I've been staying in hostels around the world for at least 10 years and I can say that this hostel is the worst!. It´s dirty, noisy, half of the staff is rude and again is VERY dirty, despite the efforts of the cleaning personnel. Unless you want to go back to your freshman sorority unclean untidy house AVOID this hostel!!!

Evening staff is great and everybody speaks fluently and friendly spanish and english. It is really easy to find it, loved it: clean, quiet (ignoring snoring and not nice party boys...), confortable... definitely would go back!

Tamarindo bed and breakfast

I really liked the place and Eliane is really really nice, although It was really strange that it is a "B&B" that has no breakfast included. Also, it would have been great to have a working stove, because I bought stuff to prepare a warm meal confident that it would be possible and it wasn't. Great place to stay, but be aware of the massive amount of mosquitoes at sunset!!!

We are looking forward to go back there: bread is fresh, tasty and home made, it's quiet but not boring, and Don Raul promised us a pool for next year, which is currently being done!

Buena Vista Hostal

Arequipa, Peru
100%

Despite the fact that it is not exactly in the heart of Arequipa, after a 15 minute walk you arrive to Plaza de Armas, and from there to anywere. They treat everybody great and do as much as the can (and even more) to make you feel great (and they do so!). Rocío, Marco and Braulio are great. Beds soft and clean. You can contact all the trips through them... in one word EXCELLENT!
