Very sociable hostel, always people around in the living area downstairs. Great location, right near the Town Hall square. The staff are helpful and have plenty of recommendations for restaurants, bars, etc. And fresh waffles in the morning are awesome!

Very fun and sociable hostel, lots of people around the bar area in the evening. There's a free shuttle to the Falls on the first day of your stay. The downsides would include very slow wifi and the fact that only one person can shower at a time (otherwise no one gets hot water).

Very highly recommended. Great location, decent wifi (rarity in Zambia!), the dorms are clean and spacious. There's a kitchen where you can order food for reasonable price. The bar area is great, very sociable in the evenings. Special mention goes to John and Kim, who were most helpful - they can help you book any place in Zambia you want to go to next (very competitive pricing) and have great recommendations on what to do/see.
Great to hear you enjoyed your stay.

Highly recommended. Great location, helpful staff, spacious dorms (we got upgraded to a private room free of extra charge because the dorm we booked was full by the time we arrived). Good showers, decent wifi, social events on every night and it has two resident cats! Would definitely stay there again.

Great hostel, located in the centre of town. The staff are super helpful and can help you book day trips into the desert (very competitive pricing). Great hammocks in the courtyard and there's a bar upstairs.

Great location, about 5min away from Plaza des Armas in Sucre. Super helpful staff, clean and spacious rooms. On Saturday nights the downstairs area turns into a night club!

Great location, right in the heart of La Paz (about 10min walk from Witches Market). Good wifi. Was a bit quiet when we stayed so a good choice if you are not keen on a party hostel.

A little bit of the way but if you're looking for a little peace and quiet to recharge your batteries, this is the place. Some very nice common areas and good wifi.

Great location, right in the centre of Cusco. Decent wifi, amazing showers (hot and powerful). Fun and sociable in the evenings. Would definitely stay here again.

Decent location, the staff are extremely helpful and friendly. Good hot showers and pretty good wifi. Can also book trips at a good price through them, for example hiking in the Colca Canyon.

Good location in the Miraflores district. Very secure and quite cozy hostel. Not the most sociable atmosphere but great if you want a quieter night in to get some rest. Good wifi.

Once again Secret Garden excelled itself. Didn't feel like a hostel, with a massive common room with a fireplace and a couple of dogs. Great food and hiking/horse riding activities are highly recommended! No wifi but it adds to the sociable friendly atmosphere. Not to forget a hot tub with a view of the Cotopaxi!

Amazing stay at Secret Garden! Awesome atmosphere, super sociable (helped by a bar with roof terrace), many events on in the evenings. Delicious breakfast selection and some good meals in the evening as well. Highly recommended! PS can also book other trips at really good prices, such as the Amazon and the Galápagos.

Great location, but try and stay in the annex rather than the main building if you plan on getting any sleep at all. Decent breakfast selection. Very helpful staff and there are events on almost every night and it has its own decently priced bar!

The staff were lovely, with excellent English. The living room is also a bar in the evening (first drink free on arrival to the hostel!), with reasonably priced drinks. A great place to meet the locals from Asakusa.

Great location, a short walk from all the main sites of old Nagasaki, as well as the tram stops. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. I've seen better bathroom/toilet facilities but very good value for money.

Great location if you want to spend more time in Miyajima, and an easy commute to central Hiroshima. The downstairs bar is very lively, with everyone coming down and socialising. The lovely staff are very happy to help and organise various events for the guests, such as curry night and face painting.

Good location in downtown Osaka, with easy commute to the JR station and Shin-Osaka. However, a slightly dodgy area (compared to the rest of the city), especially if a lone female traveler. Having said that, it was a great value for money and the kitchen/bathroom facilities were more than adequate. You also get a private room, which sets it apart from many other Japanese hostels/guesthouses.

An amazing find in Kyoto, right in the heart of old Gion district. Very close to the sights in Higashiyama and easy to commute to other parts of Kyoto. There's a living room and kitchen, where a lot of the guests get together in the evenings for drinks. Moreover, there is an amazing old-fashioned Japanese bath (sento-style) that can be used by the guests.

A wonderful old style Japanese house (with a beautiful Japanese garden) converted into a guesthouse by its owner and his lovely wife. A little bit out of the way from central Hikone, however the owner is happy to pick up guests from the train station for a minimal charge. The bed was one of the most comfortable futons I've had. It's also worth mentioning that the owner went out in the pouring rain in order to purchase an adaptor for me to rent for one night. Highest marks for the service!

A Lonely Planet recommendation that exceeded my expectations! Great location, and the hostel itself is in a converted kimono shop. The owner and his staff are friendly and keen to talk to the guests and explain Kanazawan history. There are activities in the evening, such as folding paper cranes (trickier than it looks). Overall, an excellent stay and highly recommended!

Great location, very close to the station and easy to walk to the main sights in Takayama. The futon was comfortable and the room was very clean. There's a kitchen downstairs with free tea and coffee.

Great location in the heart of Asakusa, with many places to eat nearby. The staff were lovely and extremely helpful, not to mention their organising of evening events, such as sake nights and Japanese lessons. Free tea and coffee facilities available.
Thank you for your feedback and joining those activities with us. It was so lovely to have you stay with us and hope you had a great time in Tokyo. We are so looking forward to welcoming you again.
