Hootananny Hostel

There was a great gypsy folk gig on downstairs and I loved the fact that I needed a key and 3 different codes to get into my dorm from the street. The NZ/ French guy at reception was nice and was cooking for everyone. The place is a hoot and perfect if you are going to O2 academy. Common room on Sat afternoon did have the loudest Australians in history, who talked all over Dirty Harry, then turned over to a bad music channel just as Clint was about to deliver the classic line. Punks.

I had a very happy two days here with surfers from all over. Friendly communal atmosphere and lovely roof terrace, very close to beach. The location is much more suitable for surfing rather than for partying, very close to La Punta breaks. Only average because there were no dorm lockers...but excellent value

When I was here the owner has away on holiday, so the place was being run by guests...which was pretty hilarious, especially as the bar was working on an honesty book system, overseen by a few permanently drunk Australians...it is close to one really nice beach, but not much else (though taxis are very cheap anyways)...I recommend it for a few nights for a bit of craic...

Thanks to Gabriel, Sophie et al. The hostel was very quiet when I was there, but it was perfect. The breakfast is delicious, it is close to the centre, the showers are good and the roof terrace is nice. I only have good things to say about this hostel!

I was literally the only person in the hostel during my stay, just before Cervantino festival. The staff are friendly, the view is very beautiful, the breakfast is excellent (including cactus). Although it was quiet it was a very nice stay, worth the 165 steps for certain...

South Beach Hostel

I was only here one night, the staff were very helpful, but room 101 was like a bomb had gone off. In every way you could think of, the international travellers hostel on 9th street is better (I stayed there one week). Sorry south beach hostel, truth hurts.
