Nice Place. Looks nice. Middle of bar street so lots of food and drinks. Good staff who are helpful. Would send friends or go again. Free good coffee all the time. Price reasonable for room. Nice if they had a TV and not just DVD in common area. Ask for room in BACK as bar noise at night. There was an EXTRA tourist tax that Hostel World did not include. Maybe hostel world problem. I will complain to hostel world. Tax about 10% of room charge.

Have a computer to use if you need it. Have back yard to relax and drink in. Would stay again and send friends. Duice bus running on Las Vegas stip stops near by. Easy to get bus to airport. Protected parking. Do have some strange people walking by but they appear harmless.

6 lights in a room and one was broken and the others too dim to read a book. Good for romantic atmosphere however. Increase brightness of lights by 100% or more. Bathroom light bright. Need small night light at bed. Door has two locks but only the weak non deadbolt worked. Easy to break into the room so had to carry valuables outside. Did have a room safe. Room clean bed big. Staff OK and helpful. Shower water failed for a while in the morning but water is hot. Need TV for $20 cost of room.

Great cleaning service for room. Great buffett breakfest. Can order as much as like off menu for free also. Would stay again. Would send friends. Good deal for Hong Kong. Note all rooms that are under $100 USA are really small like really small. Room was well set up for a really small room and had a hot shower etc. Air con and fan. Good staff who were into security which is needed in that building. TV no cable. Could leave bags after checkout good for late flights. Hostel on airport 21A bus run and bus is cheap. Takes one hour from airport. Cleaned room and replaced stuff as needed. Would stay again and send others.

Good value for the $. Great location for safety, food, metro, airport bus, parks , ruins, view of ruins etc. Staff is nice and helpful. Value for the money is good as the place is not in such great shape and minimum facilities but very cheap. Staff keeps bathrooms etc clean. Marginal kitchen. Showers etc fine. 24 hour desk which is great as 8 blocks from 24 hour airport bus. Would stay again and send friends. Flexable booking. We had a private room with big bed and space and cheap.

Would stay again. Would send friends. Staff helpful and speak English. Friendly.. Nice things like hung laundray as we out for day so did not have to pay for drying. Nice balcony in room. Private rooms have own kitchen and bath. Need to clean and organize better. Some of applinces falling apart old. Run out of hot water. None in top kitchen. Courtyard noisey till 12 night. Others would say good social atmosphere. On major tram line to train station. Easy to TIGAL airport. Near supermarket.

Good place to stay. Would stay again. Would send friends. Had BOTH kitchen and restaurant which is unusual and good. Good beer price with view. Room more like fancy B and B room than hostel room with water fall below window. Very near bus station. Easy walk to sites in town. Both Asian grocery stores in town good prices + long hours by the way. Good security. No TV in room bad?? Private bath. Nice old building 700 year old. No extra room charge on weekend. Internet is not secure.

Good place to stay. Would stay again. Would send friends. Great buffet breakfest + lots of bacon etc. Laundray OK and cheap but need to fix dryer as takes 2 hours. Kitchen is good and one kitchen on each floor. Elevator is great with 5 floors. Bus station near by is not nosey at night and useful. Need bigger fans for the rooms, hot summer as sun heats up rooms. Metro is very near and goes to train station. Place is easy to find. Staff helpful and speak English. Good food near.

Could not open windows SO HOT in summer. Bad AC system design. I engineer. No shades on windows Very light at 5 AM in summer. Cleaning staff does clean room. Desk staff did not know which train station (3) to use to get to hostel in Viena. We called and said "I do not know." Big problem to find place. No washing machine or dryer. No microwave. No glasses or good wall hooks in room. Breakfest was good. Lots of lounge space. Good security except had a nut case refused to evict.
Dear Guest, thank you for you comments. Just a few remarks on your comments: "SO HOT" is relativ - the room temparature is by average 21°C. We offered you a room with curtains/shades which you refused. Desk staff do know very well the way from train stations to hostel, in fact you did not know which train station you arrived and on which you are! We never offered the service of washing machines, dryers or a microwace, complaining about the lack is a bit weird. Best regards HI Brigittenau

Excellent place to stay. Would stay again. Would send friends. Little English but they phone the 2 sons who speak excellent English as were in USA. Ask about the great value 1 hour masssage for $17. Good kitchen. Nice design for building and rooms. Great value for $. Nice grounds. Will pick you up and drop you off at station free and that is great as a bit far. Could add some spices to kitchen supplies. Bit of a walk to downtown but not so far. Great hot water spa in town and cheap.

Excellent place to stay. Had very nice apartment reasonable cost. Note apartments not at the hostel but will walk you over. Apartment on subway line. Manager went out of his way let us use his phone to call American Airlines in USA about our tickets since AA number in Europe was out of service. Speaks good English. Good information about the city and country. Would stay again. Would send friends. Apartment area good for bars but a bit of noise at nights. But can close windows

Great Location. Easy walk to train station. Would stay again. Would send friends. Good kitchen. Free coffee. Owner provides a lot of nice free food, very unusual. In private rooms had a shaired bath for only 2 rooms because of layout so nice. Had own refrigerator for the 2 private rooms. Need to clean up the kitchen and hostel a bit better. Could be better organized.

Good place to stay. Speak good English. Good for information about city and tours. Would stay again Would send friends. Free coffee Kitchen fine. Good showers that do not flood the floor. On walking street. WARNING Do not take taxi tohostel or taxi in this town. All taxis are totally dishonest and may have rigged meters. Take #4 bus from the train station in front of the station . First stop is station and last is near hostel. Cheap bus Can get noisy in hostel as no quiet hours.

Nice place. Would stay again Would send friends Very helpful Good English Take subway NOT taxi as taxi does not know where the place is and is too lazy to phone. Not hostel fault. Hostel needs to list the main street and cross street for taxi. Most taxis in Rumania are scam artists so try to avoid. Be careful of central train station as full of scam artists. Has a nice deal for very cheap dinner 7-8 PM. Free coffee. Microwave to cook stuff. Good showers. Safe.

This is actually just rooms for rent and not a hostel. There are no staff most of the time. Room was very good and big with air con. Kitchen is just microwave and water heater. Sink is in the bathroom so a problem. Near bus and train stations. Need to redesign the kitchen and bath to make it work better. Need to put maps of the town on the wall and town information. Place is clean. OK value for money Would stay again. Would send friends

Might want to add some meat to the food. Very clean. Very helpful staff. Have a great and reasonable price all day Rika Monistery tour. Easy to get to from the bus and train station by tram. Taxi will try to cheat you so fight them. Would stay again. Would send friends. Have another building 10 min walk with apartments. Good laundry

Owner will pick up up and drop off at the bus station if you e mail or call. This is a GREAT service as hostel is 15 minutes walk and 300 steps to climb from the bus station. Owner is great in providing information about town and buses to other places like Albania. Very friendly and very good at getting things done that they promise. Very good value for money. Would stay again. Would send friends. Bit of a long walk to the old town but there is also a bus. Market near by.Great views.

Cabins had very weak heaters and no thick blankets so we were very cold. Need to double power the heaters. OK to charge for the nice big towels but cheap to charge for WI Fi Really packed in people as put in a large set of new small tents when we were there. Price is really good especially when you compair to downtown Venice. Supermarket almost across the street. Easy bus to Venice Staff were very friendly and helpful Very clean place. Need closed windows on showers as very cold.

Like everyone else says the owner is really nice and knows a lot about the area and tours etc. He can book you tours but does not push tours on you like some do. Breakfest coffee is great and you can get extra. Area is quiet at night. Rooms are kept in great shape and cleaned. No TV in the rooms but maybe you do not need it. One needs to find out how to adjust the hot water as some times it acts up a bit. Will return here from Lompok in a week. Would send my friends. Room security good.

If you have an International Hostel Card DO NOT book on hostelworld hostel will not give you the 15% discount for the hostel membership. Book on IYH Hostel Site. Only hostel that does this. Room OK . Kitchen OK. Staff helpful. Excellent $11 Saturday Night BBQ all you can eat. Show the IYH card to get the discount to $10, Can get noisey and will not shut people up till 2 AM. Large garden back area. Has computers that work OK. Good breakfest included. Not far from BA boats. Takes credit cards.

Staff is very good. Management is very cheap about upkeep. Do not replace lights till all fail. Porch light permanently failed. One shower faucett lose. Etc. Kitchen very good. Free pickup and drop off at Amtrek and Greyhound very good and unusual in USA. Management needs to spend the time and money to repair and fix up the place or they will get a poor rating in the future from people used to hostels where things work and are kept up. Could be one of the best in New Orleans if did upkeep.

Stayed in shaired bath and private bath room on 2 visits. The STAFF is the strongest point of this hostel as they will go out of their way to help and are friendly about it. Very valuable translations of directions and addresses etc into Chinese. Staff English is good. Private bath rooms better deal than the shaired bath as get hot water maker, TV and new paint job. Good location. Problems, one bath for whole floor of shaired bath rooms, one water heater for building, expensive food beer.
Thank you, have a nice day. Regards

An excellent hostel, the staff are excellent. The staff go out of their way to help as does the manages and wife. Very friendly and knowledgable. Excellent English spoken. Rooms have a lot of character as old stile Chinese rooms. Only problem is the entire town has a sewerage problem so the drains smell. This IS NOT THE HOSTELS PROBLEMS but a town problem. The food in the hostel is good and reasonable priced as is the beer price. Very good location. Will pick you up at the train staion free.

Excellent helpful and knowledgable staff. Good English. Did some booking of 6 train tickets for us and told us how to get a better train. Nice free breakfest buffet. Room was fine and clean. Have a nice lazy cat that needs a lot of petting. Easy access to hot water for coffee etc. Air con in room was noisey and they could not fix it well. Helpful in doing translations to Chinese when we needed them to find things.

Staff were very good even if English not perfect. They were good about telling us where to find the GOOD train booking office and writing all the train information in Chinese so the ticket seller who did not speak any English could process tickets that started in another city correctly. Also did other translations and map guidance all of which is essential if you do not speak Chinese. Nice to have free computers. Hostel may appear to be a bit isolated as it is in a compound. You get used to it

Staff was totally excellent. One staff woman who was off duty went with me to a Korean All You Can Eat to explain the details of the menue as all Chinese. Great help finding places and booking tickets. Clean room. Quiet. Lots of translations into Chinese of museum and sites locations and directions with a smile. Cafe expensive, mostly Western food. We were in basement but no toilets in basement. Some guests get really drunk. Would stay again. Would send friends. Great place! Robert Wilkinson

The entire staff male and female at the desk were really excellent and went out of their way to help. Some of the best I have seen anywhere in the world even at very expensive hotels. The chinese food in the cafe is very average as they try to make American Chinese food and not real chinese food. It is also not cheap. Lots of food outside. The owner is too cheap to fix the computers so they will run well and he is charging $1 USA per hour. This also drove the staff nuts.
Thanks for valuable comments and sincere praise, which is a great encouragement to help us make a consecutive development. We are so happy we managed to provide you with our excellent service which you mentioned above ,which is our priority as well. Good place to stay in HK. Would send others there. Would stay again. Staff very helpful as persuaded us to take the bus to China and not the train to save 30% of cost. Hostel world has the wrong prices in the system for this hostel. Dorm is $20/night. Room for 2 is $45 per night. Family room for 3 is $60/ night. Hostel world overcharged me as they used the $60 rate for 2. Hostel DID charge the correct $45. Still looking for my hostel world refund for overcharge. Hostel could use some cleanup but kitchen etc are fine. There is something wrong with this comments section as I am having a great deal of trouble editing my comments - Hostel world please fix it

It cannot be in such a bad neighborhood as the USA consulate is just down the street. Have lock boxes for $. Room security is good. Cable TV etc. Get useful info from staff etc. Rooms are large and clean. Not noisey at night. Would go again. Booked for 3 nights and stayed 5.
