couple of grocery stores are within walking distance. The bus station and ferry terminals are easy to reach, just take a public bus on the main road. Really really hot in the dorms without AC though, you might want to pay extra for the AC Dorms when the offer it upon check in.
Hi Jeremiah, thank you for your input. It was our pleasure to have you. Hope you are having a great time in Belize with your friend. Thank you!

This hostel was exactly what I needed after non stop partying in Bali. The location is perfect. Located in a quiet area in Canggu, yet still within walking distance to lots of shops, bars and restaurants. It’s brand new, everything is in great condition. The dorms and bathrooms were very spacious and clean. Wifi is free and reliable. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. Not much of a social atmosphere yet but that’s understandable. Things should pick up once word gets around on how good this host
Dear J, thank you for staying with us and for your kind feedback! We will work more on our atmosphere and bring more in-house activities soon, thank you for understanding. Have a great trip and hopefully see you again! Best regards, Setya Vasudha Team

An incredibly social hostel, it’s real easy to make new friends! Had tons of fun here, we had to extend our stay! Great location too, right smack in the center of Canggu. Couldn’t ask for more from the staff, they were all incredibly helpful and friendly! definitely the place to stay in the Canggu area, and i would definitely be back!

great location, it’s right where all the action is. It’s also a great choice if you wanna party. Facilities were great, i also like the choices for their free breakfast. The staff were a mixed bag. Most of them were really helpful but some clearly prioritized other guests. It’s also a huge hostel so it does get cliquey. Might not be a good choice for solo travelers who are shy. It’s also not the cheapest option in hanoi. Not saying it’s overpriced. Just that some cheaper places are just as good.

This is a really chill hostel! It's not a party hostel but it's easy to make friends! The owner makes it exceptional, he goes out of his way to help his guests and he treats everyone like family.. watch out for those seemingly unlimited rakia shots though :) can't complain about the facilities. beds were comfy, wifi was fast, and the AC in the rooms were working perfectly! Location is great too, about a 5-10 minute walk to the beach, and about 20 minutes by foot to the town center/ bus stop.

There are cheaper options in Bari, but I'd say the added cost is justified. The staff makes this place exceptional. They were all incredibly helpful and friendly. The location is great, really close to the train station and about 20-30 minutes by foot to the old town. Beds were comfy, and there's AC in the dorm room which is a must in Bari during the summer. I only wish there were more toilets though. 3 toilets are clearly not enough when the hostel is fully booked.

Overall it's a good choice in Malta. The staff were great, they were incredibly friendly and helpful. The bunk beds were comfy and each had individual power sockets. Wifi was fast and reliable. The location is kind of a mixed bag. It's in a residential area so it's quiet, but quite far from cheap places to eat and about a 30 minute walk away from the nightlife. If you want a more relaxed stay I'd recommend this hostel. Otherwise their sister hostel (Marco Polo Hostel) may be a better option.

Selina hostels are all over South America but I never stayed in one because they were often the most expensive. The one in Quito was unusually cheap so I decided to check it out. Facilities were top notch and the staff were excellent.it's more of a hotel actually. Very little atmosphere though,I guess that's why bunk beds were so cheap. great location if you want to be close to the nightlife. far from the historic center. one complaint: the bathroom design. Always gets flooded when anyone showers

Really social. it's not a huge hostel so it's easy to meet people. staff were really friendly and helpful too. It's not at the center of town but everything is still within walking distance. i found the tab system really convenient, it's not a problem as long as you keep track of what you're ordering. Beds were comfy, though I wish there were more electrical outlets in each room. wifi was good on the first floor, but gets spotty upstairs. also no kitchen facilities that guests can use.

Awesome place, great atmosphere, met lots of cool people here. Great location, right at the historic center so most attractions are within walking distance. easy to book tours because they have their own agency. really comfy beds and spacious dorm rooms. lockers are provided. I found the tab system really convenient, though i understand it's not for everyone. Would be great if they have kitchen facilities that guests can use. For that reason I can't recommend this place for budget travelers.

I'd recommend staying here if you're in the mood to party. really great atmosphere and staff, and they provide great tours too. Awesome location, close to most attractions. a few caveats though: it's an old building, so floors were very creaky. you can hear anyone walking outside, and lots of people check in after midnight. i wouldn't recommend this place for light sleepers. there are also not enough electrical outlets in the rooms, and a number of lockers were broken.

Great location, close to a metro station, a huge grocery store, and lots of bars and restaurants. The staff were great. The dining set up consists of just one huge table which made it easy to meet people. There were electrical outlets for every bed, though there weren't any lockers in the rooms. The ones provided outside were huge enough to fit my valuables though so it was okay. If i have one complaint it was that the wifi was slow and frequently spotty. had to go outside to do my online work.

Such a chill place! great location with awesome views. it's not at the center of town, but Salento is small so everything is still within walking distance. Wifi was great, I couldn't complain. The free breakfast was good. Rooms were spacious, there were electrical outlets right next to each bunk bed, and lockers were big enough to fit my backpacks. Kitchen facilities were adequate. The staff were kind of a mixed bag, but that's how it is in most hostels. I also wish there were more toilets outside

Great location, close to lots of restaurants and bars, and within walking distance to the old part of town. The free breakfast was good. The place is fairly new so facilities were top notch. Beds were really comfy, and the AC was functioning well. just seems weird that there seems to be no regular staff. When i came in there was no one in the common areas and I practically just walked in so that raises concerns about security. No individual lockers too. Most of the people who stay here are taking diving courses so you might feel left out if you're not diving. Not centrally located but it's about 25-30 minutes by foot to the center

This place was my refuge in Luxor. The location is great, it's really close to the bus/ train station, and there are lots of cheap places to eat nearby. The staff were awesome. Incredibly friendly and helpful. They even give you tips on how to handle the relentless touts and how to avoid scams. You can also book tours through the hostel, and their rates are even cheaper than those offered outside. I also loved the breakfast which was incredibly cheap. Best hostel in Luxor hands down.

It’s a brand new hostel, all facilities are top notch! Beds were very very comfy, there were sockets allotted for every bunk bed, light breakfast is included, the view is remarkable from the balcony, The common area is really chill, couldn’t ask for anything more really. Free breakfast, dinner, and laundry. Quite a bargain for backpackers.Great location too, just 2 minutes away by walking to the old town, about 15 minutes away to the bus station. Love the staff, they were all helpful and friendly. i just didn't like the way the manager tried to handle the problem that i reported. It's not a party hostel but they have activities every night to make the guests interact with each other and they do pub crawls as well. recommended for those looking for a chill place.

first and foremost it's a party hostel, one of the rowdiest ones I've stayed at so if you plan to get a good night's sleep i suggest staying elsewhere. great atmosphere, they have their own bar and they have activities every night so it's easy to make friends. great location, right at the center of the old town. Definitely the best hostel I’ve stayed in. I’ll run out of space if I mention specifics. Basically, this place is home. The entire staff is your family. These are the reasons why this place is always fully booked, and almost everyone keeps extending their stay (i extended my stay twice). If you ever plan to visit Mostar, this is the place to stay. In fact I’m really tempted to return to Mostar just to see my Bosnian family again. Thanks for everything guys! Hope to see everyone again soon!

Great first impression. They'll pick you up for free at the bus station, and they serve free snacks and juice upon checking in. the location is in a quiet residential area located uphill about 20-30 minutes from the old town. No problem walking to the old town, but can be quite a chore going back. They have complete kitchen facilities and the entire hostel is very clean. The staff were all helpful. A few minor gripes: the dorms are pretty cramped, and i wish they provided individual lockers.

Had so much fun here! I knew this place is a party hostel so I totally knew what I was getting myself into! Yeah it gets noisy, but what else would you expect in a party hostel? Awesome staff, great facilities, fast wi fi, awesome atmosphere! loved the food at their resto too! The location is great, about a ten minute walk from Pub Street. I'd love to give a perfect score, but guys the toilets need to be cleaned more often! toilets get absolutely filthy late at night and early morning. :(

Perfect location, right at the center of town. staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, they'd gladly help you with everything you need. Glad that there's AC, such a lifesaver in Airlie Beach. Place is kinda run down though, bunk beds were real creaky. Kitchen is also too small, there's always a lot of people waiting to use kitchenware around dinner time. Also, no individual lockers inside each room. They do provide lockers near the reception area, but it's kind of a hassle to keep going back.

Didn't like Colombo at all, this hostel was the saving grace. There are cheaper options in the city but you get your money's worth at this hostel. The location might not be ideal for some since it's quite far from the bus station, attractions, and cheap eats, but it's in a quiet part of the city and that's a huge plus for me. The city can be overwhelming at times and it's great to have a oasis to come home to. Comfy beds, clean bathrooms, great staff, awesome free breakfast. Definitely a 10.

There are lots of cheaper options in Mirissa, but you do get what you pay for at JJ's. Definitely felt like a luxury hostel. Really comfy beds in air conditioned rooms. Dorm beds with individual sockets. Bathrooms that look like ones you'd find in luxury hotels. Really chill common areas. Great location too, only about a 5 minute walk to the beach. Friendly and helpful staff. I do wish it was a bit cheaper so that I could have extended my stay lol, but I definitely got my money's worth at JJ's.

Such a bargain in Kandy. For such a cheap price you get so much bang for your buck. It's close to the train station, about a 10 minute walk but it's hard to find at first, mainly cause Google Maps gives you the wrong route (use Maps.me app instead). Not a big hostel so it's easy to make friends. the common area is really chill. And the owners are really nice people. not satisfied about security though. no individual lockers and anyone could easily enter the rooms cause they don't give keys.

For 5 bucks a night for a dorm bed, it's gonna sound like I'm nitpicking if I say something negative (ok... the bathrooms don't look too clean). If you keep your expectations in check and if you consider the fact that you're only paying 5 bucks then you'll find this place great. it's quite a long walk to the town center so the location might not be ideal for some, but there's a grocery store nearby. best part of staying here is the caretaker Latha who treats all the guests as her own children.

This is a great choice for Negombo. It's a new hostel so the facilities are top notch. comfy beds with individual lockers and power outlets, fast and reliable wifi, and air conditioning inside the rooms which is a blessing in humid Negombo. The staff may not be fluent in English but they were so nice, and the owner was extremely welcoming. One con would be the location which is in a residential area. Quite a walk to the beach and attractions, and quite hard to find cheap places to eat nearby.

It's quite new so I've nothing to complain about regarding the facilities. The location is close to a lot of bars and clubs but far from most attractions in Berlin. The nearest Metro station is also about 10-15 minutes away by walking. Not a long walk, but could be quite a hassle when it's raining. also this hostel may not be ideal for budget travelers since you can't cook your own food within the premises. free breakfast is included though. It's not a huge hostel so it's easy to make friends.

Cheap options during Oktoberfest are pretty limited. The best option for budget travelers would be to stay at a campsite. It gets really cold at night so this is not an option for people who don't like camping. If you get over that fact, this camp site is pretty good. The bathroom and shower facilities were surprisingly good, though quite a walk from the camp site itself. It's easy to get to the Oktoberfest site but it takes about 20 minutes by metro. other camp sites are closer.

Great hostel. It's centrally located, quite far from the bus station (took me 30 minutes by walking) but otherwise close to all the nearby attractions. they don't serve free breakfast but they do have kitchen facilities. Seems to be the only Hostel in Burgas, good thing it's remarkably cheap. Location is perfect. Close to the beach, a short 5 minute walk to the bus and train stations. They serve free breakfast too. Not sure about security, seems like anyone could get in at night. They also have 3 dogs. I loved em, but some people may not like having dogs roaming around their rooms. Not much of an atmosphere, seems like almost everyone kept to themselves.

Even if this place was a dump, i'd still give this hostel a good review because of the incredibly cheap price. good thing it was actually good! I loved the location. Right by the beach, and close to several bars and clubs. it's not close to the center of town but you can easily get there by bus since there's a bus stop right outside the hostel. Great location, within walking distance to most attractions in Athens and there are lots of cheap places to eat nearby. Also near the Metro. Breakfast is free which is always good. AC wasn't working when i was there though, got really hot at night. WiFi is pretty useless most of the time, better buy a local sim. And i have to agree with everyone else. Although the bathrooms are huge, the shower areas are remarkably small. I think even a child would find it difficult to take a shower.

Beds were comfy, wi fi was reliable, breakfast was okay, the entire place was kept clean, the staff were nice . Nothing really wrong with this hostel, it's just that it's pretty basic. Best part is the location. It's right smack in the center of town, everything you'll ever need would only be a few steps away. Worst part is the price. There are newer and better places to stay in El Nido and you won't have to pay as much. At its present state they have to charge way less to stay competitive.

Still a work in progress since there's still some construction going on, but it wouldn't really bother you. A bit far from the center of town so you'd have to take a trike every time you need to buy stuff or need extra cash, otherwise the location is great. There's always an amazing view of the sunset and the beach is right in front of you. Dorm beds are also cheap, food is kinda overpriced though but that's typical in El Nido. Can't complain about the staff, they were all amazing.

Comfy beds, great central location, close to everything in town. Friendly staff, common areas are kept really clean. Prices of alcoholic drinks in the in house bar are fairly priced. Also there is FREE UNLIMITED HIGH SPEED WIFI! There are daily activities each night which promotes a social vibe, otherwise guests would pretty much keep to themselves (not the hostel's fault). it's one of the cheapest places to stay in Rotorua too, so staying here is a no brainer.

I couldn't really ask for anything more for a hostel. Beds were really comfy with individual sockets for each one. There's free 1GB wi fi daily which is more than enough, and frankly free wifi is rare in hostels in New Zealand. The shared kitchen is huge, you won't wait long even during peak hours. There are laundry facilities in house which is also convenient. As for the location, it is centrally located and near the bus station. Several attractions are also within walking distance.

i loved the atmosphere in this hostel, and it's really easy to meet people. Can't complain about the staff, they were all awesome. that pool is an added bonus. it's such a welcome sight after a long trek, and i imagine it's an even bigger hit during the summer months. I would've given a perfect score, but there simply aren't enough lockers for everyone in the dorms, and that raises some security concerns. Also there aren't enough electrical sockets for everyone, and that's kind of a hassle.

Great Location with a party atmosphere. it's right smack in the center of town, near bus stops and a lot of restaurants. it's a party hostel so it gets real noisy even at night. A good time is ensured if you're looking to party. Would be hard to get a good night's sleep if you need it. perfect location, right smack in the city center and close to the metro stations. Cheap dinner is served on some nights, and i loved the Pub crawls. It gets uncomfortably hot in the dorm rooms during the afternoon though. Not asking to turn on the AC all day, but it would be nice to put a fan in those rooms since it gets scorching hot in Madrid during the summer until late September. Overall, still a great hostel.

Looks more like a boutique hotel, it's amazing how this is one of the cheapest hostels in Seville. Every area looks spick and span, and they have free dinner on some nights which was a lifesaver for me. I love how the bunks offer some sort of privacy. Oh man, where do i start? JJ's yard is the place to stay in Lagos! It's not a big place, and that makes it easier to make friends with everyone in the hostel! it has all the basics. beds are comfy, all areas are kept clean, individual security safes are provided, and the washer is free to use! it's easy to schedule activities like kayaking. Pub crawls are held every night, and each one is epic even on weekdays. The best part though, are the owners and the staff. They will treat you like family.

Awesome location, near the metro and right smack in the city center. It's not a party hostel yet it's so easy to meet people, i'd recommend it to any solo traveler. Don't miss dinner when they offer it on some nights for some home cooked Portuguese Cuisine. Lockers are provided, breakfast is included too. The fact that you get all these in one of the cheapest hostels in Lisbon makes staying here quite a bargain.
Uepá J., thanks a lot for taking some time to review us and letting the others travellers know that we promote some activities where people can meet and make good friends. We party and get wild but always in a respectful way. Probably that is why everyone fits so well in the atmosphere that we create. Hope most of the solo travellers like you to have the same opinion ;-) Also loved your last sentence. It is a massive recognition of the value of our work. Big Hug from Lisbon J.and please stop by more times. João

First off, place is beautiful. Great location as well, just a block from the beach. Kind of in a shady part of Rio, but people seemed friendly. kitchen staff wasn't as friendly as those in the front desk. seems like they're giving you a favor just by talking to you. the beds and pillows are definitely the most uncomfortable ones i have slept in. felt as if i was sleeping on the floor and using a rock as a pillow. I can tolerate most things, but an uncomfortable bed is unforgivable for a hostel.

Awesome location, a stone throws away from Lapa which is the center of night life in Rio. Very near public transport, lots of cheap places to eat nearby, also right across a pharmacy and very close to a grocery store. i really love the place. Feels more like a college dorm than a hostel, so it's not for everyone. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a fun time. Hats off to Felipe, I've never met anyone who is as hands on as he is. Wish i could have stayed for a few more days!

Great place. very clean, comfy beds. Quite far from the falls but the location is good. it's near a grocery and ATMs, and there are cheap places to eat nearby. Also near the bus stop to the falls. Staff was amazing, really friendly and helpful. Breakfast was awesome. Rooms are spacious, I only wish lockers were provided inside instead of outside. Highly recommended for anyone looking for cheap accommodations in Iguassu.

awesome location, but earplugs are a necessity. it's in front of a noisy road, and the place is really cramped, you can hear anyone in the common areas since it's very close to all to the rooms. staff was amazing though, and the place is probably the cheapest hostel in Lima. breakfast was good as well. Just make sure to bring ear plugs if you're a light sleeper.

It's an old building that's renovated. looks fairly new, yet it maintains a classic charm. it's one of the more expensive hostels in Cusco, so I expected more. I love the fact that there are individual sockets inside the lockers but mine was busted during our first stay. They also lack keys for each room. First time I had to share keys with a friend, second time they ran out of keys. worst thing happened on our last night. Place ran out of water, toilets stank and took them hours to fix it.
Hello thank your for your comment, we are always cleaning the bathrooms and all of our facilities, we'll look into this matters and also about the key issue, about the water running out it was a problem with the city water company that we already took care of it. Kind Regards Front Desk Manager.

Man, this place is awesome. Great atmosphere, clean rooms, really comfy beds and pillows, awesome bar... I can't believe it's one of the cheapest hostels in Cusco! Now, if you want peace and quiet, I'd advise you to look elsewhere. Otherwise, there's no other place to stay in Cusco. I can't recommend this place enough, I wish i stayed here the entire time i was in the area!

One of the cheapest places in Lima, which is the main reason why i booked a few nights here. Awesome atmosphere as well, not hard to make friends. had a bit of trouble at first when the taxi pick up service I arranged didn't show up at the airport, but the staff was extremely helpful during my stay. Lockers are provided, which is great since a lot of people were using our room as a short cut to the common area. Ideal location. close to everything you need, and far from the sketchy areas of Lima.

This hostel is close to perfection. The staff is very helpful, all areas are clean, and the aesthetics make it seem like a boutique hotel hybrid. beds are comfy, WiFi is reliable and free, rooms have air conditioning. Each bed comes with a big locker that would fit most backpacks. The location is ideal as well. Centrally located, right next to the main train station in Taipei, and there's a mall right in front of it where you can buy whatever you need. Highly recommended for budget travelers.

Such an awesome hostel. Awesome location (near restaurants, grocery stores, atms, bars etc) awesome rooms, awesome food, awesome common areas, awesome bar, awesome owners, awesome staff! Well to be honest not everything is awesome. At times the wifi internet is almost non existent. But who needs internet when there's so much awesome sauce going around. Just take note of that if you need it for work. Otherwise, this is a Highly recommended hostel! Arguably the best one in Livingstone!

Stayed here twice. Great hostel with nice facilities. Wifi was surprisingly fast (for Africa standards). Pool was clean, and the communal area is spacious. Location is good, walking distance from a nearby mall with all the essentials, also it is very near the bus station. Everyone on the staff was really helpful. Not too sure about cleanliness though. I personally saw cleaning ladies who just made up the beds without changing sheets before my new room mates came in. So much for hygiene.
Thanks for your feedback. The wifi is from Lusaka's new fibre optic cable and has been very reliable. Thank you for your observations and honesty on the cleanliness, this was identified not long after your visit and has been rectified with a new cleaner and checking of cleaning regime. All linen is washed after use and beds are changed between visitors, and all rooms are sprayed regularly for bugs.

First a disclaimer. This hostel is no longer run by british students, so i can't compare my experience from the ones before. In spite of the change in management everything still seems to be in order. Beds were a bit hard, some rooms were uncomfortably hot, but you can turn a blind eye thanks to the great staff. Kudos to Mohamed for keeping things in order. Loved my stay here, wish i could go back soon!

I really love this place. Rooms were clean, the atmosphere was great. The way they set up the hostel is ideal for interacting with fellow travelers. The wifi was also surprisingly really fast, something that's not common in hostels. To those complaining about the place, try doing some research first before complaining. If you want peace and quiet, this isn't your hostel. It's just wrong to give a low rating based on personal preferences. I felt so at home here, i wish i could've stayed longer.

Price was cheap, great place for meeting fellow travelers, room was clean, and best of all it's easy to find. That's a major plus point in the labyrinth that is the fes medina. Highly recommended.
