Really good hostel. The manangers are both very helpful and the entire staff are very friendly. The hostel is very clean. It's located in a calm residential area. They have a really nice and cosy roof terrace. The food being served there is worth trying. Wifi is good. Higly recommended.

I liked the hostel. It is well located, calm and clean. Very relaxed atmosphere. The Staff is friendly and helpful. It has a common area to chill and meet fellow travelers. Wifi was fast and reliable. Only downside is that the private rooms don't have ensuite bathrooms.

It's not actually a hostel, but a hotel. So there is no common area to meet fellow travellers. But it is a beautiful place. Everything is clean and really nicely decorated. The staff is friendly and helpful. The hotel's drivers very quite good. The location is just perfect: just a couple of hundred meters from the market and pub street but still in a very calm street. Highly recommended.

Not a backpackers' place but a budget hotel. Therefore it lacks atmosphere and possibilities to meet fellow travelers. Staff is friendly and everything is clean. Free parking was nice. Breakfast was ok. Location: Secure area, about 10-15 min. walk to city center. There is also a bus going from across the street.

Location: Just 5-10 min walk from the city center. Secure area. Everything is very new and clean. Although everything is in place there is very little atmosphere. Staff is willing to help but they let you feel that they don't like their job and that you are bothering them. Free parking was nice.

The hostel is perfectly located at the city wall. Main attractions are within walking distance. It is VERY clean and well organized. Staff is trying to help with your way around but seem to knows very little about the town. Free parking is a plus. Not a typical backpacking place but a good budget hotel.

Very good hostel. Perfectly located close to causeway bay subway station. 9-bed dorms were spacious, clean and had large individual lockers. Showers were clean. Even though it is kind of big, it still feels cosy and has one inside common area and two terraces to meet fellow travellers. Staff is friendly and everything is well organized. Highly recommended.

Enjoyed my stay. Staff is amazingly friendly and helpful. They all speak english and seem to honestly want to make your stay pleaseant one. Met a lot of people in the common area. BBQ-night was fun. At first sight it looks a bit run down because the old building is not well renovated, but it's still very clean. And how could you complain considering the price? Bar prices are alright as well. It's located a bit south from central Guilin, but close enough to walk or take a bus. Highly recommended.

Really liked the hostel. I stayed in a private room and it was clean, had a good shower and was spacious enough. Really good value for money. The bar is a bit pricy but offers everything you could ask for and was a nice place to meet travelers and locals. Best thing was the lovely staff. Location is good and the sister hostel with a roof terrace is just a couple of metres away. Free activities like dumpling party or walking tour through the Muslim quarter were fun. Highly recommended.

I loved my stay in the hostel. It's so peaceful and the entire staff is so friendly and helpful. It is in a really small town in the middle of nowhere so I was a bit worried about getting there but everything went perfectly. A bit on the pricy side but still worth it. Highly recommended.

Really good hostel. Nicely decorated. The staff is very friendly and helps finding your way around and organizing things. They booked a train ticket for me. Had it in my hands just a couple of hours later. Prices for rooms, food and drinks are good. The place is very nicely located in a small hutong neighbourhood north of Jingshan park . Restaurants and shops are nearby. 10-15 mins to subway station. Only downside is that there is no real outside area. Highly recommended though.

One of the best hostels I've been to. Very conviniently located close to Itaewon subway station. Calm area but everything close-by. The hostel is very small an cosy. Nice common area and roof terrace. Jin is a really nice guy who is always there to help. Felt more like staying over at a friend's shared flat than a hostel. Highly recommended.

I liked the hostel. The location is nice - just a couple of meters from the beach. But apart from that there is not much around. No common area. More of a budget hotel than a backpackers place. Still, staying in an old train has been a nice experience. Stayed for one night. That was enough. Private room was tiny but clean. Shared showers not so much. Very secure area. Staff ok.

I only stayed for one night so it's difficult to tell. The hostel is located in a residential area close to the airport. It felt safe and calm. Not many people were staying, so not much of party place. But that might be different in high season. Everything was clean and in place. The owner is a really nice guy and I felt very welcome.

This was my second stay in this hostel and it's still one of the best I've been to. Located in the center of the medina, 3 minutes from Jemaa el-Fnaa. It's calm, relaxing, clean and feels absolutely secure. It has a great roof terrace and the atmosphere is beautiful. But the best thing about the hostel is the friendly and welcoming staff.

Dear Thomas, Many thanks for your kind review. We really enjoyed having you stay too! You are right, there are many great hostels in Marrakech to party at, but if you are looking for somewhere to chill out for a while and meet some lovely people in the calm within the chaos, Layla's is a marvellous place to be. You are welcome back anytime for tea!
