We loved this hostel! It has a wonderful relaxed atmosphere, and we met so many other travellers. The staff are all incredibly friendly, and will help you with anything you need. You can book treks right through the hostel, and they will even order you food for delivery (very handy after coming back late from a trek!). The whole hostel was very clean, the beds are comfy and we had nice hot showers. Highly recommend staying here!

Huchuy Wasi is a little bit away from the main areas in Puno, but that made for a nice, quiet sleep. A little bit more like a hotel than a hostal, there isn't much of a common room and we didn't meet any other people. The room was a nice size and the bathroom was very clean with great water pressure and hot water. The man at the front reception was very nice and showed us where the main areas were. The bread included in breakfast was awesome!

We loved this hostel. The room was big, with plenty of blankets and a heater, and we always had piping hot water. The staff were all so friendly. They called cabs for us and booked our bus tickets. They offer a travel agent that can book tours for you as well. While we didn't eat breakfast at the hostel (there were too many cafes in San Blas we wanted to try!) it looked really good, with the option for a lot of different extras. You get a beautiful view of Cusco from the upper rooms too!

This was a great hostel! The rooms were a good size, and the matrimonial room we stayed in even had a little balcony. The bathrooms were always very clean, with great water pressure and very hot water (probably the best showers we've had in Peru so far). The whole hostel felt recently re-done. All of the staff were very friendly, even with us speaking very limited Spanish.

The courtyard was great with hammocks all around, and lots of trees. The bar area is good too. We found the staff friendly. They had a great buggy tour right from the hostel. The driver was really fun! However, there was no toilet seat in our bathroom... there were ants all over the shower, and the room felt very dirty. We were told there was a party that night at check in (every Saturday night) but we didn't quite expect music pounding until 5 am. Maybe better for more party people than us.

We met some great people at this hostel, the common area on the rooftop was nice! Unfortunately the bar was only open three nights out of our week long stay, and we found the beer to be very expensive, since you can't bring your own in. Our private room was on the rooftop patio so it was quite loud with music playing from the morning until at least 11:00. However, the staff were very friendly, the bed was comfy, there were hot showers. Overall we enjoyed our stay!
