This is a backpacker friendly hotel. Dorm life living with all the perks of a hotel. Lush fluffy towels, pool, buffet breakfast etc. The location is perfect and the staff where so very helpful and accommodating. We recommend and we came back for a second stay.

Really well set up backpackers hostel great location breakfast and atmosphere. My only criticism would be that the room was very damp and also fairly dark. Aside from this is a great place to stay and meet other travels #MimisOnTheMove

Great location, cleaned often, helpful staff and lots of other travellers despite low season. Delicious Goan breakfasts! Feedback; Remember you're a hostel first and a coffee shop second. For some reason the price of our bed increased during our stay by R50 from one night to the next so double check prices. Had a great stay would come back :)
Thanks for the feedback, we're glad you found the hostel conveniently located and liked your experience here. Our prices in the dorms increased by 50 rupees from August 1st onwards which is why the price changed from one day to the next, however, we made sure to list these prices months in advance on all platforms. It was great having you over and we hope you enjoy the rest of your travels!

Lovely clean hostel with everything you need. Of course alll of Palolem is pretty empty during low season so we found it verry quite and had the whole room to our selfs and didn't see many other guests. I can see this hostel would be really great in high season. The breakfast isn't quite a masala dosa but is really yummy!

Visited in low season and was the only place in Gokarna that seemed to have any guests in. Staff were super helpful and eager to please but it felt quite over priced and no added extras like towels or breakfast. I can imagine in high season this place would be awesome as it looks over the beach and has lots of benches to chill on and soak up all the views.
Hello! Thank you for reviewing our hostel. We are sorry to hear that you didn't quite enjoy the Zostel experience. Being a backpackers hostel, we don't provide extras such as towels and other toiletries. Breakfast is available at our cafe on a-la-carte basis. We hope you would visit us once again in the on-season and we promise a much better time. :) Thanks. Zostel

Great clean hostel, but I would not recommend as I was there is low season and it was entirely empty. The staff were lovely but it also acts as a hotel. There are just better, more backpacker-ey places to stay in Chiang Mai, the hostel and the location was great though.

Great hostel, very backpacker. The views from the rooftop where stunning and this downtown hostel is much better than the other one in town. Some of the stuff didn't seem to care too much and could have been a little bit more helpful but over all it's a really great hostel and I would recommend. (Also it doesn't flood in rainy season like some of the other hostel allegedly do)

Really cute little hostel. The staff where so nice it's family owned. Great location and very clean. The room I was in did feel fairly cramped (6 bed dorm) but if you can live with that then it's a great place to stay!

The location isn't the best, I would recommend being on the other side of the river. We noticed they didn't change the sheets after every guest but when it suited them They where stingy with the AC on really hot days. With some issues the staff just didn't seem to care about the guests Aside from all there's negatives it's an okay hostel but I would not recommend.
Thank you for your reply. We do really appreciate it. However, we just wanna correct something. Firstly, about the location, we are right in the heart of the city. 3 mins to the river, 10 mins to the beach, and every convenience places around you. Where can you find all the specialities gathering in just one place as our area? Where can you find all the best bars in Danang gathering in just one street as our area? On the other hand, about the sheet, how can we change the it if the guest have not check out yet? We do not have the right to do so. What if we touch your stuffs without your agreement then you find out that you lose something, it is surely our staffs' fault. We will not touch your properties until you ask for. Well, about the AC, we showed you the remote already. We let you control everything in the room that not many hostels do it. We do because we understand how extreme and uncomfortable our weather is. However, we need to save the world. Thousands of people are living every day without electricity - the basic thing that the modern human deserve. We do what we thought rightly but seriously it does not bother our guests. We turn off the AC when all of you are already out. The AC for the room with no one is so wasteful. However, whenever you come back, you can turn the AC on by yourself and it takes within just 5 mins. Thanks again for your review. Have a nice trip ahead.

Nice hostel, every thing was great but they kept asking me and many other guests to move rooms all the time. I started 3 nights and slept in 3 different rooms..

Good hostel, it functions and the staff where nice. The top floor was stunning but when I was there is was so very quite and there where hardly any other guest. It's also a hotel so you meet less people.

Good hostel, berry clean and good facilities. I didn't use the laundry but the room was very messy with domestic sheets every where Staff where really friend but not over informative. The rooms are small but the beds are conferrable. Good communal spaces too

Kitchen was not clean, the rooms were. Great access to the beach. Slightly quite feet to the place. Free breakfast was nice unless your gluten free. Then nothing is available.

The staff where all lovely, they have a really nice communal area. There are lockable cabinets in each room though for a dorm of 4 there where only two. A little tricky if you travel solos. Everything was very clean and the kitchen was great. I would recommend

Nice homy hostel with a good kitchen. Right next to many good nightlife locations but once your inside you don't get any lastingly noise. Would recommend it

was a great hostel, right next to the Jack pub also in a really good location. I was on the motel side of the accommodation. As a backpacker this was not ideal as your not part of the kitchen, laundry, common room etc. The room was nice and clean but this didn't seem to stop the cockroaches though. All said its a good hostel and I would recommend it.
