The small single room is in the 3rd floor, backwards, quiet, very small, 8 quaremeter. No armoire, only an old dirty looking footlocker. The table is a small triangular plank in the corner. No wash hand basin. At the floor is only one toilet with shower in one room, and it was often occupied. Extra costs for breakfast 4 Euro, linen 2,00 and towel 0,50-1,00. For the price you find better single rooms in other hotels. BUT atmosphere, people, stuff, guest kitchen, free bicycles and laptops are great
Great location, relatively quite street (busses in the night, delivery vans in the early morning), breakfast includes coffee or tea, toast, butter, marmelade, cerealia and milk (no cheese, no sausage, no eggs). The coffee is often finished, and you have to wait until the stuff cook new coffee. It would be nice to have a second coffee pot!! WLAN access and one computer in the common room. You can use the kitchen until 9 pm. Stuff friendly, rooms clean. Bathroom window defective, does not open.
The hotel is near the center in the deserted area of an exibition center. The rooms have good acoustic insulation, I did not hear doors or the train directly beside the hotel. Room was very clean, with television, Staff very friendly. The air condition does not work, if you are outside the room. Excellent value for money -I would stay there again.
The breakfast is maybe italien style, but not what I prefer in the morning. No cheese or yoghurt, no ham or sausage, never eggs. You get variations of white flour: bread rolls (not crispy) with butter and marmelade, cake, biscuits, one piece butter, marmelade, coffee, one glass juice and one piece fruit. A supermarket is nearby, in the kitchen is a fridge and a microwave (no electric cooker). Peaceful accomodation, shower curtain mouldy spots, 13 min walk to the ACTV ferry, bus every 20 min.
I booked this hostel and already paid a depoit, but when I arrived with heavy luggage, there was a chit of paper on the door: Artists hostel is closed till Thursday, please go to another hostel. No refund up to now...This is highly nonprofessional!!!
Students urban area at the edge of the town. The Reception is not always open, for example sat and sun only for three hours. It is very clean, quiet and the rooms spacious, an extra sleeping room and a living room with television and guest kitchen for three persons. The security is good -IF you understand the system. I was not good explained how the doorlock-system works. Internet is only possible, if you buy a five hour card. The water was not hot, only lukewarm. The first morning there was no electricity.
a nice victorian housedirect in the center of Trallee, beside the museum. It was possible to store the bicycle in the house. Nice helpful staff from Ukraina. The rooms have too many beds inside, if the hostel is fully booked, there is no place to deposite your baggage, and ensuite rooms for 10-12 people are not a good idea, because the toilet is always occupied, there are no other toilets.
I did not like the sizzling plastic sheets in the beds. The rooms are very clairaudient, you hear every step above your head and chattering doors in the wind. It was cold, but the heater worked only one hour, and worked not in the morning. The shower drain didnt work and the complete bathroom was wet. Kitchen was nice. Stuff was helpful to organize an excursion to the Aran Islands, the harbour is 2 Kilometer away.
Stuff very helpful, professionel conducted bigger hostel. Single rooms with a really foul-smelling carpet. it would be better to use no carpets in rooms with washbasins. 12 bed rooms nice charakter, but not enough ventilation.
Value for money. Very nice is the terrace on the roof and the guest kitchen. The cheap rooms are small, but okay. the bigger ones are spacious and have a balcony (you can get it for 20.- as a single person). Internet acess is only possible with wireless Lan or in the office, where the employee has to leave while you write a mail. So I felt always a pressure of time to write fast. Three times there was no toilet paper. Room service every day except sunday. I like a low fun rating, beause it means no loud music and other noise after midnight...
Great hotel! Breakfast with eggs, cornflakes milk and schoko cakes inclusive. Has a common room with 7sofas, TV and free internet access. Every room has a great balcony, telephone and TV, with elevator. Room service and bathroom cleaning every day. I was allowed to park my bicycle in the lobby! Located between Monasteria and National Archeological museum, only 1 Minute on foot to Omonia place, but round the hostel is pedestrian area, so there is no direct car noise. Old furniture, and the direct surrounding is not so full of athmosphere, but great value for money, highly recommanded!!
Nice smimming pool with bar/cafe nearby, very friendly stuff. Spacious rooms, but thin walls. Perissa in october: there are may shops closed, the supermerkets sell their remain food, one yogurt I bought was mouldy, difficult to get fresh vegetables and fruits in Perissa. too cold to swim. The bus to Fira was not reliable, half an hour to late. If you want to go to an other place, you first must go to Fira and than take another bus. Walk to archaelogical site Old Thira in 45 Minutes possible. Black beach would be nice in summer.
nice big balcony with mornig sun. Smimming pool, big spacious rooms are clean. George took me from the ferry, that was great, because the mountains are steep. BUT: the walls are very thin, behind the wall was a kitchen, and it was so loud that I couldnt sleep. The same if there is somebody over your head shuffle a chair, you hear it very loud.
I would stay here again!
Too far away from the town, but a really beautiful place! Very friendly, I booked a dorm and got a single room, this was very small only 5 squaremeter. The walls are very thin, so if the neighbour is loud you have a problem to sleep. No aircondition, many moskitos and no protection, i could not open the window because of that. Good: you can hear and see the ocean waves, nice terrace, beach is nearby
Nice house, friendly stuff, but there is a loud main road in front of the hotel, wich is very loud. The places of interest are not in walking distance, so you have to take the subway. A supermarket is nearby. They stored my suitcase for free when I was on the islands.
