Great hostel, we stayed in a private room and it was amazing, hotel like, the only problem was that the bathroom smelled a little when we arrived, but was easily solved. The staff were amazing, Gustavo was specially helpful lending us beach chairs and a sunshade. Really the best part of the hotel. The only problem with this hostel, and with all punta del este, is that is really expensive. For the rate of our room we could have stayed in a normal hotel in any other country in south america.

It´'s a party hostel, don´t doubt it. It´'s no te hostel to go if you want to get to know machu picchu, wake up every day at 6:30 AM and take the tours (something you will do if you are in a hurry and are somewhat cultured). We took the hostel not knowing that (our bad, we took references and didn´'t read reviews) and we ruined our sleep with the parties happening just below our room, but the place was clean, cheap (as all of cusco that is dirt cheap), and the staff were really helpful.

Let's start with the good things first: The location of the hostel is very near the red light district and the central rail station. Excellent location. Bad things are: Very bad ventilation, smelly rooms Unhelpful staff, there were some guys that where very annoying in the room and the did nothing One shower was broken, ended up with 3 showers for 40 people. Most of the time the floor of the bathroom was wet Very little ambiance, no common room Facilities are a dirty kettle and a microwave

We were renewing showers, sorry about that, all is good now :)

Depending on what you are looking for this might come as a bad thing but this is a really quiet place. It isnt very close to the city center, but very close to the main metro station. The hostel doesn't have a 24 hour reception, so if you arrive early and want to leave your stuff, or you loss your key it up to the people who might be inside to open the door for you. The kitchen doesn't have a toaster nor a stove, just a water boiler and a microwave, so not a place to save money by cooking.

Not cool at all. The property was clean, and the facilities where well equipped, but that's about it. It was located 20-30 minutes away from all major attractions walking, so keep that in mind, but worst thing was the atmosphere and the staff. One of the receptionist/cleaning lady was very rude to us, and on the night there were complaints about noise from a group of 4 having dinner at 9pm. They were also very bothered because we invited people from outside (2) to dine with us. Not a coolHostel

Is forbidden bring people that not belong to the guest list of the hostel , you bring 2 and drink a lot , dont have any respect for the other guests and the hostel , and WORST bring a girl that not belong to the hostel to sleep in a shared room without ask to staff if is possible or not to dont pay...Bad Guests

Incredible place. The kitchen was better than the one in my house fully equipped with all. The rooms where big and clean, the beds were incredibly comfortable. Just good things to say about it. Also the location was kind of good. The price we paid for a place like this is ridiculous, too awesome to believe it.

Very good hostel. The rooms are not so big, but clean and you have your own locker. It is right in the middle of everything, it even has one supermarket just across the street. The people we met here were also awesome, and the people who worked here too. The kitchen was mediocre at best, that's the only bad thing I can say about this place.

The place is really cool. It tries to resemble a palace, or a fancy building and it does. The best thing was the people. From the people staying there to the dudes that worked in the bar and reception everyone was super cool, we had a great time and met some awesome people. The only problem was that the bathroom smelled as glue, a very strong smell, and since it had no ventilation the rooms also did. The kitchen was nice.

The hostel is located very near the Alhambra. Actually is the one that's the nearest. The staff is awesome. Filipo was really cool, he even gave us watermelon and beer, very cool guys. The rooms are very spacious and our bathroom was big and very very clean. Awesome hostel, one of the better places we have stayed.

The location, and the people were awesome. The hostel's bar was good, but not too much ambience. The facilities were mediocre at best. The bathroom had no ventilation at all, and the rooms smelled funny. The ac worked great on the rooms, but was usually turned off in the reception.

The rooms are too small for 4 people. Is a struggle between suffocating with windows closed and a/c on, or leaving the windows open and making the a/c work all the time against the 38° that are outside. The hostel is near the museums, but about 15 minutes walking from the nightlife. The pub crawl I did had only 5 people on it, so not a very animated crowd I would say. Finally, the kitchen is very small and my food got stolen. If I go again to Madrid I would choose another hostel.

Be careful with the shower (hot water) and the stairs climbing. The reception is located in the center of Rio maggiore, but to actually reach the dorm you have to climb a lot of stairs. You CANNOT pay with credit card if you are staying at the dorms. And nobody seems to be in charge of the hostel. Thank God the group staying at the hostel was super nice, and we cleaned the place and figured out a way to turn on the hot water. It's nice to be in the cinqueterre, but you spect someone in charge.

Just stayed there for one night to catch my plane the next morning. The people working there were very helpful, if I go to London again it surely where I will go, because there is nothing cheaper.

Nothing impressive. A little bit expensive for what it offers. We stayed another night in bariloche and instead of booking through HW we shopped around the hostels and we were able to get a much better deal in a much better location and with a much better breakfast. On the other hand, we didn't stayed too long, only for one night before continuing our road trip, so the experience may not reflect the atmosphere of this place.

The bathrooms lack ventilation, having only one toilet it's very stressing. The carpet on the room was damp.
