Not a bad place to stay, out of the way a bit from the touristy areas but easily reachable by the Metro during its opening hours - and the hostel gives you a business card with the directions in Thai for any moto/taxi meters you might take. Still, orient yourself with the city in case they take you to some 'gem shop' or 'sexy massage' accidentally on purpose. Big friendly roaches are there to greet you on the street at night, so wear shoes if you don't like bugs.
Good place, ok, good pool
Not a bad place, bit noisy, but then it is central and construction in Philippines is 24/7 - nice staff, especially Reece, nice bloke willing to assist and quite friendly. Even the 7/11 is friendly welcoming customers in the door - where do you get that in the world! Never had breakfast, was too hungover - cheap beer in Manila, the night market outside is excellent place in the evening to listen to music/eat food/cheap beer and the guy's Louis Armstrong 'What a wonderful world' impresssion

I got offered another property because the one advertised was full. I then wanted to cut my holiday short due to unforseen circumstances by 3 days and the silly cow only gave me one night of payment back. I wouldn't stay here again.
Joanna and Peter are the bomb - real nice people. Same with Kiev, though some dickhead tried picking a fight with me in the street - i think it was racially motivated because he wasn't drunk (i look asian, but am kiwi) otherwise, a nice city.
