Nice hostel in Triana. Bedrooms were a bit crammed (we went for the 8 ppl dorm), but all was clean, safe and there was a nice communal room and a terrace with some hammocks on the top. Staff was helpful and I liked the location: a short pleasant walk to the tourist attractions, and in a quiet barrio with character. We also found free parking round the corner, a rarity in the city centre. Helpful staff. Only speck was the wifi not working all the time, but I guess that it was only temporary.

One of the best hostels ever. Amazing location, right in the middle of it all, yet in a quiet pedestrian street. Pristine bedrooms with en suite bathroom and AC, tastefully furnished and with lots of light. Helpful staff, breakfast included. You couldn't possibly ask for more!. A real jewel!

Nice hostel, helpful staff and lots of common areas. I've been here only one night, but I really enjoyed my stay.

The place is right in the middle of town, a short walk from the ferry, and not hard to find through the little alleys of Stone Town. There is a lovely terrace on the top of the building with a great view over the roofs of Stone Town. You can enjoy there your free breakfast, a few meters away and with the same view as the 200$ a night hotel customers.. :) Facilities and rooms are basic, but clean, and considering this is Tanzania, more than acceptable. Simba at the reception is very helpful.

Euro Hostel Glasgow

This is basically a former hotel turned into a hostel. This means 4 bed rooms with electronic access key. The place is super close to the train station and in the city center, good value for money and wifi in the room. Rooms are clean and safe. The only thing missing is the hostel vibe, since it is basically a hotel.

Nice hostel, good location, safe and clean. Can get a bit noisy due to the music coming from the pub, but in general it stops before midnight.

Interfly Europe Hostel

Pretty nice hostel, we stayed there as they were still finishing it up, so some of the facilities were not there yet. But it looks promising. The area of town it is located may not be the prettiest (Aksaray), but it's very close enough to the tourist areas. The hostel is located at the terminus of the metro coming from the airport, so that was super convenient. Not all the staff speaks good English, but everyone was very nice and helpful. Definitely going back if I am in Istanbul again.

Jollyboys Camp

The place was a bit farther than tagged on google maps/hostel world. It was a bit dull, nobody was around, so I just moved to another hostel in town, which was more lively, without being a party animal den. Overall the place appeared a bit run down, the shower heads not working, no mosquito nets. Overall it was OK, just not that good really.

Hostel Lozanni

Athens, Greece

This place seemed a bit sketchy. Probably more than it really is. We got here at 1AM and the area around is full of prostitutes. Nothing alarming, since we were in a group, but it could be unpleasant alone. The night porter was hard to understand when he spoke, and a bit useless. The one during the day was much better. The rooms were OK, but the real problem was the terrible smell of smoke in the whole hostel. Unbearable, I could not wait to get out to breathe. If you can, go somewhere else.

Korali Hotel

Awesome place to stay, and very good value for money. The hostel is simple but well taken care of. In town and very close to the beach. The staff were helpful and very nice. There's a sweet terrace on top, a little table and a small kitchen if you want to make your own breakfast. They offer pick-up and drop-off service from the port, even if walking does not take more than 15 minutes.

Far Out Beach Club

Ios, Greece

Good place to stay. There were some nice bungalows and spots for tents if you want to camp. Lots of young people, in perfect Ios style. If you come here with a group of friends (like we did) and not to hook up, it's still an interesting anthropological experience to look at the guys chatting up girls on the beach... ;) In front of a beautiful beach, the bus takes you to town for 1.60. otherwise it's a 20 minutes walk.

Stavros Villas

Great place from every perspective. Good value for money, clean, nice view, safe, friendly staff. Stavros and family are just awesome and were super helpful with anything, from pick-up to laundry, from advices to renting quads, etc. Highly recommended! If one really wants to look for a flaw, maybe it's not centrally located, but only 20 mins walk to central Fira and you will probably get a quad/car to go around Santorini anyway.

Pagration Youth Hostel

Athens, Greece

The hostel is basic, but clean and definitely worth the money. The staff was friendly and helpful It is not very centrally located (30 mins to walk to Athens attraction, 15 mins to a metro station) but the neighbourhood is very safe, which is a big plus in Athens. Cons: 50 cents for a warm shower (why they don't just charge 50 cents more for a room and let people have warm showers?) No power outlets in the rooms (painful to charge phones, laptops, etc.)

Great hostel! Centrally located, very friendly and helpful staff. There was also a free guided tour of Riga included. The hostel itself is nice, even if the building in which it is situated is a bit old. One of the 2 rooms where our group was staying did not exactly smell like a bouquet of fresh flowers, but the bathrooms and toilets were pristine. Welcome beer is always a plus!

Soul Kitchen Hostel

St Petersburg, Russia

New tiny hostel right at the end of Nevsky Prospekt. The staff is young, very helpful, always available and they speak good English. The rooms are with bunk beds, a bit crowded, but clean and with lockers to secure your stuff, even though the hostel overall is really safe. Good internet connection and free landline calls to anywhere in the world. Breakfast could be a bit richer, but it's free, so why complaining? ;)

Hostel Olet

The hostel in a school during the terms and it's turned into a hostel just in the summer. If you don't hate children drawings hanging on the walls and the stairs with children-size steps the place is really ok ;). The hostel is clean, the staff friendly and breakfast is included. Nothing huge, but it's always nice to wake up and have something to eat (or to chase away the after taste of a hangover..) On our arrival they even gave us a welcome cheap-but-not-so-bad beer! About cleaniness, nothing to complain, maybe there are a wee bit too few showers and when the place is fully booked it could be annoying. Ahh, one last thing.. The free car park is not exactly immense, but i imagine that's the best you can get indoor near the centre of Prague.

Hostel Hutteldorf

The hostel's really good from most of the most important point of views, clean, safe, located near a metro station, included breakfast... The only negative aspect was the abscence of a kitchen. But you can always eat outside and enjoy a good wiener Schnitzel! ;)
