Riad Dar Tamlil

Marrakech, Morocco

Riad with rooftop terrace and nice, clean rooms. The welcome was rather frosty and although we asked for it the day before, it was not possible to get breakfast before 8:30 a.m.. As we had to catch our bus, we had to leave the accomodation without breakfast.

Lisboa Hostal

Very warm welcome from Roswita and a nice, renovated room with balcony. Additionally, it is near the train station and the ferry port, so it was perfect for a overnight stop on our way to Morocco.

Rossio Hostel

Lisbon, Portugal

Perfectly located, clean and cosy hostel. It has all the facilities a good hostel needs, including a nice breakfast. If anyone is looking for a point to improve: The windows are not the newest ones, so it can be rather cold in the rooms (in October) and a bit noisy (traffic).

Kinlay Eyre Square Hostel

Clean, well appointed and centrally located rooms for a fair price. There is also an included breakfast, which was okay - the only minor flaw is that the rooms have rather poor sound isolation.

Coliseum Rooms

Rome, Italy

Clean, perfectly located, small hostel near the Colosseum (easy walking distance) and next to the metro / bus lines, run by a sympathetic young owner. The rooms are nice, although they had rather poor sound isolation. A well decorated common room would be great (the kitchen seems not to be in use). The breakfast is typical italian (coffee and croissant) - nothing special, but okay. A last minor point: The door was not easy to open, maybe one can fix this?

Euro Hostel Glasgow

Glasgow, Scotland

A huge hostel with no character - only to recommend if you stay for one night and arrive/leave by train. A lot of party people, so don`t expect to get a relaxing night. Furthermore, most of the facilities are a bit scruffy (showers, lounge, broken lockers etc.). As a plus, you get a mediocre continental breakfast included in the price. Anyhow, thanks to the staff who didn`t charge us for the night before we didn`t show up (we booked the wrong date...)!

Schlafmeile Hostel

nice, clean hostel, good beds, only the shower curtain was very thin and tried always to cuddle up to me ;-) especially recommended is the breakfast in the kiwi café next door: good value and on sundays great brunch buffet! located in an alternative student neighbourhood, good connections with public transport.

cool lounge/bar, nice atmosphere, but too small rooms!
