A pretty front garden, courteous and efficient staff, and a good value cooked breakfast, also very close to the University and twenty minutes walk to the town centre. However, the 6-bed male dorm bathroom needs a serious splash of bleach - I do not think the shower recess was cleaned at all in the three days I was there.

Thank you for a pleasant and efficient stay in London.

One of the best hostels I´ve ever stayed in! The elevator in the foyer is hidden off to the right, so you don´t need to trudge up the stairs with your backpack. Light, airy, and very clean. The "lights off at 11pm" policy caught some of us off guard, but isn´t a bad idea really!

This place is just brilliant. I'm here studying in the Imperial War Museum, and it's just around the corner. The area is friendly, pre-schools nearby attest to it's safety, and loaded with green parks and quiet streets. It's a nice walk to Westminster across the Bridge, and the street towards the Tube station has great little supermarkets, a post office, pubs and Indian restaurants. Stuffiness of rooms easily fixed with windows and door stops.

Eastener Hostel

Berlin, Germany

Definately not a party hostel, mostly because it has no common room aside from the kitchen table. Very well located near restaurant areas and locally-populated kebab shop, the Oriental Grill. Good internet cafe nearby if you don't want the free internet in the hostel. Excellent and somewhat fancy all-you-can-eat breakfast at Green Eggs across the road. Walking distance from Friedriech Station. Staff member Samira was just lovely.

The Museum Guest House 2

Budapest, Hungary

A very well-positioned place, but not a romantic location (ie, no Danube views!). Loved the balcony over the street, overlooking the yellow and white art deco building. Spacious and well designed so the potentially noisier common room and large dorms are away from the smaller dorms. Find the street entrance by looking for the small businesses advertising tribal art, beads, etc. Recommended!

Big Hostel

Sydney, Australia

A comfortable, clean crash pad with plenty of pamphlets and a very large TV. Helpful desk staff too. $20 key deposit.
