Hostel just had Grand Opening (other part student housing). The 10 bed female dorm (NOVELTY capsule beds). Floor/room access only thru swipecard, except anteroom in 10 female, lockers but anyone can go in, cause it´s were coats, large luggage is stored. Since the place is new are a few things amiss but the staff listened and was eager to please. HUGE kitchen. Every room ensuite toilets/shower BIG annoyance: inconsiderate guests who left the common room trashed, littered, spillage everywhere.

Good- spacious room with lots of single beds, sink in room, but only 1 Shower/toilet on floor for 5 rooms. There were others scattered in the building but who wants to go chasing after that all the time? Breakfast served in barroom with lingering beer aroma and what seemed a jumble of day-old rolls and patries, many smashed, not very appetising, but i guess to the hungry budget traveller it´s fine. There´s a supermarket a few yards down the road and also 2 bakeries.

Must be the prettiest little hostel in Belgium or anywhere I ever stayed in, the locations is priceless so is the view. Easy to find. Spacious, airy room with large windows panorama view of old town. Breakfast, the usual suspects but heck, it´s included. Go outside, you pay $$$. You can walk to just about anywhere, just need tram to a from train station.

I´ve been coming here every year during the fair for the past 6-7 years, so that says it all. I really like the outdoor space it has gotten nicer over the years, the area livelier, more eateries etc. Lockers in the room would be nice. The rooms are a bit small but I only come to sleep anyway. The beds are good. Supermarket nearby, tram stops right infront. Free towels adds a nice touch. Hope to be back again next year. Only - having a little kid staying in the room was a bit strange.

I´ve been coming here for years during Art Basel, it´s conveniently located, but it´s a bit sterile, typical for Ys. A plus is the free use of guest computers, even though most people now have their own gadgets, it´s good to have cause i travel sans. You can also get a free locker after checking out, so it´s good that your stuff is safe.

one of the best hostels i ever stayed in. Breakfast served, beds made every day, super clean and great staff BBQ, firepit, with the Yours Truely coffee shop mingling with the locals, view of the mountains, eateries, shops, busses outside the door, tours and other activities. All rooms have ensuite baths and TV. Individual lockers in beds and large lockers in room. Only neg is the lighting. Just one sad lightbulb at the ceiling, In my room, only 1 bed with reading light.

there is no reception, really, there was no staff, just a girl who didnt really know much. we had to look for linens and towels and toiletpaper, cause no-one was around. the ensuite dorm is a bit small especially for 4 people, nothing but the beds and lockers underneath, room otherwise bare. but its close to ferry and old town. kitchen has all one needs, except there was no free tea left after 1 day stay. no replacement.

everything you need in your home away from home. the place feels more like home, a big apt where you are a friend among friends. large kitchen for cooking, and a table foosball to work of the calories. comfy couches to relax and large lockers in room. All rooms with a street view, big windows, airy, light. Everything is in walking distance and the hostel is super easy to find.

most likely the noisiest hostel I ever stayed at. Doors slamming, people shouting, the elevator ... my room was next to stairwell. Heat went out at night so it was a bit too cold. But easy to find great location, good sized rooms but no lockers in-room, Breakfast nothing special, toast, packaged jam, butter, juice, 2 cereals. Had better. Large common room, large kitchen for cooking, if that´s your thing. I´d probably come again for location.

Thanks for your feedback . So sorry if you found the hostel noisy , it has been very busy and tough we do ask all guests to be mindful of others when closing doors and quiet after 11pm some will be more exuberant than others . If you come back to us let us know and we will try ensure you have a quieter room. The Breakfast is Free so is light and simple but you can use the self catering kitchen if you prefer something more substantial. Glad you liked the handy location

The poor rating for staff goes to the kitchen. The aide snatched a cup out of my hands barking at me that for tea I have to use the glass. The cheek! She clearly doesn´t know her place. I am a guest! Mold is showers. One male receptionist, who was working ther for 25 years quit, leaving end of year. That tells you. Since the new ownership the place has gone down and it´s all about money. Guests don´t count. I liked the place so I was a repeat customer, but I won´t be back. Lacking atmosphere.

I was the only guest, so can´t really tell. But spacious bright rooms, coatracks, room under beds. Cozy kitchen, lots of vintage stuff, alas no TV or guest computer nor books. In nice weather, no biggy, but it was cold and snowy so having something to do while inside would have been nice. However, staff was chatty and helpful, found me an English book. They take recycling serious.

When I got there they were closed, "lost" my reservation, so it was a bit stressfull. However, in the end they checked me in, but: I was alone, I mean, the owners gave me the keys and disappeared. So I can't really give a fair review. Internet not always working. Breakfast just basics. The rooms are very spacious with small lockers, but not all padlocks work on them. Excellent location, you don't need to go far to find food and entertainment. Just too much snow!!!

one extremly unfriendly guy in reception, no music, after complaining still had to wait 1 more day. Breakfast a bit sad. All in all no atmosphere and all guest just hiding behind their mobile devices. 0 communication. No hooks in bathroom, only 2 in dorm. Big lockers. The cleanest hostel i´ve been to. Location boring.

Since it used to be a real hotel, bathrooms with tubs and blowdryer. Though pipes etc could use some paint. Vaccuming was a bit wishy-washy, she just vaccumed the front but the back stayed untouched. Mini kitchen with daily specials is fine, the common room is too big to be cozy, and not many people used it during my stay. Breakfast is good, with lots of cereal choices. Fresh seasonal fruit would be nice, even at additional price, lets say $1 for oranges, bananas, etc.

The place is old an very run-down, worn-out. It´s clean but since it is so run-down it doesn´t appear that way. Toilets are frequently clogged. Showers are good. Free stuff in the shower. Common room is in the reception area and small. Kitchen tiny but functional, stove, micro. Rooms ok, but rugs treatbare and paint peeling off the wall. You get what you pay for, it´s cheap.Location is great! The staff is overall friendly and helpful. But paying 1 Pound per bag for storage is bad.

I was the only guest at the hostel, so I had a very spacious 3 bed dorm, no bunks, to myself. Big windows, large indy lockers!' however, the only computer was broken, and there was no entertainment options, no books, tv, movies etc. I took a shower but the shower door was leaking so a lot of water ran all the way to the hallway. it was very slippery and annoying. Hope they´ll fix it soon. The hostel is easy to find just at the end of ped zone and is in a quiet sidestreet.

Hand down the friendliest team in all of the Polish hostels I stayed. Very informative and helpful. I´ve seen some grumpy ones in other hostels. Good location, easy to find, close to everything, train/bus station, city center. Good food right around the corner. My room has desert wallpaper, since I´m from California, it´s so cool. Def recommend this one.

Location is great if you work at Messeplatz, just one line door to door, and since I was working at the fair, very accommodating, since i couldn´t check in during regular hours, i got key and passcode in the morning, they showed me the room in person, brought my luggage to the room, so when i came back at nite, everything was set. i stayed here before, so i know the place. also great shower, handicapped facilities.

Only 2 female bathrooms/showers for the whole floor is clearly not enough. Waiting times. The kitchen is very impersonal and not inviting. You can´t really meet other guests. Only 1 computer for interent which often didn´t work. The disco goes on until 6a.m! Common rooms have no lockers. However, easy to find even at night. Some of the personal only speaks Polish or little German.

Easy to find, close to main road, old town, a bit noisy due to construction across the street. Good breakfast, and very quiet. My room, 3 bed fem dorm, was spacious and the locker/nightstand was a nice additon. Only thing, when I asked 1 of the staff for directions to the fleamarket she sent me to a mall downtown, not amused. But then I went to Interconti hotel and the concierge gave me the right info. So I went Sunday and found good stuff. I would def come back here.

If you're into sleeping in a coffin, ever waned to know what it's like to be dead, or blind, this is the place to be. Basement location, complete with stale air, and windowless room, hence pitch black, not everybody's cup of tea. The staff's mood adds to the somber feel: smiling or greeting is not in their vocabulary. And if you're sharing the room with 2 guys with smelly feet, the gross out factor is +10. Not recommendable.

the rooms - rather cubicles separated by thin partitions, yes you can hear everything next door, don't have windows that open so in the summer it gets really hot and stuffy. The trash seems to always be overflowing, other than that it's a great place.

Generous staff (one Aussie), fairly clean, at least he tried his best.
