Probably one of the best hostels I’ve ever stayed at in terms of cleanliness, modern features —very top notch features —and attention to details (my personal favorite was the rainfall showers). The atmosphere is decent, most people appeared to be working close by and use the hostel as somewhat of a long term stay while others appeared to be living more of a digital nomad lifestyle, so there weren’t many interactions on a day to day. Would definitely stay again. Highly recommended!

Pros: 1. Great location so there’s access to a lot of cafes, restaurants, bars, supermarket within walking distance. 2. Kitchen is always clean. 3. Staff works really hard to maintain cleanliness around the hostel. They are always smiling and are very pleasant to have around. Always willing to help in every way. 4. Beds are comfortable & very high quality pillows. Cons: 1. Shower curtains are growing mold on them. Otherwise, the bathroom is clean. But would recommend changing curtains.

Lounge Hostel Skopje, Skopje, North Macedonia

Clean hostel, relax vibe, good stay, nice location. But.. The receptionist who checked me in wasn’t friendly or welcoming at all. She offered no information about Skopje (things to do etc.). Whenever I asked a question, it appeared as though I was bothering her. They also retain your passport until you pay (I’ve never had that happen before), so it changed the entire idea or vibe I had of this place & sat a tone of mistrust which wasn’t great. Laura (another receptionist) was so kind & friendly.

Thank you for your feedback. We are all humans and making mistakes. It was the last day of work for the girl that checked you in, before traveling out of the country. For sure, this wont happen again.

This place is amazing!! You can easily spend weeks here — it’s one of those places that is very hard to leave. The hosts are so incredibly laid back, friendly & very helpful in suggesting places and things to do. The common area is where the magic happens — the people you meet at the hostel are very social, lovely & warm. You can go out into the town if you’re looking for a good night out and you can relax back at the hostel. I will definitely be staying again! Really enjoyed staying at SLH!!

Pros: The hostel is in a good/relaxed area with lots of cafes, restaurants & bars. Beds are comfortable and the hostel is clean. Con: Any sense of security is practically none existent here. There’s a bar/coworking area on the first floor which gets crowded & loud —the hostel is on the second floor. After I put my stuff in the room, I got dinner & came back. I literally walked off the street & straight up the stairs & no one checked to see who I was or anything. Also, staff is never available.

One of the BEST hostels I’ve ever stayed at. It feels like home & although it’s about 4km from the Old Town, I’m very happy that I chose to stay here than a place in the Old Town. The ocean views from your window, the ability to take a swim only steps from the entrance, the owners are incredibly lovely & SO kind, and it'a very clean hostel. I think this hostel attracts very easygoing & laid back individuals that are just looking to relax and have a chilled time. Highly recommend staying here!!!

Petra Marina, Dubrovnik, Croatia

10th Jun 2019

Pros: OK price for Dubrovnik, beds were comfortable, small kitchen equipped with the basic necessities to make a meal, nice balcony/terrace to watch the sunset, and staff was helpful in organizing tours or day trips both in & out of Croatia. Cons: VERY tiny bathrooms to shower, very clogged shower drain in one bathroom, staff was able to walk in & out of rooms at all times, also without knocking, so it didn’t feel “private” (although it’s a dormitory). But overall, average stay.

Dear guest. Thank you for your positive comments. We have fixed the drain immediatelly, sincere apology for that. Regarding staff entering the room, it is only because of cleaning the room or welcoming our new guests. Best regards. Petra Marima staff

aletto Hotel Kudamm, Berlin, Germany

It’s a decent place to stay for a night or two while passing through Berlin on your way to the airport. Every lower bunk bed had a curtain for privacy so that was very nice. Bathrooms could be a lot cleaner during the day, the lockers were very secured with a code, but very noisy when pressing the numbers to enter the code so that easily woke people up. The slamming of doors in and out of the room made sleeping challenging. But overall an OK stay!

Playa 506 Beachfront Hostel, Puerto Viejo de Talamanca, Costa Rica

I truly enjoyed my stay at Playa 506! At first I thought it was a little difficult to get to from the center of the town because I had arrived by bus at night, but during the day it’s an easy bike ride! Staff was incredibly friendly, atmosphere really calm, breakfast was great, facility very clean (cleaning crew kept the place immaculate everyday), gardeners on site that kept up the aesthetics & owners were friendly as well! This is the only place I’d ever return to when visiting Puerto Viejo!

Palmera Hostel, Medellin, Colombia

It's okay here. Location is close to Carrera La Ochenta y Last Setenta so there's a bunch of restaurants and night life. The downside of this is that you'll hear traffic noise all day (& night) long: honking horns and speeding bikes go by all the time because of this main street. They try to make the hostel hospitable by having a kind of chill out area where you can watch Netflix, play games - whatever you're into. Kitchen is fully equipped which is great. Bathrooms could be cleaned better.

Great location. Quiet and VERY clean! Staff was absolutely amazing: Adiela & Marbelle were the kindest and sweetest people & so was Andres and another girl working the front desk! Breakfast was alright and the pool was a nice have - Cartagena is quite hot! Lockers are quite small and could only fit a small book bag or purse. Overall great stay! Highly recommended.

What an amazing hostel! I arrive quite early in the morning & I was very well received. The staff is absolutely the kindest and most genuine set of people I've ever met while staying at a hostel. The breakfast is SO good!!! The decor, as shown in the photos, are very accurate - beautiful place to stay granted that the city of Cali is quite hot & congested, so having a place like Casa Miraflores to stay at brought so much peace of mind. The vibe is artsy, quite chill & relaxed. Highly recommended

Loved it !! I extended maybe three times &, what was suppose to be a 5 night stay, turned into almost 2+ weeks. Note: This hostel isn't for everyone. It is perfect for the type of person looking for a chilled, communal, true backpacking, beach-bummy experience, someone who is open, friendly & who just don't mind vibing on a beach 24/7 w other like-minded, equally chilled people. Rodrigo, Dai, Norberto & Kris were absolutely the best hosts!!! I could easily spend my entire 6 months here. Gracias!
