Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

Really great place to stay, central to walk to the beach, and friendly staff to help you find anything and everything... CanĀ“t beat making your own orange juice fresh every morning either (or afternoon if you sleep in...)

Youthhostel Zurich

Zurich, Switzerland

This hostel is smoothly run! Staff are friendly to help out, and offer a wide variety of services. You can even buy a pocket knife! But you won't need to slit your wrists - as the only slightly annoying thing was the timer on the shower, but hey - its helping the environment... I give it a rating of four and a half golden bunks

Lisbon Poets Hostel

Lisbon, Portugal

This place was so clean with just enough people in each room to actually get to sleep. The vibe is friendly and warm and the staff are helpful. (Bruno will send you to all the right bars...) The hostel was a little difficult to find but that just makes it all that more secure...

Lisbon Lounge Hostel

Lisbon, Portugal

Absolutely fabulous hostel. The dryer-tumbler coffee tables are a must-steal! hehehe This hostel wins my award for the best-decorated hostel EVER! The only difficult thing was finding it!

Pop Hostel

Madrid, Spain

This has been one of the better hostels I have stayed at in Europe!

Caribic House

Montego Bay, Jamaica

I had to pay for two beds being a single person which was already well above my budget, but to top it off, one of the beds hadnt even been made since the last person used it!
