Fantatic location, modern feel. Staff generally helpful, towels inclded. Avoid staying in small 8 bed dorm as its incredibly small but larger 8 bed is fine. Breakfast - muesli, cornflakes, toast and watermelon, coffee, tea. Wifi a bit hit and miss. No social atmosphere at all - more of a place to retreat to yourself.

Hey. Thank you so much for your review. It is a pleasure to read that you loved our location and that you had a great experience with our very friendly staff. We have dorms that come in different sizes as we have to work with the space we have which is limited in the old quarter in Hanoi. All our beds are specifically designed with the modern traveller in mind with comfy mattresses, locker, reading lamp and plug sockets. We also have numerous social areas for you to hang out and meet other travellers. Safe travels and hope to see you again soon. Team Nexy

My partner and I loved it here! So much so two nights turned into four! Breakfast buffet in the morning delicious - sausages, eggs, toast, beans, fresh fruit, (english) tea, coffee etc! Staff were delightful, food at restaurant delicious (more expensive) and free refills of drinking water. There is a tiny shop of a local guy in a shed selling beers and water etc for cheaper. One tiny thing - no aircon in dorms but is a big fan Perfect location of a 5-10min walk to orangutan. and bears.

Staff were excellent in setting up the excursions for us. Breakfast very basic - toast, hard boiled eggs, hotdog sausage, coffee. Bunkbed dorm simple, aircon was a nice touch. Location great, would recommend staying here

Room did the job as a double for my partner and I. Mam lovely member of staff, very kind. Only issue was the indian men downstairs of chungking mansion hassling you to sell knock off handbags/watches etc.

I cannot fault Ken, he was such a lovely guy meeting us at the train station and taking the bus with us back to his and helping my partner carry our bags, but... The area he lives in just did not feel safe, a run down area and quite poverty stricken from the looks of it. Would not recommend if solo travelling! Personally, it shouldnt be defined as a hostel, it's a guesthouse. It's his spare room. Ken himself was great, but felt unnerved throughout our stay due to the location.

An excellent hostel that made you feel welcome from arrival until departure. We were picked up from the train station which was very useful. The staff were great, especially the star Frances who taught us Chinese calligraphy, mandarin and some Chinese dance too, all for free! The downstairs common area is great for socialising and free activities take place every evening. The location is good with a convenient bus stop just outside.
