Great hostel—super clean, really nice and helpful staff, lots of space to eat and lounge after a full day of walking. Great location for starting the trails. Plus bus drops you right in front. Food is expensive but so is the entire town. Would 100% recommend.

Great hostel overall. Good location (although not as good as Palermo, for instance), very safe and secure entrance and lockers in the rooms, and great terrace. The staff were very nice, but didn't give me the full info about the hostel. Room was great, with AC, and en-suite bathroom (although the shower was so small I couldn't move in it!). The rooms are cleaned every day which is awesome. Atmosphere is generally lacking—no pub crawl or group outings that I saw. But, overall a great hostel.
Thank you so much for taking your time and review us!

Really great staff and location. I was hoping the activities would include some day time stuff like walking tours, and unfortunately the person at the front desk didn't have any suggestions (said it was too early in the year). I found a walking tour online, but it would be really great if you could have some recommendations for walking, food, beer tours, etc. even in the off season! The hostel is clean and comfortable, but my room was particularly damp and humid. Overall a great hostel tho!
Hi there! Thanks for your great review. We're sorry that our recommendations weren't up to scratch. It's true that most tour companies do not run tours until May. In the future, we'll be happy to write suggested routes around the city on one of our free maps. Also, we'll begin to incorporate more outside activities into our weekly schedule as it gets warmer, in addition to the tour to Mont Royale that we already run on Wednesdays. We hope to see you again soon so you can check them out.

Really nice hostel. Great location, super comfy beds, very clean rooms and bathrooms. Common area is super cozy, and the restaurant/bar has great prices for good food and beer. Staff very helpful and nice. Might be a little difficult to meet people if you're a social traveler (they don't have any organized hostel events). Otherwise, it's a really great hostel and I would recommend it to everyone.
Dear Lily. Thank you for this review. We truly hope that we will keep this level of service and even go higher one day. Hope that you will stay with us again and that you will still think the same about us. Until next time we wish you the best of luck on your travels.

Very much disliked this hostel. Central location, comfy beds, clean bathrooms, but no communal atmosphere and incredibly rude staff members. Very much like staying at a hotel. The rooftop is nice if the weather is warm, but the only other common area is the downstairs lounge where people don't really mingle and it seems that you have to order food or drinks. Staff was the rudest I have ever encountered--did not feel welcome or safe there. Stay in a friendly, nice hostel and walk into the center.

This hostel is amazing! Staff and guests all super friendly and fun (I miss you, Bob!!). Very good atmosphere for meeting people. Common spaces, rooms, bathrooms all very nice, clean, super cozy. Great location. 100% recommend.

Very nice hostel, but it's HUGE. If you're traveling alone, I probably wouldn't recommend it. Wouldn't be too easy to meet people. Facilities are very nice, clean, and super comfortable. Restaurant/bar is really nice, as is the pool. Great location for going out, and the metro is very close to go into the city center.

Amazing hostel! Staff are so friendly and helpful, not to mention unbelievable cooks. Good vibes and good people all around. Facilities are clean, comfortable, spacious. Great location, can walk to everything and the metro is across the street (for bus or train stations, it's super easy). Lots of fun to be had here! 100% recommend.

Very nice hostel. Clean, comfortable, cozy. Good location, a bit out of the city center, but so are all the hostels in Vienna. Super close to the metro station. Staff were super friendly, but it felt a little more like a hotel than a hostel. No hostel events or anything. Would still stay here again though, very nice hostel.

Best hostel ever. Small, cozy, feels like you're immediately part of a family. Everyone is super friendly and the staff take you out drinking. Very clean, big rooms and nice bathrooms. Not a party hostel like the others in Budapest, but a great time with great people. 100% recommend.

This is by far the nicest hostel I have ever stayed at. Incredibly clean, super comfy beds (SUPER), and an awesome location. It can get pretty pricey on the weekends and for late bookings, but the facilities are well worth the money. Food at the restaurant is SO YUMMY. Staff are hit or miss really--some are super, super friendly and helpful whereas others were slightly cold (especially in the restaurant). Also, the night dude was nice deep down but he really needs to chill out. Otherwise, great!

Amazing hostel. Very clean, super comfy and private beds, great bathrooms/showers, super nice and helpful staff, the cafe next door is lovely, and the location really can't be beat. If you're going to Meteora, definitely stay here. One of the nicest hostels I've stayed at. It's their first season running the hostel, and everything is new and spectacularly clean. 100% recommend.

Okay hostel. If you're going to Meteora, better to stay at the hostel in Kalabaka. It's nice to be in Trikala if you want to be in more of a city scene, but it is a 40 min. bus ride to Kalabaka and then another 15 minutes on a different bus up to the monasteries. Staff was friendly and helpful, and there's a nice general atmosphere. Things could definitely be more clean (bathrooms, sheets in particular). Would recommend if you want to be in Trikala, but for Meteora go to the hostel in Kalabaka.

Great location with great value. Laid back atmosphere. My roommates never locked the door, seemed like anyone could just walk in the back stairs, but I had a locker, and I never felt the threat of theft. The rooms and bathrooms were very clean; although beds are pretty flimsy and don't have ladders. The staff was fairly helpful, but the general atmosphere was not overly social--many longer-term guests. Great value for a good place to rest your head + explore, but don't expect any hostel events.

I can't sing this hostel's praises enough. The staff is incredible. The hostel facilities, cleanliness, security, location, and value just can't be paralleled. The dorm rooms are incredibly clean, no bunk beds, high ceilings. The pool and deck are too good be true. They offer to lock your valuables in the most secure way I've ever seen at a hostel or hotel. The vibe is incredibly friendly and fun--everyone goes out together at night (at least during the shoulder season). 100% recommend.

Awesome hostel! Staff was so friendly and helpful throughout the stay. Super clean, comfortable, and cool decor throughout the place. The rooftop bar is really nice and the food is really good but a bit pricey. The breakfast was great (2.5 euro) as was the airport shuttle (12 euro). Great location close to plaza mayor. Not really a kitchen if you want to cook your own food, but they have some appliances to do so. Overall would hands down recommend this place!

Had a pretty awful stay at this hostel. Staff was super unfriendly and unhelpful, except the bar staff who were all he complete opposite and so nice. A lot of super rude and disrespectful guests staying there. Good location and the beds are nice. For any solo or small group travelers, I would recommend looking for a better, smaller hostel with good staff and guests.

This hostel is in an amazing location right on the beach. The food at the restaurant is really good and well priced (10% discount too). Room was nice, clean, comfortable, with small safes at each bed. The downside was the staff both in the hostel and in the bar. In be bar, they were super nice but terribly inattentive. The owners of the hostel were pretty rude to me during my entire stay and definitely did not make me feel welcomed. But for the location I would probably stay again.
Hello customer, thank you very much for your nice comment on our hostel. It is pretty pleasant to see that you have enjoyed your time here. We are sorry that we may have seemed to be rude with you, we are kind of surprise too because we always do our best to welcome people as they were part of the famili Bellavista. We can ensure you that if you come again at our hostel, we will be pleased to welcome you again. Kind regards, Bellavista Playa team

Amazing hostel! Super clean, comfortable, and safe. Great staff. Amazing amazing views from the rooftop terrace. Good breakfast in the morning. Kitchen and such for cooking (although they could use a wine opener!!). Does feel a bit like a hotel, not a super social, party hostel, but I still met some great people. Steps away from the cathedral and lots of shops and restaurants. Loved staying here and will definitely come back!!

Was a fine hostel, but I visited during the feria and there were lots of loud and slightly rude guests. The staff couldn't really be bothered with any questions or requests. I think it would be a nice hostel if it weren't during such a crazy time. The roof bar and pool looked very nice. Room and bathroom were clean, spacious, and comfy. Overall a good hostel but the staff could improve the atmosphere and energy.
Dear Lily, Thank you for your review. I'm sorry if the staff didn't help you with your requests but I can assure you it was not intencional and probably because they were busy being Feria and the busiest time in the hostel. That is why there is also a customer service desk to help our guests with all their needs. Hope to see you another time!!

Amazing hostel! Super clean, comfortable, and safe. Staff was so unbelievably welcoming and helpful from the time I first buzzed the door. Great location in walking distance of everything. Hostel dinners were so great--cheap (tips) and super social--and the morning churros were basically breakfast for me. Plus, they made my birthday wonderful. Thank you thank you, thank you, Sungate staff!!

Great hostel: clean, comfortable, safe, food location. It must have been a hotel in a past life, because my room had a super nice hotel bathroom in it (!). The location is awesome and the staff were really friendly and helpful. Breakfast is good and the lounge areas are really nice. I was there on a Monday and there weren't many people, so it was difficult to meet others as a solo traveler. Might be different during the weekend! But overall a great hostel.

Only stayed for one night but it was absolutely great. No bunk beds, clean bathroom en suite, super friendly and helpful staff, free tea, luggage storage, lockers in the room. Awesome decor and in a great location for walking around the city. Very quiet and restful place.

Awesome hostel in a great location. Totally clean, comfortable, and new. Great food and drinks deals at both the cafe and bar. Awesome washer and dryer for just a few pounds. Lockers in room right next to beds and personal outlets. Staff was so accommodating and nice. Only thing is that it could really use a common room that isn't the bar/cafe and computers for guests to use. But overall an awesome hostel and would definitely stay again!

Central location and helpful staff. Reasonably clean and comfortable. The 22-bed room could use more than one shower!
