Stayed 4 nights in a 3 mixed dorm ensuite. The hostel is situated at the end of the main tourist street. Peaceful and nice view from the balcony over the valley. Good value for money. Only cons: Slightly funky smell in the room and the bathroom could be cleaner.
Booked a 4 mix dorm. Two days before arrival the manager informed me that the room is temporarily not available because of a pipe burst.. Offered me a privat room for 20$. I cancelled the reservation and on arrival in Sa Pa went to the hotel to get my prepayment back.
Stayed 3 nights in a 6 mixed dorm ensuite. Good location, clean, well organized, smart & friendly staff. Would stay here again.
Stayed 1 night in a 4 mixed dorm ensuite. Everything like in the description: 1x1m bathroom, fan+air con, noisy (room was facing the main street - earplugs!), airport bus stop close by. If you keep ignoring the situation on the ground floor, okay priced and very central location for your stay in HK.
Stayed 5 nights in a privat double room ensuite. On arrival our room was not ready (3pm!?!) and we had to move to another hostel in the next block which cooperates with the New China. Nevertheless the room was like in the description: room size of a queen size bed, 1x1m bathroom, clean, fan+air con, fast wifi, quiet, airport bus stop close by. If you keep ignoring the situation on the ground floor, it's a cheap and very central location for your stay in HK.
We stayed 3 nights in a private twin room ensuite. A peaceful place only 5 min by foot from the beach. It is located in Zeng cuo an (the location shown on hostelworld's maps is wrong!!!) in an area popular by Chinese tourists with bars, shops & restaurants. It's a bit far from the city center (taxi 20¥). Youself Inn doesn't offer any food or laundry service. Quick Wifi.
Stayed one night in a twin room ensuite. Read the other comments and you know what you'll get! What I would like to point out is the staff! Speaks English, smart and attentive! The best I ever had in a hostel in China!

We stayed 3 nights (twin room w. shared bathrooms). Excellent location near to the Bund (5min by foot) & to Nanjing Road (3min). The lounge is a good place to meet other travelers. Cheap beer. On the contrary some of the staff were pretty useless/unmotivated, facilities were poor (e.g. only 1 (!) working washing machine/dryer for the hole hostel with restricted periods for use, wifi slow, half of the toilets not working), noisy & people were smoking in the rooms/ toilets despite the prohibition.
Stayed two nights in a doubelbed room with shared bathroom. The Mingtown is located next to the Pingjinan Road what makes it a perfect base to explorer Suzhou's oldtown. The style of the hostel and the faciliies are appealling. Only cons are that it can get noisy, the slow Wifi and the general mosquito problem in the city. After reading the other comments we saw that coming and could prepare. Nevertheless I can recommend it and would stayed there again next time.
Stayed 2 nights in a privat twin bed room. The room and the bathroom are quite basic, but clean and okay value for the money. The advantage of the Kayiue is it's location, the lounge and the mixed crowd of guests.
Let's make it short. Most of the critiques were already mentioned in older reviews: Plus: - location - price - Galina is very nice and helpful - double room is very nice (new bed & windows) - authentic soviet style atmosphere - if you like cats, this is a plus Minus: - the dorm is badly worn out (beds are uncomfy, messy) - restroom and kitchen are dirty - kitchen very small - if you don't like cats, that's not the right place for you. They are all over the place.
