I've stayed for 4 nights in a single room on the basement. It was comfortable, but with enough space for my bags. But, yes, it's noise down there, the doors are really noisy, the kitchen as well. But after 10pm everything was quiet untill 8-9am. The bathroom was clean. The problem is the late check-in, only after 2pm. I arrived in a bus from ottawa at 6am, had to wait for 6 hours. At least they have luggage storage. They dont take credit cards. Payment only in cash. I'd come back, anyway

the bathroom is dirty, although the shower is hot. the breakfast isn't worth. internet never works and the staff really doesn't care about it. location is good. mandla is such a great guy.
Very good beds, very nice atmosphere, and the best breakfast in my 25 days backpacking in Europe. The worst thing was the shower. When I was at this hostel, the shower went cold and hot several times, every day, within seconds. But I still recomend this place...
This place looks like a hotel. The room I was in, at least... Very good place. Close to the train station, 15 minutes walking to Coliseu, good restaurants, local pizza places, and internet point by the corner. You have to be luck when you book a four bed bedroom. Only two (maybe three) of them are really nice. The bathroom should be clean up more often...
If you are not looking for a place to party, go to Locanda Daniel. Very quiet, well located, nice beds, nice showers and cheap!!! The negative points are the stairs (if you have a 25kg backpack, like I was...) and you don´t see the staff very often. They only are there untill 14h. I recomend for those who don´t want to stay in noisy places!!
Negative points: - the doors are too loudy. So, in the middle of the night... - you feel like a stranger in your first days in the bar. A few guys live there and make the bar like them houses. It takes two or three days to become their "friends" (if you don't speak english perfect). - the breakfast could be better. Positive points: - The bed is very good. Lots of privace; - the shower is one of the best i've seen in hostels; - Different kinds of beer in the bar; - They are like hostel, pub, minimarket... the kitchen is always open. - Although the tube station is a little (just a little) far from downtown, it's a good place to stay in. Eu recomendo... Eh isso!
