Clean, good facilities, no5 much atmosphere when I was there bu5 managed to meet a couple of other solo travellers to hang out with. Only warning wouod be not to trust the staff for booking trips e.g.boat tours -they seriously over-inflate the prices, presumably so they get a cut. If you want to do a boat tour, wander the harbour and book direct!

Friendliest hostel with the kindest staff! Really is like a home away from home! Close to the hill for sunrise/sunset balloon viewing. Clean and quiet so you can get a good nights sleep too

A lot of reviews suggest this is a mad party hostel but it is the perfect mix of chilled vibes in the daytime and fun/party vibes in the evening. Staff are really friendly and helpful and know a lot about the city. Really comfy beds!

Nice hostel. Comfy beds with big storage unit. Lovely, super clean bathrooms. Friendly staff & great breakfast options. Also a kitchen & large eating area for those who are self-catering. I didn't feel it was as easy as some places to meet others to hang out with, maybe as it's such a big place, or maybe because there were already quite a few groups already formed/travelling together when I was there. Also quite far from the main sites (about 1.5miles) but would still recommend
Thanks for your lovely review! We are very happy to hear you enjoyed your time here with us :) We're very sorry to ear that it was hard to meet people, we always try to organize activities to bring everyone together! Cheers from Oasis Team

Great hostel with lots going on. Free sangria every evening, happy hour, self-serve breakfast for €2 and dinner (with veggie options) for €3. Comfy beds with decent sized lockers but having stayed twice I must say, they rooms do vary. Self-catering kitchen and dining/chill out spaces. The communal bathrooms always had used towels dumped everywhere -could do with checking more regularly. Right next to the historic centre but about 1mile to the beach. Stayed twice during my trip & would recommend

Drugs on the bed in the dorm when I arrived. Reported to receptionist who removed them but didn't speak to the guests involved. In over a year of travelling it's the first time I've witnessed this-does nothing to make a solo female traveller feel safe. Would not stay again. There was no atmosphere-guests stuck to themselves and nothing to encourage people to integrate. Wouldn't stay again.

Love love love love LOVE this place! The staff, the atmosphere, the food! Awesome place! Comfiest hostel beds I’ve EVER slept in and super secure huge drawer space for valuables etc. Hot showers too! The food is well worth paying for-it’s restaurant quality! Lots of info on trips and things to do and the staff all speak excellent English :-) Cant rate this place highly enough! Just wish I’d also booked to stay in the Quito one! Thanks for everything! Miss you guys!xx

VERY strange atmosphere on arrival-was told I couldn't use my phone if sitting with the group! (I only asked for WiFi password so I could let my family know I was safe after long journey!!). This was made worse by other guests who were also volunteers and rather overbearing-when they weren't around it was ok. Mixed feelings about this place-its well placed for the markets.

Love this place so much I came all the way back from Cuenca because I missed everyone! The staff are THE BEST! The atmosphere is great-not insanely crazy but enough to meet people and have a great time, party if you want or just relax! Beds couldn’t be comfier and instant hot water in the showers. Massive storage under the beds to lock valuables away. Breakfast and dinner is AMAZING! Gonna miss you guys! Thanks especially to Maggie and Clarissa-you girls are great. Muchas besos xxx

Stayed here twice and would highly recommend. Santiago was kind enough to show me round the old town when I first arrived which made me feel welcome straight away :-) You can choose to either chill out (pool table, Netflix or soon-to-be heated pool!) or party with a group from the hostel-mojito nights/bar crawls etc. Good thing is that after midnight there’s no noise so you can get a good nights sleep too :-) Sabine and Santiago have a wealth of knowledge so can help you plan your travels/trips

Good location, hostel felt safe and staff tried to make people feel welcome-even putting on an impromptu salsa/reggaeton lesson! My phone (which I use for my alarm) was broken when I was there and the receptionist kindly woke me so I didn't miss my early morning bus! Breakfast simple but plenty of it and the view is great!

Moved from another hostel to be closer to the centre and the beach. Nice hostel but slightly over priced. Good self serve breakfast. Comfy beds, spacious dorms. Cold shower (not an issue when it's so hot outside!) Bar upstairs (couldn't hear from room but I was on first floor) computers and printing are useful!
Dear guest, we don't have a bar upstairs or a second floor nor breakfast!. I think you are confused, but thanks for the review anyways! here's an E for efford!

First stay here, not much atmosphere between travellers but it's a small hostel and the others here were already in a group. Quite hostel. Great location about 5minutes walk from old town but one street away from good nightlife. Good breakfast but small portions.

Some of the best staff in 11 months travelling the world! The girls cannot do enough to help and I cannot rate them highly enough! Thank you both for answering my endless questions! (& I'm sorry for bringing the rain clouds! ;-) haha). Comfy beds, best showers with super high pressure! Great location a couple of streets from everything you could want. Great breakfast, kitchen area for self catering. Highly recommend and thanks again!x

Lovely hostel and great to have a small pool area! Good location about half way between bus station and beach-easy walking distance to both (even with super heavy backpack!!) Only annoying thing was not having any info about Olympic torch going through the town-surely that's a real tourist highlight? Also the guy who worked the night I was there really didn't seem interested. When I asked about sights to see I was told "theres bars and shops what more could you want?!"...not helpful at all!
Hello Kay. You made a mistake in the hostel evaluation, our hostel has not pool here on the Big Island have only as a means of transport boats. We not have bus station on Big Island. It was hosted in welcome surf hostel on 24 and 25 July the olympic torch passed here on the Big Island on 28 julho.periodo one in which you were no longer here at the hostel. we are very sorry that you were wrong in our revil. a lot of health and peace luck in your life WSH

Loved this hostel!Staff are fantastic!Happy, friendly, helpful & full of energy! Common area good for meeting people & drinks reasonable price. Kitchen needs more crockery&cutlery but no major issue! Some dorms are in a seperate building right over the road so extra quiet. Only negative is that despite being cleaned 3 times per day it's half hearted and so floors are still dirty/sandy (I appreciate its hard to get rid of sand but even more so when not fully swept and mopped!) Highly recommend!
Hey Kay ! thank you very much for the comments ! Cheers

Great hostel, great location for visiting the falls. Your to Argentinian side good price and cheaper to book boat ride with them than at park. Comfy beds good showers but seriously need to sort out the locks on the doors, especially in mixed dorm! Could also use a hook in shower, people don't want to walk out naked into mixed shared bathroom! Fantastic facilities kitchen & bar area super! Have and would recommend!

Great location! Even though it's a "party hostel" it is possible not to get involved if that's what you choose (ie not too noisy). Staff happy to help, great English etc. Good choice for breakfast, comfy beds, bathroom is a bit damp but not a problem. Tours through hostel highly inflated (at least double what I paid elsewhere if not more!) 3 computers for guest use are very useful. Would (& have) recommend

On arrival the German owner was extremely rude to my friend despite him considering staying there he was basically made to leave, it meant I felt u comfortable and my friend felt racially insulted! However, after staying several days I think this may have been an "off day" as I didn't witness anything like this again. The weekly curry/BBQ nights are a great way for everyone to get together. Well equipped kitchen, short walk uphill from centre but not too far out

Great place! Emailed to say I was arriving at 6am& asked if I could use showers etc before check in & had response almost immediately. On arrival, was able to sleep on sofa in lobby for a couple of hours then as bed was ready, check in early! Bonus! Hottie McHotson (didn't get his name) on reception was super helpful. All staff/volunteers have great English. Advertised as "a party hostel" but don't let that put you off-it's as chilled or party-like as you make it. Thanks for Pisco Elqui tip!

Can't fault this place! Centrally located and only a short walk/metro to everywhere you'd want to see. Small enough to meet people. Kitchen gets "cosy" at busy times but it's not an issue. Staff speak great English. Fab free breakfast. Cleaned several times a day. Ask about the nights out-this isn't advertised anywhere so you only find out via other guests. Would be good to have more info on the walls about things to see & do-all the slots upstairs for this are empty.

Perfect for arriving from long distance bus as this is literally across the road from where it stops! Greatful for being able to check in and get in bed at 7am! Hostel is about 40minutes walk from the main sights (opera house, bridge etc) but there is a tram/train over the road should you not want to walk. Lockers big enough to hang clothes/store valuables but won't fit backpacks. Hairdryers in bathrooms are an added bonus
Hi there, Thanks for your review and feedback. I am pleased that my reception team were able to get you straight into a room after your overnight bus into Sydney! Glad you liked the hairdryers in the ladies bathrooms. I only had these installed two weeks ago so you were one of first to use them. Cheers Dev Penney - GM

My second time in Melbourne and this was in SUCH a better location Slap-bang in the centre so perfect for arriving from the station and easy to sight-see/shop/party. Reception staff are lovely and helpful. Lockers in dorms, huge kitchen and common areas dotted around for socialising. Would recommend.

For me this hostel felt too big & difficult to meet new people. The staff were very helpful and welcoming. Hostel is about 10mins walk from the river but to get to the main centre is 20-30minutes. I stayed a second time in Melbourne and for the same money was slap-bang in the centre so I guess it depends what you're after. There was a locker big enough for both day pack and big backpack, clean bathrooms etc

Right in the centre. Relaxed atmosphere. Really useful to have use of a computer and the common area with DVDs and comfy sofas was a welcome addition. Comfy beds, clean hostel with good shower. Breakfast included (eggs, toast, jams etc). No lockers if that's something that bothers you. People had stayed there days and left personal items on the bed whilst on day trips etc and nothing went missing so felt perfectly safe.

Awesome place! 5 mins from the beach and main bars, pool and fab staff! Chris does a great job at getting everyone involved (which is a bonus for single travellers), Mr Myanmar at the bar is adorable and the guy on reception is the friendliest, most helpful and thoughtful receptionist I've met in 7months of travel. Great place! Thanks to all x

New forms and very clean. Proper digital safety deposit boxes free of charge with each bed. Comfy beds. At the far end of town so if you want to party you have quite a long way back at the end of the night. Found it difficult to meet people here, not much going on. The staff are helpful but don't go out of their way to give you info etc. Best part was the lovely Samatha cafe down the street-a must visit!

I had two stays during my time I Bangkok. Lovely owners/staff (with a cute little dog too). Personal lockers right by reception, no entry for non-guests so rooms are safe. Perfect distance from the craziness of Kao San Road for you to take or leave it. No chance of bed bugs as the pillows/mattress are leather coated-clever! Very clean. I had important post delivered here and they happily kept it for me until I arrived-thank you :-)
Thanks dear for all your kind words for us. We are very happy to see that our services makes you happy. This really helps us to give the best to our guests. Thanks again and stay well. Love to see you again here. :)

Big difference between mixed dorm and female dorm rooms-female much nicer but mixed was good too, just not as cosy. Staff super helpful including offering personal tiger balm oil for my bad mozzie bites and letting me choose which bunk because I was suffering with my back! Thank you so much! (Forgotten your names sorry! :-/ ) No one seemed to use bar area upstairs so not the best place if you're looking to party/meet new people but would still highly recommend

Lots going on here from chill out in the "movie room" to partying in the bar/pool. Staff are helpful and info from hostel is plentiful. Rooms sociable and lockers big enough for large backpack plus day pack. Walking distance from palace (worth the money for a guide!) but seems a fair way out of centre if you want to go for food/drinks at night and hostel prices are expensive and portion sizes small
Dear Value guest, Thank you so much for choosing to stay with us at Lovely Jubbly Villa Hostel. We thank you again for sharing your experiences at our hostel and you had enjoyed our hotel's service and staff. But we were not appreciate if you compared our good food with the street food that was not nice atmosphere, bad hygiene...I would like to inform future guest if you need tasty food with AC, good hygiene, value for money..please ask our menu or test.

Good location-10 minute walk from main area. Expensive food and drink compared to other hostels though. The noise was mentioned a lot & had to sign something on arrival about it but wasn't a problem at all and the little you can hear ends at midnight. Good hostel but not the cheapest

Here for Chriatmas and came back for New Year! This is more like a hotel with some dorm rooms than a hostel! Staff are really welcoming, had multiple free drinks with comments like "don't dry out in the heat/happy new year etc..." Really sociable down by the pool and in bar area & met some awesome people. Being a tuk tuk ride from main area has pros and cons-if you're looking for bars on your doorstep this isn't for you

A little walk from main streets-could've done with better directions from bus station as no one knew where it was! Lots of things to do here-small swimming pool, basketball court, hammock/chill out area, however, found it fairly hard to meet people (maybe because it's so spread out) & staff barely acknowledged you standing at the bar waiting to be served. I was sick with the bug that was going round &those beds are the worst! Mattress only about an inch thick. No flushing toilets in rooms either

Began to feel like home! Nice to have tea and coffee on tap (small charge) and a decent sized social area with sofas and TV/films available. Also great to have the chalk board to arrange outings with others :-) A little further from old town than I'd like but only 10 mins walk or super cheap in red taxi

Long way from the centre but not bad once you've got bearings. No lockers, staff not interested and didn't find them helpful with travel arrangements so booked through another hostel! Not enough bathrooms so long queues in morning and I've never seen as many mosquitos in any other bathroom! Bins weren't emptied very often-beer bottles stood in bathroom from one night to the next. Breakfast is very slow so allow plenty of time

Arrived mid afternoon & hostel was quiet, the owner came & joined me for a chat-excellent English & very interesting...impressed me as in most hostels the people on reception often don't seem talkative/interested in the people staying there! Had no problems with people waking me up as I'd read in other feedback-it's the same as any other hostel. There is cleaning being done seemingly non-stop, breakfast is better than a lot of places I've stayed. Definitely a hostel you feel "at home" in! :-)
we happy for your enjoy stay thanks you for feedback

Wow! The staff absolutely make this place! They all learn your name, show interest in your day & your travels, speak superb english and bend over backwards to help you! Add to this a great atmosphere and free beer 6-7pm...what more could you ask for?! Well...I left my iphone on charge at reception when I checked out and I didn't realise until 30mins into collecting everyone for night bus-the girls had dropped it off at the bus office for me already! AMAZING! Thankyou so much for all your help!!

Absolutely amazing staff! Always smiling and always more than happy to help-fantastic spoken English too! Arrived without knowing where I was heading in Vietnam and was given trip ideas (without being sold to!) and help with buses etc. I sadly had my bag snatched whilst I was out and even manager was notified and offered apologies and support. Rooms very clean, comfy and secure. Already recommended to others. Thank you so much for all your help!

Spent less than 24 hours in Chongching but hostel was lively and clean, despite arriving late we were helped to put a load of washing in and to plan Yangtze cruise for next day. I was helped to book and plan the rest of my China travels-couldn't have asked for more! Huge thanks to all the staff 😊

Worst hostel I stayed in in one month in China! We were a mixed group of 3 so booked mixed dorm but on arrival hostel separated us! The worst was the bathroom which stank and the toilet leaked waste from the bottom when you flushed it so there was poop all over the shower floor...that's IF the toilet flushed!! the room was freezing (electric blankets were very welcome!) and the common area lacked any vibe at all! Only plus is relative closeness to the park.

Extremely helpful staff with brilliant English. Small lockers in room (doesn't fit big backpack) and alarm on door so you know if anyone has entered. En suite is lovely and plenty of hot water 24/7! Only 2 mins walk from subway. Felt really "at home" here, thank you 😊
Thank you for your good review that showed us that our hostel is your home and you had a nice stay here, we are very appreciated ans hope you can coem. Booked a 4 bed female dorm, put in mixed dorm & staff were very reluctant to move me. There was no hot water, no heating (it was 7°) and the drains stank! their solution to the lack of hot water was for me to use the communal shower 200m away despite the fact its advertised 24/7! Food was like a cheap microwave meal. Limited English & staff too busy chatting with friends to help properly! Worst hostel so far in China!
